Chapter 94 - Episode 94 — “Paths That Bind, Eyes That See”

A Road Split by Fate

The vast, dried path stretches endlessly. Grass sways gently as the golden warmth of the setting sun spills across the cracked roads, tired trees, and restless leaves. Nature breathes calmly—

until—

SLAM!

The colossal doors of the Sentinels Organisation burst open behind them. A deep, echoing creak rolls through the air as four figures emerges from the shadows into the light.

Shammroy.

Kaizer.

Querion.

Ferin.

They walk side by side, their steps steady and calm—too calm. The kind of calm that exists only before a storm.

Querion, Ferin, and Kaizer exchange glances at Shammroy—not with fear, but with something heavier— recognition. A realization settles in their eyes. They no longer look at him as a commander who walks ahead or leads them…

but as the one who carries weight for everyone behind him. A bearer. A pillar.

As their walks.

The path ahead splits into two.

Shammroy exhales slowly and steps closer, studying both routes. Behind him, Ferin's gaze tightens—an unspoken dread flickering beneath his calm. A fear that one day, the person he trusts and loves most might walk away beyond his reach.

Shammroy tired, unsure,

"If we choose this path… it'll circle around that small hill and maybe lead to a village? …Which village does it leads?"

He sighs again, rubbing his neck.

"Whatever. Let's go back the same way we came. That'll lead straight to Valkerio village—no delay."

He moves forward.

Shammroy ,calling out,

"Guys, keep up!"

Kaizer ,caught off-guard,

"What—wait!?"

Querion instantly tenses and runs ahead, but Shammroy suddenly stops, irritation flashing across his face.

Shammroy , frustrated,

"Guess this is slow too… argh! Why is this path so narrow now?!"

Kaizer , grimacing,

"Not just narrow—it's slippery."

Querion ,confused,

"Yeah. It was fine when we came earlier. Why does it feel like the path itself changed? What happened in between?!"

They proceed carefully, stepping down the slick, muddy slope. Each step is measured. One mistake could send them sliding.

Kaizer leads.

Shammroy follows.

Behind him—Ferin.

Querion closes the line.

Then—Ferin stops.

Shammroy turns.

Shammroy ,impatient,

"Why did you stop?"

Querion nudges Ferin's back.

Querion ,low, urging,

"Bro, move."

Ferin doesn't lift his head.

Ferin ,quiet, heavy,

"Shammroy… we need to talk."

Shammroy nods quickly.

Shammroy ,brushing it off,

"Yeah, we'll talk down there. Just move for now. Come ."

Ferin ,firm,

"No. Here."

Shammroy's patience cracks.

Shammroy ,annoyed,

"Don't act foolish. Staying here is dangerous. Move—and keep quiet. No more talks."

Ferin's head lifts slightly. His voice trembles, not with fear—but hurt.

Ferin ,restrained anger,

"Who's acting foolish here? You're the one doing it."

Shammroy's eyes harden.

Ferin finally explodes.

Ferin,bursting out,

"What do you think you're doing? You keep walking straight into danger like it means nothing!"

Shammroy ,heated,

"What concern is it of yours? This is my path. I already said it the day we met—if anything happens to me, I won't let it touch any of you."

Silence snaps.

Then—

Ferin ,yelling, breaking,

"What are you talking? We're not worried about our lives—we're worried about yours!"

His words spill uncontrollably.

"You challenged the cosmic gods by binding a cosmic beast. You made them see you as a threat. Then you stood before the Sentinels and declare yourself same thing by saying , you'd rule those who created the rules. Now the Vanguards, the Anchors—and even the Everflame King Phosperisus—are watching you and behind you."

His breath shakes.

"Every direction is dangerous. One wrong moment and it'll cost your life. I don't want that."

His eyes soften, pain surfacing.

"No one stood for me and I don't think anyone can stood for rather than my parents, but you did. You cared for me when no one else did! You fought nobles for me—when I didn't even have a place on my own planet."

He steps closer.

"The day you invited me into your group… I decided something. I wouldn't let anything happen to you as long as I stay by you're side."

Kaizer moves beside Shammroy.

Kaizer ,steady, sincere,

"Ferin's right. I always consider you as my late brother. The day you accepted me into this group—I made that vow too myself, to regret my mistake."

Querion steps forward, scoffing lightly.

Querion ,half-smiling,

"Hold on. I was here first."

He looks at Shammroy.

"When I met this idiot, he nearly got himself killed just to became me something. He turned me into a hero on my planet that once hated me. He shared meals, laughter… trained me through my weaknesses."

His voice lowers.

"He chose someone rejected by his own bloodline. I will never forget his first appearance."

Shammroy stands silent. His eyes soften. The tension drains from his face, replaced by something rare.

A smile.

Not pride.

Not arrogance.

Understanding.

He bumps them lightly.

Shammroy ,warm, teasing,

"Brotherhood isn't built by words, fools."

The ground beneath them suddenly gives way.

They slip.

They fall.

Mud splashes everywhere. Groans echo—then laughter.

Shammroy laughs first. The others follow. For a moment, the world is light again.

Eyes That Watch from Afar

The laughter fades into silence.

Back inside the Sentinels Organisation, tension thickens the air.

The Vanguards stand still except ziasian,as the Anchors prepare to leave—

until—

Ziasian calm, probing,

"We have many anomalies in our records. Then why does this one guy —Seyokthai—concern you so deeply, respected Anchors?"

Anchor 4 measured,

"What are you implying?"

Ziasian persistent,

" I am implying….We've faced irregularities before. We never held back. But Why now?"

Anchor 2 exhales slowly.

Anchor 2 reflective,

"You haven't seen him, ziasian. That's why."

The scene shifts.

An academy arena.

Seyokthai stands with masked on his face before a roaring dragon—its wings cracking the air like thunder.

Anchor 2 voiceover,

"At one day, I went to the valkerio academy. When I entered the arena at the Dean's request… that's when I see Seyokthai — he wasn't tense. He was calm. And stood cautiously before that dragon."

Seyokthai tosses a wand at random point. It plants into the ground.

The dragon unleashes venomous thunder.

Seyokthai doesn't dodge.

He simply turns.

The attack stops—right at the infront wand — it seems like the wand is something special that blocks the venomous thunder with it's sheer energy.

But it is —

The limit.

He moves.

Before anyone could understand the things, he rushes to the dragon and then — A turn-kick unbalances the dragon. A single, precise strike collapses it.

Back in the arena—

Anchor 2 ,astonished,

"Does that wand have any kind of some power?"

Dean ,smiling softly,

"No."

Anchor 2 ,confused,

"Then how did the power blocked—?"

Dean, proud,

"He sees attacks before they exist. He predicts —Their reach, Their strength, and Their end."

Back to the Sentinels—

Anchor 2, grave,

"And something later I know is , that the same dragon once bowed… to his brother. Keyokthai Shammroy."

At a moment, everything —

Silence.

Hewin, resistant,

"But that doesn't mean we allow catastrophe to grow."

Anchor 2 ,firm,

"You still don't understand. Seyokthai is rarely at the academy. What he does outside—no one knows. He doesn't reach to dungeon's, or any something, where do he learn moves, attacks , doesn't known?!"

He pauses.

"But when he moves… entire forces vanish before resistance can form. Multiple powers, layered and controlled—at once."

His gaze sharpens.

"End this discussion. If I'm not wrong… he's already listening all of us."

Syrian ,shocked,

"What!?"

Anchor 2 ,certain,

" Dean says that, He senses, hears , listens across worlds. That's why he's called—"

"The Great Sensor, Seyokthai."
