After going another two rounds with Misaki, this time even filling up her ass with his cum, Kanzou finally made his way downstairs to speak with Chiaki.

As soon as he arrived, the older lady gave him an annoyed look, knowing full well what he and her daughter had been doing while keeping her waiting. "Where's Misaki?"

"Resting…" he answered briefly before walking over and taking a seat on the sofa. Kakuzu was also present. In truth, he was the one who wanted to speak with Kanzou. Hence, the person who had actually been made to wait was Kakuzu, not Chiaki.

But first, before addressing Kakuzu, Kanzou requested the older woman, "Chiaki-san, could you prepare some refreshment for me?" He needed it after those intense rounds with Misaki.

Chiaki snorted. "Would poison be good?"

In her own house, he had first banged her daughter, and now he had the gall to ask her to prepare refreshments for him? And that was on top of the fact that he had no intention of taking responsibility and marrying her daughter. At most, Misaki would remain a mistress or something. Even if she knew that this was not unreasonable, considering Kanzou's identity as the Uchiha Patriarch and her daughter's deep affection for him, as a mother, she found it truly annoying.

And let's not forget the trouble named Fugaku that had appeared here because of him. Chiaki genuinely felt that feeding him poison would be justified.

Kanzou blinked, then smiled. "Please?"

Chiaki sighed. "…Aghh… Fine. I blame that stupid woman for not guiding you properly."

She was, of course, talking about Kanzou's Jōnin sensei. But it was too late to talk about that.

Shaking her head, she took a puff from her pipe and stood up, heading toward the kitchen area to prepare refreshments. In reality, she also sensed that Kanzou wanted her away for a while so he could speak privately with Kakuzu… and she decided to play along.

"Now then… Kakuzu Ojii-san… I see that you have something that you wanted to talk about," Kanzou said, turning his attention to the man with the eerie green eyes.

Those green pupils set against red sclera were indeed very creepy, especially with the way they gleamed… but anyway—

"It's the payment…" Kakuzu said directly.

What else could he want to talk about with Kanzou? Naturally, it was the payment for completing the mission for which he had been hired by Kanzou.

"Oh… was it just that?" Kanzou murmured, sounding a little disappointed. He took out a scroll from his pocket and tossed it to the older man. "Here you go."

Kakuzu's eyes lit up as he caught the scroll. He carefully examined it to ensure it wasn't booby-trapped, and only then unsealed it. The moment he released the storage seal, several thick stacks of bills appeared on the table.

"Haha… this is good," Kakuzu laughed immediately, both satisfied and visibly relieved as he received the payment.

Indeed, relieved too. The reason was simple: he hadn't been entirely certain whether Kanzou would actually pay him or not.

If Kanzou had chosen to default on the payment, Kakuzu knew there was nothing he could do about it. He had even been a little afraid that Kanzou might just kill him now that the mission was complete. He had no power to fight back against someone like Kanzou.

In the mercenary line of work, clients defaulting on payments was common. Normally, a ninja of his caliber could handle such issues, but against someone like Kanzou, especially since he hadn't gone through the black market to hire him, he would have been completely helpless.

Fortunately, Kanzou didn't seem to have that intention, which relieved him somewhat.

Of course, Kakuzu still didn't drop his guard and remained vigilant. Danger hadn't fully passed yet. The money could simply be a distraction…

Noting Kakuzu's tense state and guessing the reason, Kanzou spoke. "Relax, old man. I am not going to kill you…"

When Kanzou said that, Kakuzu shifted a little uncomfortably, not knowing what to say.

But Kanzou wasn't finished. "Besides, do I look like the kind of guy greedy for money and holding back on small payments like these?" he asked, pouting.

He wasn't the type to be greedy for money at all! The only thing he was truly greedy for was pleasure.

Indeed, for a hedonist like him, pleasure and the pursuit of pleasure were the only major pursuits of his life.

All the time, he was either having pleasure or he was on the way to having pleasure.

Of course, the pleasures that he sought are the pleasures of the flesh and the pleasures of the mind. Hoarding money simply wasn't part of the pleasure for him.

"Ahem, well… I had to be careful, just in case," Kakuzu said, shrugging. "It's just a part of being in this line of work…"

"Haa, fair enough, I suppose," Kanzou waved his hand casually as Kakuzu happily went on to count the bills, just to be sure.

While Kakuzu's thumbs moved from bill to bill and stack to stack, Kanzou questioned him, "So, Kakuzu-Ojii-san, what are your plans from here on out?"

"No specific plan… I'll just continue to hunt bounties…" he replied, his eyes never leaving the money.

"Since that's the case, how about continuing to work for me? I'll, of course, continue to pay you," Kanzou proposed.

Having been paid once already and not really having the power to refuse Kanzou, Kakuzu raised his head and asked cautiously, "What's the next task?"

"Elimination of some Konoha's ninja squads. I'll give you the names and the locations they will likely appear at. All you have to do is eliminate them," explained Kanzou.

While Natsuhi was carrying out these tasks for him, she was just one person, after all. It takes time for her to complete the assassination. So far, she has only managed to assassinate one target and is on her way of assassinating the second target.

Kanzou decided to put Kakuzu to work on this as well.

"Konoha ninjas?" Kakuzu's eyes widened slightly.

Kanzou issuing assassination orders on ninjas of his own village wasn't betraying the village?

Why would he do that?

It didn't take long for the experienced mercenary to come up with the reason. 'Eliminating the ninjas of his own village… I guess this is related to some internal conflict in Konoha.'

This was the only logical explanation. But what did it matter to him? In his long years as a mercenary, he had accepted many such commissions. People betraying each other — even their families, clans, villages, and nations — for the sake of money, women, power, or something else was nothing new to him.

He didn't care who Kanzou was targeting or what his reasons were. As long as he got paid, he was willing to do the task.

Or more like, he couldn't really refuse Kanzou in the first place, so he didn't. He asked directly, "Who is the target and where do I find them?"

"Fufu, glad we are on business," Kanzou smiled as he took out another scroll and tossed it to Kakuzu. "Here you go. The first target is a Jōnin leading a three-man Genin squad. Kill them all."

"Sarutobi Ejiro…?" Kakuzu murmured, looking at the target's profile. 'If I remember correctly, Konoha's Hokage is also from the Sarutobi Clan… is this guy targeting the Hokage's Clan?'

Kakuzu had to say that targeting the Hokage's Clansmen in this manner... it's really vicious. But once again? What does that matter to Kanzou?

"It'll be done," said Kakuzu, rolling back the scroll.

"Great," nodded Kanzou and took out a third scroll, which he once again tossed to Kakuzu.

"What is this?" the older ninja questioned, unfolding and unsealing the scroll. Several stacks of bills appeared, which immediately lit up his eyes. But it wasn't just the money — there were also broken wires, damaged kunai, shuriken, senbon, tantō, and many other tools. Confused, he asked, "What is all this for?"

"After completing the assassination… make sure to leave one or two of these on the site…" Kanzou explained.

"Oh… I see, for shifting the blame away from you?" Kakuzu murmured, understanding. This was not uncommon.

"Shifting the blame? Nah… dude, these tools are uniquely used by my Uchiha Clan. Leave these behind," said Kanzou with a grin.

Kakuzu's expression changed. "Then… wouldn't the blame come to the Uchiha Clan?" What kind of foolishness was this? Ordering assassinations and then deliberately leaving behind clues that would link the Uchihas to the very crimes? Isn't that stupid? Did Uchiha Kanzou want the Hokage to know who was responsible for the assassinations?

"Fufu… they'll serve as perfect Red Herrings that aren't actually Red Herrings…" Kanzou explained, chuckling.

Clues would point at the Uchiha Clan, but since no Uchiha would have left the village during that period, there'd be no one to directly point fingers at. The matter would instead be interpreted as someone deliberately trying to frame the Uchiha Clan for the murder of those Sarutobi ninjas.

Of course, between him and Hiruzen, the interpretation would be different. It would be a direct provocation to the Hokage. Kanzou wanted to make sure that Sarutobi Hiruzen knew that this was a direct response to him daring to send assassins after the Uchihas.

Kakuzu didn't know what Kanzou was smoking, but whatever, it wasn't his business. He just nodded and said, "Just don't regret it later."

"You don't have to be concerned…" Kanzou shrugged.

Having said that, the two finalized a few other details about the mission.

By then, Chiaki returned with refreshments. "Here, boy," she said, handing Kanzou a glass and another to Kakuzu as well. "For you, darling~" she added flirtatiously.

Kanzou raised an eyebrow and chuckled. "It seems Chiaki-san has found herself a man…"

"We look good, don't we?" she asked excitedly.

Kanzou noted the annoyed and disgusted expression on Kakuzu's face and nodded with an amused smile. "Yes… I approve."

"You…!!" Kakuzu felt even more exasperated with Kanzou joining in their game.

"Look, darling… now even Kanzou has approved… isn't it about time we already go to my bedroom…?" Chiaki asked suggestively.

"Humph!" Kakuzu snorted, getting up and leaving without another word.

"Muu… you don't have to be so shy, I am willing to wait..." she called after him, waving her hand. "Good luck… and be sure to return, darling~"

'I am never returning to this dump!' Kakuzu made a mental note as he left.

"Fufu…" Kanzou chuckled while watching Kakuzu's hasty departure. He finished his drink and stood up. "I'll also leave. I have to return to the village…"

"Oh… be safe on the way," Chiaki said, picking up the empty glasses.

She decided to go check on her daughter and see exactly how exhausted she was.

...

By the time Kanzou returned to the village, the moon was already hanging high in the sky.

Since it was already night, he went home directly.

"You returned home late today…?" Mikoto gently asked, taking his Jōnin vest from him.

"Hm? Yeah… I was at Sora-ku, took a lot of time there…" Kanzou explained while removing his sandals.

"At Sora-ku…?" She immediately frowned. She thought of who lived there and had a strong suspicion of why he might have gone to that place. 'Could it be...?' She held the vest close and smelled it. Sure enough, the scent of a woman mixed with the faint odor of sex lingered on it.

"Y-you were with…?" she asked, her breath catching in her throat.

"Yeah… I was with Misaki…" he nodded once again, without hiding anything.

'Why don't you just tell a lie to me for once and make me believe that I am overthinking it… that nothing like that happened?' she complained in her heart. If he lied to her, she'd be able to convince herself that she was indeed just overthinking it… But he admitted his involvement with other women so plainly to her that she didn't know how to react for a moment and could only stand there, not knowing what to say.

Realizing that he had banged Misaki at Sora-ku, Mikoto's heart clenched tightly, and her body trembled.

Not long ago, he had slept with another woman at a hot spring inn, and now he had banged Misaki… Kanzou… he really was behaving exactly as he had told her he would. It made Mikoto feel deeply humiliated. What wasn't she willing to do for him with her body? Was she really that unsatisfactory to him that he still had to…

While she was processing and trying to cope with this information, Kanzou suddenly pushed her back, pressing her against the wall and pinning her there.

"Kanzou-sama?" she asked, raising her head to look at him with somewhat tearful eyes.

"Fufu… are you crying?" he asked playfully.

"It… It's just…" she panicked and hurriedly wiped her eyes.

He didn't stop her. Instead, as she did that, he dropped another bomb. "By the way… Fugaku had also appeared at Sora-ku…"

"Fu… ga… ku?" Her thoughts were immediately shattered. Her hand paused mid-motion, and she raised her head in shock.

"Yeah…" he nodded and calmly explained to her what Fugaku had come to Sora-ku for and everything that had happened there.

Hearing that, Mikoto's mood became complicated.

Noting her complicated expression, Kanzou, caressing her cheek, asked, "Do you feel sorry for him?"

"What?" she exclaimed and immediately shook her head. "No… I... I don't!" She was afraid that Kanzou would misunderstand. "He and I… we have nothing to do with each other. I don't feel sorry for him at all!"

If she is being honest, she is even a little secretly happy that he was suffering. So, feeling sorry for him? Definitely not.

Yet the reason for her complicated mood was still related to Fugaku... or more specifically, his intentions.

That man tried to marry Fumaaa Misaki, and while he wanted to do so to earn the support of the Fūma Clan in order to have a chance at fighting Kanzou, and becoming the Patriarch of the Uchiha Clan, which would be disadvantageous to Kanzou and Mikoto herself... Even knowing this, she, for a brief moment, had secretly wished Fugaku had succeeded in his quest. That way, wouldn't there have been one less woman for her to worry about?

But she only dared to have such a thought in her mind. She didn't dare to speak it to Kanzou. In the first place, it was foolish of her to think so.

"Is that so? Well, whatever…" Kanzou shrugged, not caring in the slightest, and changed the topic. "I am starving… what's for dinner…?" he asked, making his way to the dining area.

"..." Mikoto watched his back with a saddened and helpless expression.

"Aren't you coming?" he asked, turning his head.

"…Ah, yes," she nodded after a brief silence. Burying whatever she was feeling deep in her heart, she followed him.

...

During dinner, Kanzou once again didn't shy away from praising her cooking. "It's really good…"

He wasn't a food connoisseur so he couldn't be the best judge, but the taste and flavors she brought to her cooking were still better than anything he could ever make. Praise had to be given where it was due.

"..." Mikoto smiled politely. That was all she could do.

Kanzou noted her reluctance and, after a bit of silence, questioned her, "...By the way… have you made up your mind yet?"

As for what she had to make up her mind about? Of course, it was about the method of awakening the Mangekyō Sharingan, and the sacrifice that it might involve. If she wanted to marry him, she would have to awaken that dōjutsu. Only then would she become worthy of being his wife…

It had been a few days since he had given her the choice, and it was about time he asked her again.

Faced with that question, Mikoto lowered her head in silence. "..."

The silence was enough of an answer for him. "Is that so?" he murmured.

"Kanzou-sama… I…" Mikoto trembled, her voice quivering as she struggled to find the right words.

She had thought about it a lot, but she really couldn't do it.

After all, he was her Sofu-sama who had raised her from the time she was just a little girl.

How could… how could she bring herself to kill her own Sofu-sama? She couldn't!

It's just that now she didn't know how he would react… and she felt afraid.

"A pity…" Kanzou just shrugged and shook his head. That was all he said before resuming eating.

Mikoto was stunned and surprised that Kanzou didn't say or do anything else upon hearing her answer. 'Is Kanzou-sama… not going to force me or threaten me?' she thought.

She had expected him to get angry, for her to do it or threaten her, but he didn't get angry at all, which left her taken aback and unable to react for a moment.

But his lack of usual reaction didn't calm her down; rather, it put her on edge, feeling that something was wrong.

The rest of the dinner passed in heavy silence, which made Mikoto feel increasingly anxious.

Trying to initiate small talk to ease the air, she tried to ask a few things, about rumors and other matters, but he only gave her flat, short answers. This complete lack of enthusiasm in conversation made her realize that even though he didn't get 'angry' at her, he was still unhappy with her decision.

'I… I'll try to make it up in the bedroom later,' she thought to herself, deciding that she would do her absolute best to serve him tonight. That would definitely help, right?

It's just that after dinner, when it came time for bath and later sex, Kanzou didn't head to the bedroom. Instead, he began to leave the house. "I will be out tonight, so you can go to sleep without me…" he said indifferently.

Mikoto was stunned. "Going out at this hour? W-what reason?" she asked, feeling anxious and panicked by his cold tone.

Kanzou shrugged. "Anything would be better than having to bear with a useless and worthless woman who can't even make a sacrifice for me."

She realized that he was really too unhappy with her. Panicked, she tried to explain, "K-Kanzou-sama… p-please don't… s-say that… I… I—"

But he didn't wait for her to finish and simply shut the door in her face, leaving the mansion.

"Kanzou-sama…" she murmured, staring at the closed door. Feeling utterly lost, she collapsed to her knees as tears welled up in her eyes.

...

Somewhere else in Konoha—

In a dimly lit room of a certain house, a young woman in dark purple nightwear lingerie, with a unique red tattoo on her shoulder, was sitting before her dressing table, combing her long, smooth, silky silver hair…

While doing so, she remained outwardly silent, but internally her mind was filled with complaints. 'Aaah… so annoying… that pathetic monkey-looking manchild. How long do I have to keep pretending to be in love with him?'

Just the thought of constantly having to bear with that man's advances made her feel disgusted and annoyed.

'Both father and son are the same… creeps… what was I even—' As she kept complaining in her heart, she suddenly noticed a reflection in the mirror in front of her.

"Who?" She was taken aback by the reflection and freaked out a little. Putting aside her current state of wearing only lingerie, she hadn't sensed anyone entering her room at all!

When and how had the person appeared behind her… she hadn't noticed at all!

Before the woman could scream or attack the intruder reflected in the mirror, her mouth was covered from behind. The person standing behind her leaned closer, smelling her post-bath scent, before whispering into her ear, "That's a nice scent…"

'This voice?' The woman was taken aback and found it very familiar. 'Master?' she thought, her silver eyes relaxing a little.

"It seems you have realized…" the man said, removing his hand from her mouth. Immediately, the woman turned around and looked at his face, and her eyes lit up. "Kanzou-sama… It's really you…" she sighed, "You scared me to death earlier, you know."

"Fufu… did I?" Kanzou chuckled.

"Really! I thought something bad was going to happen to me…" she complained.

In that moment, she had felt the possibility of both death and assault upon her, and that really scared her. Heaving a sigh, she shook her head and asked, "How come you are here… wait… You are here!?" She suddenly panicked and immediately got up to close the window and draw the curtains, afraid that someone might notice him inside her room.

Although that shouldn't happen… since they were inside her bedroom. Still, who knows what that creepy loser who was obsessed with her might do? She wouldn't find it strange at all if he were stalking her house at night, as watching the lights of her bedroom go out from a distance is something romantic!

Really, that sort of thing is something creepy, stalkers, or maybe.

Of course, 108-year-old handsome vampires are an exception...

If you are a 108-year-old handsome vampire, then even if you are stalking a teenage girl while she sleeps, literally being present in her bedroom without her knowledge, then that could be considered romantic by teenage girls.

But that's just the minds of some teenage girls; it's not something most would agree with.

After curtaining the windows, she turned to him and asked, "Master, how come you are here all of a sudden…?"

Kanzou traced the back of his fingers along her cheek before asking her, "Why do you think?"

Feeling his touch, the woman blushed and asked with expectant eyes, "Am I getting lucky tonight…?"

Rather than giving her a verbal answer, Kanzou suddenly slung her over his shoulder as she exclaimed, "Kyaaa… Master~"

He slapped her ass before throwing her onto the bed as she exclaimed again, "Ahhh…"

Without allowing her to gather herself, he lunged forward, climbing on top of her, pinning her underneath him while taking out a pair of handcuffs from his pocket and locking her hands to the bedframe.

"Ahh… Master… this is…" The woman blushed more and found herself unable to move her hands.

"Fufu… you are under arrest…" Kanzou chuckled.

"W-what for?" she asked, blinking in shame.

"For wearing indecent clothes and not showing them to me…" he said, sliding his hands inside her lingerie and grasping her breasts.

"Ahhh… t-that's unfair… i-isn't it you who forbid me from contacting you without your permission?" she complained, her body writhing under his touch.

"Talking back to your Master? Is that what I have taught you?" Kanzou asked, looking dangerously at her. "Don't you know that there would be punishment?"

"Hnn… ahhn… w-what punishment?" she asked, expectation and heat in her eyes.

"Fufu… as for the punishment…" he laughed before forcefully tearing her sexy lingerie. A distinct chirp sound echoed in the bedroom and left her entire body exposed.

Naked and locked under his gaze, the woman felt ashamed and complained, "Ahhnn… Master… You are doing bad things to me… You are misusing your power to harm an innocent young woman~"

Even though she complained, her voice was slutty and moaning… not filled with anger or hatred.

"Fufu… after all, power corrupts men… It's only natural for a hedonist like me to get corrupted and misuse my power to harm innocent young women like you, isn't it…?" Kanzou asked back before leaning down and locking his lips with hers.

As their lips met, the woman's eyes widened… but she didn't push away or try to resist. Rather, she willingly parted her lips and allowed him to violate her mouth while continuing to complain, "Bad police… ahnnn… o-officer is… chu… chu… doing bad things to me… ahhhn… at this… slrrppp… rate my dignity would be violatedddd~"

Her actions were completely opposite to her words. While continuing to complain, she slid out her eager tongue and began to passionately reciprocate the kiss him as wet sounds echoed in the bedroom that soon devolved into sweet moans and wails…

"Ahhnn… Kanzou-sama… so big… hhann… haaann… nggh… you are making me cum so hard… aahnnn…"

"Fufu…" Kanzou chuckled and moved his waist.

Plap! Plap! Plap!

...

At the ANBU base—

"Hokage-sama… there's bad news…" The eagle-masked ANBU ninja appeared before Hiruzen, kneeling.

"Another bad news? What is it this time?" Hiruzen asked with a frown. He wondered if the bad news was related to Uchiha Kanzou again. These days, all the bad news seemed to revolve around him.

"This… well… we just received a message that Sarutobi Ejiro-sama and the Genin squad he was leading had encountered unexpected trouble on the mission. As a result, all four of them died…"

"What? Ejiro and his Genin squad... dead?" Hiruzen was stunned… and felt a deep sadness.

Ejiro was a Jōnin of his clan and a loyal shinobi. His death was going to be a big loss for the Sarutobi Clan and Konoha. It made Hiruzen sigh heavily…

But after sighing, Hiruzen asked, "Wasn't he just leading a Genin squad? How come he encountered unexpected trouble?"

Although the death of ninjas because of encountering unexpected trouble on missions wasn't all that rare, he still knew Ejiro well… not to mention the man was not on a high-ranking mission. It was just a mission for the Genins.

What kind of trouble could come up in such a scenario?

"This… we aren't certain yet…" the ANBU shook his head.

"Investigate it… the death of a Jōnin isn't a simple matter…" Hiruzen ordered with a hardened expression.

"Understood…" The ANBU nodded and left the office.

Left alone in the office, Hiruzen sighed, "One trouble after another… it really never ends…"
