Gilbert's face automatically darkened when Cherry suddenly let go of his arm to grab his cellphone that was resting on the center table.
"I-I'll just answer the call," Cherry said, her heart pounding.
The man didn't answer, so she quickly stood up.
She hurriedly entered her room and answered Elijah's call.
Gilbert was left in the living room, looking furious as if he was looking for a fight. Didn't the woman know that she saw who called?
'Goddammit!!
A few moments later, Cherry came out again after answering that call. She could feel the tension of those moments as she looked at the man who seemed to want to grab her.
"M-Mister Ace Carter, it's a bit late. G- Go home and get some rest," Cherry said carefully to the man.
Gilbert was shocked when he heard that and he couldn't hide the anger he felt in front of the woman. His eyes widened as he spoke. "Why are you rushing me home? Will that Elijah come?"
