The year is 2025, the earth is a parallel to ours with the exception of a few fictional cities. The story takes place in America, specifically in a fictional city called Neonhaven located in Alabama.
Within this world is a superhuman society, Despite widespread powers, laws still govern society.
99% of the world is born with a "Flare" which is the power system I came up with. The remaining 1% are regular humans, described as the outcasts. Flares are the power you are born with, some outmatch others in terms of power and usefulness. Any and all flares can be broken and unfair depending on the User. Even humans can be strong, the only limit to strength in this universe is you.
With the addition of powers comes Heroes and Villains. There is a league of heroes who fight villains. Each hero and villain is unique in personality and style.
The story is dark and goes into a lot of disturbing detail. However it is filled with a ton of action while simultaneously balancing a very interesting storyline.
