"Enough," the security guard voiced out firmly, inducing a suffocating moment of silence.
Liara and I matched our glare as if it were a glaring battle.
And the moment the security guard stepped out, and the door clicked shut behind him, that silence shattered like thin glass.
Liara scoffed loudly. "Look at them. Ashwood's golden pets are thinking they're too good to sit at a detention table. Welcome to our world."
This wasn't the cultured sweet Liara, not too long ago, acting like she was born a rogue and owned the world of social misfits.
Felicia folded her arms with a slow, mocking smirk. "Maybe they thought they would get special treatment. Again."
I felt Allison stiffen beside me. Becca inhaled sharply like she was about to say something reckless.
I grabbed her wrist under the table. "Don't, not yet. They are trying to make you overreact," I whispered to her.
