Um, nice to meet you… maybe? I'm Rice Shower! So, uh… it's November now, and I told Onii-sama I'm not racing anymore this year. He said the members without upcoming races get a short break to relax. So, Fuji-san, Bakushin O-san, Arrow-san, Altan-san, and I are supposed to pause training and refresh… But training with Onii-sama is so fun, and I can feel myself improving, so I kinda want to keep going. Is that not okay?
Rice, you need a break too, you know?
Air Groove-san, CB-san, and Maurice-chan have races in November, so they're continuing training. Onii-sama said, "You've been training non-stop. You need rest, or it'll affect your motivation." I love training, so I'm fine, but Onii-sama thinks about these things…
What should I do…?
Fuji: "Oh? Rice, what's up, hanging out here?"
Rice: "Ah, Fuji-san! Nothing really, but without training, I'm kinda bored… Would I get in trouble if I went to train?"
Fuji: "Hmm… I don't think you'd get scolded, but since Yahagi-san planned this break for us, he might not be thrilled."
Rice: "Y-Yeah, you're right…"
So, what now…? Going back to the dorm feels like it'd be boring.
Fuji: "Hey! How about making something for Yahagi-san to show our gratitude?"
Rice: "Making… like food?"
Fuji: "Yeah, that works! Or maybe something else, like accessories."
Rice: "Can I even make something like that?"
Fuji: "It's not impossible! Resin accessories are trending. You'd need resin liquid, molds, and a UV light. Tweezers and small materials help for details. Complex ones take time, but simple ones can be done in about five minutes."
Rice: "Wow!"
That sounds kinda fun… Should I try it?
Fuji: "Hehe, looks like you're interested!"
Rice: "Y-Yeah! I think I'll give it a shot."
Fuji: "Resin and molds are easy to get, but a UV light might need to be ordered online. If you're serious, why not try making a blue rose with resin?"
Rice: "Can I really make that?"
Fuji: "Yup, you can. Look."
Fuji-san showed me her phone. Red roses, blue roses, purple roses—so many colors, all handmade! Amazing!
Rice: "Alright, I'm gonna try hard to make one!"
Fuji: "That's the spirit! I'm glad you found something fun to do. Good luck, Rice."
Rice: "Yup♪"
A rose might be too hard to start with, so I'll try something simple first. Oh, wait—where do I even get the resin and molds Fuji-san mentioned?
At the Store
Rice: "Whoa… So many colors! And so many molds—which one should I pick?"
There are tons of colored pencils, so maybe there are even more colors for this resin stuff?
Rice: "For now, I'll just buy what I need. Gotta wait for the UV light to arrive."
I'm kinda excited♪

Fuji: "Geez, giving up my own idea to someone else… So, what should I do now?"
Yahagi: "Yo, Fuji."
Fuji: "H-Hachiman-san!?"
Yahagi: "What's with the surprise? Lost in thought?"
Fuji: "Y-Yeah! With no training, I was wondering what to do."
Yahagi: "Guess you're so used to training that you're drawing a blank. My bad. Since you and Rice are getting a longer break, it might be good to pick up some hobbies."
Fuji: "Then maybe I'll pull a prank on you?"
Yahagi: "Oh? I'll prank you back, then."
Fuji: "Heh, can you even do magic, Hachiman-san?"
Yahagi: "Magic's not my thing, but I can manage a prank."
Fuji: "I'll be waiting, then."
Hehe, a little promise♪
Yahagi: "By the way, Fuji, can I ask you something?"
Fuji: "Hm? What's up?"
Yahagi: "I'm making some snacks and need a taste-tester. Strawberry and chocolate roll cake. Can you help?"
Fuji: "…Hachiman-san, you know I don't like sweets, right?"
Yahagi: "Oh? Do I?"
Fuji: "Don't play dumb! You know! If you're gonna dodge, I'll tell McQueen!"
Yahagi: "Oh nooo, guess this coffee and Uji matcha roll cake will have to wait…"
Fuji: "What!?"
Yahagi: "Made it for you since you've been working hard at the dorm, but if you're snitching to McQueen, I'll hold off. Such a shame."
Fuji: "H-Hachiman-san… I-I won't tell! It was a joke! Just a joke!"
Yahagi: "…So? Surprised by my prank?"
Fuji: "Fine, you got me. I didn't see that coming… So, are you giving me that cake?"
Yahagi: "Yup, it's yours, don't worry."
Phew… Good thing. Hachiman-san's cooking, even his sweets, is amazing♪
Yahagi: "But I'm giving you the uncut one, so you can eat tons."
Fuji: "There's an uncut one!?"
Yahagi: "Yeah, this one's for you. The cut pieces are my snack."
…Hachiman-san's been surprising me all day.
