"Chacha, Second… let's go," Kiara whispered gently to the twins as they stayed long enough to watch the men cover Lola's grave. She then glanced up at her First Brother and let out a shallow exhale.
No one had left yet because Atlas was still there. However, Allen had decided to tell the others to leave first.
As Kiara carefully assisted the twins to leave, Atlas shifted his gaze to his children. At the same time, Chacha and Second stopped for a moment and looked up at him.
The usual bubbly innocence in their eyes was gone. They weren't glaring at their father, but the resentment in their eyes was clear.
"Liar," Second muttered while looking at his father, while Chacha bit her lip.
When Chacha couldn't take it anymore, she lunged at him, punching and kicking his leg. "Liar! Liar! You said you were going to protect our mommy! Liar! Liar! I hate you!"
But even as she beat his leg, Atlas just stared at her blankly.
