"BWAHAHA!"
Haji's laughter echoed thunderously inside the chopper. Everyone stared at him like they were trapped with a deranged man. Among them was Scarlet, who scoffed and glared daggers at him.
She was not in the mood anymore, and hearing Haji laugh as if they were on their way to a beach vacation only irritated her further.
"Baby, you are my best friend from now on!" Haji cackled, giving Baby a thumbs-up. The latter offered a small smile and lowered his head slightly.
Earlier today, Baby had recommended adding one more person to the mission team. In truth, they didn't need anyone else — their numbers were perfect: not too big, not too small.
Still, an extra hand wasn't a big deal. Baby rarely requested anything. So when he suggested Chuck — Lola, Atlas, and even Allen had no objection.
The problem was… even though the trio agreed, Baby did not tell Chuck beforehand — just as instructed.
