Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Soulrest Pokémon Daycare

Shiro walked slowly through the still unfinished corridors of the Daycare, with Shinx trotting excitedly beside him, the small feline looking at everything curiously.

As he looked at the half-painted walls, the smell of freshly cut wood and tools left lying around, he couldn't help but think about how much there was still to do.

It was a huge project, much more than just caring for a few Pokémon. He needed to finish the construction, acquire a good variety of species for breeding and sale, organize the interior space, handle permits, and even think about advertising. And worst of all, the Daycare didn't even have a name yet. Before officially opening, there was a sea of pending issues ahead.

As his thoughts wandered, Shiro remembered something.

"Oh…"

He muttered, opening the System's mental inventory.

There it was, still untouched, the Low Level Potential Potion. He had won it in the first achievement, but hadn't used it.

Shinx, with his yellow potential, had little chance of rising to green with that potion. Still… a low chance didn't mean impossible.

"Let's try."

Shiro said, picking up the small, translucent bottle filled with a liquid that seemed to shimmer.

Shinx drank the contents without hesitation. Moments later, his body was enveloped in a golden electric aura, his fur standing on end as he let out a soft, joyful cry:

"Shii-nx!"

Shiro felt his heart race and immediately opened the status screen. There it was:

[Potential: Green.]

It was official. Shinx's evolution would be much faster and more efficient from now on.

Satisfied, Shiro took a deep breath.

"At least one thing is going right…"

Since he couldn't solve all the problems at that moment, he could at least think about the name of the Daycare.

It was then that he remembered where he was: Lavender, a town shrouded in a spiritual and mystical air, with stories that mingled respect and fear for Pokémon. Inspired, he decided:

"Soulrest Pokémon Daycare."

He said it aloud, feeling the weight and serenity of the name. A haven of rest, care, and harmony.

Before he could continue reflecting, the System sounded:

🧾 [Achievement Unlocked: Weighty Name]

By naming his Daycare with creativity and meaning, Shiro earned recognition from the Achievement System, receiving exceptional rewards to boost his business and prepare it to become a global benchmark.

🎁 Rewards received:

1. Completion and complete renovation of the Daycare.

2. Creation of a Dimensional Ecopark (Initial sub-area: Plain with rivers, trees and green pasture).

3. Portal linked to the Ecopark for Florio Island, Lental Region.

4. 4 Chanseys (Green Potential), 2 Audinos (Blue Potential) and 1 Blissey (Indigo Potential), all with advanced knowledge of Pokémon breeding and care.

[Click to collect rewards]

Shiro stood still for a few seconds, his mouth open.

"That's… ridiculous."

He murmured, somewhere between surprised and ecstatic, before immediately clicking to collect the rewards.

In an instant, the building around him glowed purple and white. The sound of hammers, saws, and scaffolding faded, and when he opened his eyes again, everything was ready. The Daycare looked like something out of a luxury catalog: impeccable facade, sophisticated decor, and above the entrance, a glowing sign bearing the name Soulrest Pokémon Daycare.

Apparently, the System altered reality itself to carry out the entire renovation, so to outsiders, it looked as if Shiro had actually paid workers to do the renovation. For him, it happened in an instant, while for others, it didn't.

The magic of the system working in the best possible way.

Inside the Daycare, there was a gentle scent of flowers and cleanliness. Each room had top-quality furniture, with spaces adapted to different ages and Pokémon needs. But what caught his attention most was the futuristic-looking metal door at the back, equipped with a recognition system controlled directly by the System.

He touched the panel, and the door swung open, revealing a bright glow. As he stepped through, he felt as if he were leaving reality itself.

The Dimensional Ecopark stretched out before him:

Green fields swaying in the wind, leafy trees scattered across the horizon, crystal-clear rivers cutting through the landscape, and small fenced-in areas for newborns.

Everything was perfectly recreated, the climate, the sounds, even the smell of earth and fresh water. The air there seemed purer, more invigorating.

It was a safe, self-sufficient paradise, with infinite resources controlled by the System, including feeding areas, resting points, and natural infirmaries for Pokémon.

Shiro, still in awe, took the Poké Balls he'd received and released the Chanseys, Audinos, and Blissey. They all appeared in a soft glow, greeting him with warm and respectful expressions.

Seeing those creatures, with such high potentials, especially Blissey with Indigo potential, made Shiro chuckle to himself.

"It's like I stole the Joy Family's stock…"

He knew that in the real world, obtaining Pokémon like that would be nearly impossible without ties to that family. But there he was, with a perfect team to care for any species that might be born or cared for.

After letting them settle in and taking up their positions, Shiro headed to a small cabin in the Ecopark. Inside was another portal, this one marked with a symbol representing the ocean. It was the direct route to Florio Island in the Lental Region, a wild, unexplored territory full of opportunities… and dangers.

The real work was just beginning.

----

Shiro took a deep breath as the metal door magically opened before him, the portal to Florio in the Lental region, a reward granted by his Achievement System. It was his chance to explore a territory largely untouched by humans: the Lental archipelago, known for its wild beauty and Pokémon diversity.

He gathered the information he had accumulated over the past few days: Lental was the region of New Pokémon Snap, a collection of several islands uninhabited by humans, especially in this world, where no human had ever set foot there.

Florio, the first of these, was a mosaic of grasslands, rivers, forests, and shimmering flowers, a pristine ecosystem inhabited only by Pokémon, from the most common to legendary creatures and powerful Pokémon spirits.

In the game this was already true, but there, in the reality of that world, the reports, rumors and the few documents, in addition to the system interface, suggested something even more vast and dangerous: more legendaries hidden on the islands than the game ever showed.

To Shiro, it all made sense: the system seemed to anticipate his needs, a casino of opportunities to capture rare Pokémon for breeding and sale, a mine of untapped potential to boost his Daycare.

Then he stepped through the portal.

----

Shiro's eyes widened as he stepped onto Florio's land. Ahead of them was a lush meadow dotted with tall grasses and blue and purple flowers under a clear sky.

Crystal-clear streams meandered through the landscape, surrounded by tall trees and dotted with floating light, the blue Crystablooms that shone like small stars, in line with the researchers' reports.

He walked carefully, feeling the cooler weather than in Lavender, hearing the distant calls of wild Pokémon, Vivillon flying over the flowers, Pichu hopping, Bidoof working the rivers, and the small murmurs of other unseen beings. Each step felt like a living painting, a movie he could enter.

Summoning his system, Shiro instantly received information about the location:

Florio Nature Park, with day and night routes, secret bridges, and the famous Illumina Spot, he knew he could use this to explore strategically.

Soon, small Pokémon appeared, Pichu, Oddish, and others the system indicated along the daytime route. Shinx and Gastly were also by his side: the first challenges were simple, with weak, easily defeated Pokémon, but they allowed him to practice using battle commands and feel the system guiding his successes and failures.

With each victorious battle, Shinx and Gastly slowly leveled up, getting a little stronger with each encounter. Shiro, meanwhile, commanded with a blend of fan knowledge and a trainer's true caution.

He knew how games worked, but facing real battles required sensitivity: timing attacks, opportunities for special moves, synergy between the trainer and the Pokémon.

He was getting better.

Without him realizing it, Shiro's presence had already been noticed: a small blue Pokémon, a delicate, translucent being, floated in the distance, watching his every move. It was cautious, but steady. Shiro moved forward, unaware of its presence.

However, that small observer, a creature connected to the mysteries of Florio, could decide that trainer's fate depending on how Shiro behaved. A silent guardian, gauging intentions.

As he moved forward, Shiro observed the horizon, the mystery of Lental, the vastness before him. The journey had only just begun, and already he felt the magic unfold.
