Ransom stitched up one of the men on the table—just a normal table, not one from an operating room—working quietly. Even though many thoughts lingered in his mind, he forced himself to focus on the task at hand first.
His assistant, Florida, however, couldn't help but glance at the granny beside them. She was assisting efficiently, handing over the proper tools Ransom had brought with him.
"They will be alright," the granny spoke even before she was asked. Lifting her eyes, her gaze met Florida's. "If they are skilled enough, those two will be fine."
With the right skills in this territory, those two—Izu and Pika—had nothing to worry about.
"Just believe in your friends," she added.
"We're not friends," Florida was quick to clarify, refocusing on the patient. "I haven't even spoken to them until now."
Ransom paused briefly and glanced at Florida, but said nothing before continuing his work.
