It's the week of the Chrysanthemum Sho, and today's Friday—final prep day. But that's not the issue. The problem's my Uma Musume team. They're all hyped up about Komachi coming, especially CB. It's just my sister—why're they so excited? I told Komachi to arrive at Tracen Academy around 5:30 p.m. Training was light, so that time works.
Training's done now. Everyone's changing, and I'm waiting outside the trainer's room.
CB: "Hachiman~ We're done~♪"
Hachiman: "…For real, Rice?"
Rice: "Eek!? Y-Yeah, it's fine!"
If Rice says so, it's good.
Door opens
Hachiman: "Good work, everyone."
CB: "More importantly, why didn't you come in when I called?"
Hachiman: "You tease sometimes. Gotta avoid any situations."
CB: "As if I'd show you my underwear! Everyone's here!!"
Hachiman: "…So you do have some ethics."
CB: "Hey, Hachiman, what's your image of me, huh?"
Hachiman: "We'll talk later. Tomorrow's travel day. Not too early, so relax. I've given the schedule, so stick to it."
Fuji: "Got it, Hachiman-san." smile
Air Groove: "No worries. None of us would mess up the time."
Hachiman: "Hope so. Alright, good work. Get home before dark."
Time to pick up Komachi… Wait?
Hachiman: "Oi, why's no one leaving?"
Ardan: "You're meeting your sister, right, Anii-sama? We should greet her."
Hachiman: "Tomorrow's fine, no?"
Rice: "N-No way, Onii-sama! Greetings are better sooner!"
Hachiman: "Is that so?"
Maurice: "Yes! Please let us meet her!"
Hachiman: "…Whatever."
Tracen Academy: Front Gate
Hachiman: "There she is. Yo, Komachi~!"
Komachi: "Onii-chan! Long time no see~♪"
Rice: "That's Onii-sama's…"
Komachi: "Nice to meet you, Tracen Academy folks! My brother's always in your care. I'm Komachi, his sister."
Air Groove: "We're the ones in his care. I'm Air Groove, team leader and Hachi—Trainer's first Uma Musume."
CB: "Yo~ Mr. CB here. Nice to meet ya, Miss Komachi♪"
Fuji: "Hi, Komachi-san. I'm Fuji Kiseki, happy to meet you."
Bakushin-O: "Greetings!! I'm Sakura Bakushin-O, class rep!!"
Arrow: "…Hey, Wing Arrow."
Maurice: "I'm Maurice!"
Ardan: "A pleasure, Komachi-sama. I'm Mejiro Ardan. I'm thrilled to meet Anii-sama's sister."
Rice: "Um… Rice Shower, desh!"
Komachi: "Wow, so polite~ Geez, Onii-chan, you're handling all these Uma Musume? Komachi's proud!"
Hachiman: "Who do you think you are… What about your job? Took leave?"
Komachi: "Yup. Your Uma Musume's aiming for the Triple Crown, so I gotta cheer! Plus, I wanted a trip~♪"
Hachiman: "Fine. Stay at my place. No races tomorrow, so we'll take it easy. You guys, back to the dorms. See you tomorrow."
Arrow: "Yeah, tomorrow."
Bakushin-O: "Yes, see you tomorrow!!"
Maurice: "See you tomorrow!"
…Ugh, I can already tell where this is going. Rice, you're joining them? Onii-sama won't forgive this.
Hachiman: "So? What's up with you guys?"
CB: "Wanna stay at your place♪"
Fuji: "Overnight permits are filed♪"
Air Groove: "Correct. No issues."
Rice: "Um… Hearing Air Groove-san and them, I kinda wanted to try staying over… S-Sorry."
Ardan: "I want to hear more about Komachi-sama. And I've always wanted to stay at Anii-sama's place."
Oi, oi, oi. Two high-class ladies, a lone Uma Musume, and two dorm-dwellers? No way… At least consult me?
CB: "You'd totally say no if we asked, right?"
Hachiman: "Stop reading my mind. Rice, you too…?"
Rice: "S-Sorry… But I really wanted to try staying at Onii-sama's place."
Fine, fine, Hachiman-san, calm down. I stocked your place with enough food for everyone, plus extra. Should be good.
Ugh, I'll let them stay, but a heads-up would've been nice.
Fourth Wall Break
Hachiman: "Why's my place stocked with food…? Author, was that you?"
RawMeat: "Doesn't hurt to have it, right?"
Hachiman: "…Thanks."
RawMeat: "No biggie, all for Rice!!"
Hachiman: "You really love Rice, huh?"
RawMeat: "She's the best!! Listen, in today's Cancer Cup finals, Rice took first!! Rice rules, Rice forever!!"
Hachiman: "Your Rice obsession aside, congrats on the Cancer Cup win. Well done."
RawMeat: "Rice~!! Thanks for gifting me the win!!!"
Afterword
Komachi arrives in this Yahari x Uma Musume chapter! Team Polaris eagerly greets Hachiman's sister, then crashes his place for a sleepover. Rice's Cancer Cup win steals the author's heart!
