Chapter 330 - Chapter 329 An Eternal "Miracle" (Kiseki)

"Fuji-senpaaaaai!!"

"Ahaha... Please don't cry so much, everyone," I soothed them with a smile. "It can't be helped, you know."

"But... B-But...!!"

"When I think about saying goodbye to you, Fuji-senpai... the tears... they just won't stop!!"

"Good grief, what troublesome little ponies you are..." I shook my head, though my voice was soft. "If you're in this state now, what on earth is going to happen when it's your turn to graduate?"

As you have probably gathered, I am graduating from Tracen Academy this year.

I did consider running in the Dream Trophy series after finishing the Twinkle Series. However, rather than pursuing my own limits as a runner, I realized I wanted to move to the supporting side. That is why I decided to graduate.

"But please come back to visit sometimes!!"

"And please stay overnight when you do!!"

"And finally, please give me a chin-lift and a wall-slam one last time!!"

"Well, maybe I'll pop by occasionally," I teased. "Oops, look at the time."

Location: Ritto Dorm - Entrance

"So, this is goodbye to the dorm, too..."

I lived here for a long time. Now that the moment to leave has actually arrived, a wave of loneliness is welling up inside me.

Well then...

"Ritto Dorm, thank you for everything!!" I called out to the building. "You took great care of me!"

"Good work, Fuji-senpai!!"

"Take care!!"

"Thank you for everything!!"

"We'll miss you!!"

"Thank you, everyone!!"

I bid farewell to the dorm that had been my home for so long and left the grounds.

Location: Tracen Academy - Club Room

"Before I leave the academy, I need to say goodbye to this place, too. There are so many places to visit... but that just shows how much support I've received. Besides, this is the precious place where I spent my time with Yawata-san. I have to say it properly."

I've already greeted the team members, so now I just need to make my rounds of the campus.

"Ah, Fuji Kiseki. Making your rounds?"

"President Rudolf..." I nodded. "Something like that. Today is the farewell, after all. It's going to be lonely."

"I feel the same," Rudolf replied, her expression gentle. "I have been supported by you in many ways. You helped immensely with the dorm and various events... I recall it all as if it were yesterday."

"I was glad to work alongside you, President. I had a truly enjoyable time."

"Well then, I still have duties to attend to, so I must excuse myself," Rudolf said, straightening her posture. "Fuji Kiseki. I will be praying from the shadows that a bright future awaits you."

"Thank you very much."

Location: Tracen Academy - School Gates

"...Phew."

I won't be commuting here anymore. It really is lonely when the 'ordinary' ceases to be ordinary.

I turned toward the academy and bowed deeply, just as I always have. The days I spent in this school will surely become a treasure for a lifetime. That is the one thing I can say with absolute certainty.

"Finished with your greetings?"

"Mm," I turned to face him. "Just now."

"...Do you feel lonely?"

"Of course I do. What about you, Yawata-san?"

"I feel a sense of loneliness knowing I won't be able to meet you in this form anymore," he admitted, looking at the school. "I know it can't be helped, but... things rarely go the way we want them to."

"It's inevitable. The time to say goodbye always comes eventually."

"True. We can't stay here forever."

Hearing that Yawata-san felt lonely too... it made me happy. I'm sad that I won't be with him here anymore. If possible, I would have liked to stay longer, but I have to determine my own path.

"Right. Shall we go?" he asked.

"Yes..." I extended my hand. "Will you escort me, Monsieur?"

"Don't get your hopes up too high, Mademoiselle," he grumbled, though he took my hand.

Location: A Certain House

"We're here."

"Mm. Finally."

Our destination was a detached house. Why are we here? The reason is...

"It's finally happening..." Yawata murmured.

"Yes. My... no, our new life begins in this house."

"Yeah... I guess it does."

That's right. The house before us is a newly built home where Yawata-san and I will live.

When he spoke so suggestively back at the gate about not meeting "in this form," he simply meant we wouldn't be meeting as student and trainer at the academy. Now that I've graduated, I'll be commuting to university from this house to study becoming a trainer.

"Phew..." Yawata exhaled, turning to me. "Fuji, before we start living here, there is one thing I want to say. I love you. Those feelings haven't changed since the Arima Kinen. If your feelings haven't changed either, I want to fulfill the promise we made back then. What do you say?"

"Of course..." I smiled, stepping closer. "My feelings haven't changed either. I love you, Yawata-san. I've been waiting for this day with all my heart. I wanted to become your lover as soon as possible."

"Are you sure? I'm just an old guy over thirty, you know."

"It's because it's you, Yawata-san. I fell in love with you, so you're the only one I see."

"...Fuji. From now on, I'm counting on you. Not as trainer and student, but as lovers."

"Mm..." I beamed at him. "I'm counting on you too!"

If I'm with Yawata-san, let us go forth and witness a "Miracle"—a Kiseki—that belongs only to us.
