"Stop this right now. Go back and tell the chairman that I'm the one who ordered you to stand down. I'll take responsibility for any consequences."
Faced with Deville's stubbornness, Org thought for a moment before making his final decision.
He was determined to see this through!
Org's expression was stern.
Since this had happened right under his nose, if he turned a blind eye now, he might as well not be a council member at all!
"Good! Councilman Org, you're a real one!"
Org's decision was met with immediate approval from the crowd.
Many Magic users who had heard about the conflict and come to watch cheered loudly, voicing their support for Org's stance.
"If they refuse to cooperate, we won't take it lying down!"
"Do they think we're made of clay?! That they can push us around however they want?!"
"There are many corrupt people in the Magic Council!"
The surrounding Magic users shouted one after another, their emotions running high.
Org stepping in to stop Deville had clearly ignited the frustration everyone had been bottling up these days.
The Magic Council's aggressive acquisition of magic beast materials from everyone was downright shameless—it was practically robbery in broad daylight.
To be fair, if this issue hadn't erupted now, the pent-up anger would have eventually reached a boiling point, and Deville and his ilk would have faced the consequences anyway.
Did they really think waving the Magic Council's banner gave them free rein to do as they pleased?
"You—! Org, you—!"
Org's firmness clearly caught Deville off guard.
He hadn't expected Org to be so bold as to defy the chairman.
And the jeering Magic users around them, even hurling insults directly at him, made Deville feel utterly humiliated.
How dare these people defy the Magic Council's orders?!
Did they not fear being arrested by the Magic Council?!
"What do you think you're doing?! Do you want to go against the Magic Council?!"
Deville pointed at the surrounding Wizards and shouted, but unfortunately, the crowd only stared back coldly, as if watching a clown.
Their gazes only deepened his humiliation.
"Councilman Deville, here's a suggestion: return everything you've acquired under the Magic Council's name. That way, everyone saves face, and we can pretend this never happened." Marco spoke up with a smile, offering a compromise.
Getting everyone's belongings back would earn him plenty of goodwill, and there was no need to escalate the conflict further.
If things really blew up, it wouldn't end well for anyone—after all, the Magic Council was still the official authority.
"Don't be ridiculous! The Magic Council doesn't yield to threats!"
Unfortunately, Deville wasn't willing to take Marco's olive branch.
He angrily rejected the proposal, refusing to back down an inch.
"Councilman Org, what do you suggest we do now?" Marco looked helplessly at Org.
This Deville was truly a bit over the top—could he really not read the situation?
Given today's circumstances, if Deville didn't back down, things would be hard to resolve.
With Councilman Org stepping forward, everyone's emotions had already been ignited.
Even if Org suddenly softened his stance, the Magic users' stirred-up anger wouldn't be so easily calmed.
"Take him down. I'll handle the aftermath."
Without hesitation, Org made the right decision.
He could see that Deville wouldn't be leaving today unscathed.
By ordering his capture, Org was actually protecting Deville from a brutal beating.
"Org! How dare you!"
Deville continued to shout furiously, his guards stepping forward to shield him as they prepared to escort him away.
The guards were conflicted.
With two councilmen at odds, whose side should they take? Who was actually in the wrong here?
"We'll help!"
Their dilemma didn't last long, as the surrounding Wizards surged forward, leaving them stunned.
"Seize Deville!"
One quick-thinking guard immediately switched sides and moved to apprehend Deville.
With Org and Yajima on one side and Deville alone on the other, the "right" side was obvious!
"What a farce..."
Watching the chaotic scene unfold, Marco couldn't help but find it amusing.
It just went to show how the Magic Council was deteriorating, its credibility crumbling.
Now, with everyone joining in to "arrest" Deville, they had outright torn off the Council's last shred of dignity.
"Ridiculous..." Org hadn't expected the Wizards to swarm in like this.
He clearly hadn't wanted things to escalate this way.
He had intended for his own men to apprehend Deville, but the fool had resisted, giving the surrounding Wizards the perfect opportunity to rush in—leaving Org no chance to stop them.
Soon, Deville was captured, his face bruised and swollen as he was dragged before Org.
"It was us! We from Fairy Tail caught him!" Natsu jumped around excitedly while shouting.
Together with Gray and Gajeel, the three of them had pulled Deville out from the crowd.
The three kids hauled Deville over to Org, Natsu's smugness and constant yelling of Fairy Tail's name making Org visibly displeased.
He hadn't wanted Deville humiliated like this—this was a slap in the face to the entire Magic Council!
'These Fairy Tail troublemakers are always stirring up chaos...' Org grumbled internally.
Of course, Fairy Tail had to take the lead in this mess too—like they were the Council's natural nemesis!
"Ahem, they're just kids. They got a little carried away—don't mind them. They probably didn't expect Councilman Deville to be... less capable."
Seeing Org's dark expression, Marco stepped in to smooth things over, pulling out the classic "they're just children" excuse.
Though, to be fair, Deville's skills were somewhat lacking—maybe councilmen weren't selected for strength in the first place.
"We'll leave this matter in your hands."
Org's face darkened as he had someone take Deville away.
Without waiting for Yajima's consent, he led his men and left immediately—he didn't want to stay there a second longer.
"Ohhh! We won!"
The cheers of the magic users erupted, clearly celebrating this satisfying outcome.
"Councilman Org cares deeply about the Magic Council's dignity. That's one reason he's always targeted Fairy Tail."
Watching Org depart with his men, Yajima shook his head.
That guy had a complicated personality, but among the current Magic Council members, he was definitely one of the more better ones.
