Chapter 18 - Drink First

Connors wasn't planning to find Flash himself.

He didn't have any special ability to find people. Even finding Harley Quinn in Gotham City required the little lunatic to cause some trouble before he could catch wind of it.

And Flash Barry, with his super speed, if he didn't want you to see him, you probably wouldn't see him in a lifetime.

He would reveal the news of "World destruction" to Batman, and have him contact Flash Barry.

As DC's absolute brain, Connors estimated that this guy's information database contained the addresses, contact information, and countermeasures for all superheroes.

Maybe even his own were in there.

"I need to confirm if what you said is true. If it is, I'll give you Silk's information. If it's false, then there's nothing more to say."

Connors turned and left.

He wasn't interested in this beautiful spy for the time being, but Black Widow Natasha wasn't happy. She got up and followed him:

"You don't mind me following you, do you?"

"It's fine."

Connors waved his hand indifferently.

After leaving the Iceberg Lounge, at the corner of the dark street in the early morning, a second before Natasha caught up, he transformed, changing from a strong and imposing tall figure to a homeless man begging on the roadside.

His eyes lingered on the black Silk thighs passing in front of him for a long time, fully embodying the appearance a homeless man should have, before he casually tossed his clothes.

The clothes spontaneously combusted and were reduced to ashes by the time they landed on the ground, scattering into the sewer drain on the ground.

He himself, wearing a burgundy suit, walked in the opposite direction.

As a professional spy, she actually lost track of the person. Natasha further realized how terrifying this man was, but quickly showed a confident smile:

"No matter how many tricks you have, you couldn't detect this hair-like tracker, could you?"

She held a flexible screen in her hand, which showed the red dot of the tracker moving away in the opposite direction from her.

Folding the screen like paper and tucking it into her black stockings, it was impossible to see any trace of it at a glance. She also chased in Connors's direction.

Connors, after walking a distance, suddenly realized with a delayed reaction:

"I was only thinking about finding Wayne to contact Flash Barry and confirm if what Natasha said was true... But I have no idea where Wayne Manor is."

He really didn't know. He had been in Gotham City for less than a month, only focusing on watching the drama, and hadn't bothered to inquire about the residence of this wealthy big shot.

Fortunately, Gotham never lacked places to get information.

Ghost Face Bar, as the place he used to frequent before meeting Harley Quinn, Connors finally returned here after many days.

"Look, who's here."

A sharp-eyed customer was the first to spot Connors, who was dressed no differently than usual.

"Shhh..."

Two guys who had been shouting loudly after drinking a glass of cheap malt liquor quickly lowered their voices.

"...Am I that scary? Didn't I just beat you up because you were drunk and acting crazy before?"

Connors said speechlessly, looking at these guys who were making a fuss.

It was better that he didn't say this. Once he said it, many people immediately recalled the first time they saw Connors:

Holding a wine glass in one hand, and grabbing the provocateur's back of the neck with the other, while also counting the number of letters in the insulting words just spoken. For every letter, he would smash the provocateur's head against the wall that many times.

From then on, everyone knew this was a ruthless character, and some even speculated that he was actually Batman in disguise...

"Don't be nervous, I love it here. Coming back to the bar feels like coming home."

Connors appeased the mood of these drinkers. "I'm here to ask, does anyone know where the richest man in Gotham lives?"

Soon, a few drinkers who had never said any insulting words to him and occasionally chatted, pieced together the address of Wayne Manor clearly.

Keeping it in mind, Connors also went to the bar counter and ordered a beer.

"Patterson, you haven't been here for several days. What, found a new hobby?"

The bartender at the counter teased.

The bartender was also the boss. To open a bar in Gotham, you had to have some strength and background, which made him feel that he could talk to Connors as an equal, unlike the others.

Facing the bartender's teasing, Connors didn't care at all. After drinking the beer in his hand in two gulps, he casually patted the bartender's shoulder:

"Yeah, I have a new hobby. Look, it's this."

The bartender followed Connors's gaze and looked outside, only to see a stunning beauty with long red wavy hair walking towards them.

Just as he was about to make a joke about how a beauty of this caliber could possibly come to his bar filled with rough men, he saw the red-haired beauty walk in, swaying her hips.

Gulp!

Everyone in the bar couldn't help but swallow, and many people's eyes directly and shamelessly scanned her up and down.

"Con... Huh?"

The bartender turned his face and found that Connors had already walked out of the bar at some point, but he didn't continue chasing him to chat. Instead, he looked at the red-haired beauty who had already walked to the bar counter.

"Beautiful lady, you are like a blooming poppy..."

The bartender's words were cut short when he saw the beauty's delicate hand reach out towards his shoulder... and then pinch a thin strand of hair.

Natasha frowned, looking at the hair tracker with some speechlessness. She heard a click and realized that Connors was standing outside the bar door, locking it from the outside.

Just as she was about to grab a chair to smash the door and chase Connors, seven or eight guys with big bellies and reeking of alcohol had already surrounded her.

The bartender quietly reached under the counter and took out his shotgun, which he used to deter these people.

After a while.

Inside the bar, including the bartender, no one was standing. They were all lying or sprawled on the ground, groaning in pain one after another.

Black Widow Natasha sat on a table, lit a cigarette with a snap, then picked up the bartender's shotgun and fired a shot at the bar door.

Glass shattered everywhere. She casually tossed the shotgun, but Connors was no longer outside.

Not only did she not know where Connors was, but even Connors himself didn't know.

—He was embarrassingly lost.

Gotham was so big, with complex and winding roads, how could he find the location of Wayne Manor?

Standing in front of the most luxurious tall building he had seen so far, Connors saw that it wasn't labeled "Wayne Group", but "Andrew Hotel".

"Sigh... I miss Gaode."

Connors sighed, preparing to go inside and ask for directions again.

...

Xue Xi's concert tour was canceled, and even though everyone's ticket money was fully refunded, it still caused dissatisfaction among many fans.

To make up for it, Xue Xi, as a celebrity singer, invited Gotham's most famous aerialist family, the Flying Graysons, to perform the day after tomorrow.

The arrangement was fine, but her hook-nosed agent went crazy for some reason, knocking on Xue Xi's door in a suit and tie with roses late at night.

With her ability to control ice and snow, she naturally wasn't worried about her own safety, but after opening the door, she was faced with the agent's crazy declaration of love, which made Xue Xi feel annoyed.

After the wild night with the man whose name she didn't even know yesterday, she began to instinctively feel repulsed by contact with others, without even realizing it, and instead couldn't stop thinking about the man who had given her a handle.

So, she decided to go to the hotel rooftop to get some fresh air and calm down.

Then, she saw Connors standing in front of the hotel entrance with a helpless expression, and the residual Poison Ivy hormones in her body began to take effect.

At the same time, Connors, who possessed Spider-Sense, also detected the presence of the big star Xue Xi. The Green could feel her agitation.

"I'll drink to that first..."
