James and Anya make do with their situation and cooperate, even if it might just be temporary.
James asks Anya more about the people who used to have her work for them as a slave, and Anya doesn't waste much time and begins to tell James even more than he asked for, about her past and how she came to end up working for demons as a slave. James listened, though he did get bored at some point while hearing what she had to say, until she began to speak of where their main base was.
Anya spoke of the place where she would go after finishing their missions, and told James what it was in the demon realm.
James became a bit hesitant when he heard that they would have to go to the demon realm just to see Fae.
Anya didn't pay much attention to James expression and kept talking on a matter involving her and some of what James wanted to hear.
After several minutes, Anya finished explaining what James wanted to hear and asked James what they should do at that moment.

James tells Anya that since she'll be staying with him, she'll need to find something to do in her free time if she doesn't plan on helping him.
Anya asks James what he means, and he further explains that because of the soul binding, she can't really leave his side, at least for the time being, as if she dies, he'd also die.
Anya is listening to what James says, but then suddenly becomes flustered, as she realises that James is basically asking her to live with him.
James noticed that Anya's face suddenly became flushed, and tried to calm her down, and said that they could live separately if she wasn't comfortable staying in the same place as him. He insisted that they had to stay close, just in case something unexpected were to happen.
Anya pouted and told James not to change his mind on things so easily, and asked James when she said she wouldn't help him.
James is shocked at how Anya is acting, but he doesn't think much of it. James asks Anya why she'd even help him, and Anya tells James that she can't let him go alone, as if he somehow ends up dying, even with how strong he is, she'd also end up dead without even getting to live her life to the fullest.
James accepted her reasoning and told her that if she wanted to help him, then she'd also need to get stronger.
Anya asked what James had in mind, and he told her that before she trapped him in her pocket dimension, he was in the dungeon trying to gauge his strength and improve it; however, he realised that since he could so easily get trapped by her, his strength isn't enough to go up against Fae and the people who enslaved her yet.
Anya accepts his reasoning and asks what type of training they should do to get stronger.
James says he'll find something to do; he can't be sure as of yet, but for the time being, he still wants to go back to the dungeon and test out his abilities and magic more before deciding anything.
