Three days had passed, Xuanyuan Zhen was in the forest hunting all sorts of beasts. The weakest was comparable to Early stages of Foundation Establishment Realm. He spent that time being familiar with his breakthrough. It's the first time he's heard of stages beyond Body Tempering 10th stage.
Currently, he was in a fierce clash with a Crimson Furred Bear, comparable to a peak Foundation Establishment Realm Cultivator, known for its strength and savagery. His skin tempered with Weapon Intent shone like bronze, as if he was carved from it, his purple–golden blood Qi enhanced by Battle Intent blazed like magma, his eyes dark with Killing Intent made him appear like a humanoid weapon plus the Primordial Breath within his body made him appear like an Invincible God of War.
The Crimson Furred Bear stood before Xuanyuan Zhen, it's shadow large enough to cover his entire figure, it's eyes red with rage as it raised it's right fore limb in attempt to sweep the puny human before it. Xuanyuan Zhen moved backwards, evading the attack which shattered and sent many large trees flying then dashed forward with a clenched fist, throwing a punch which landed straight to the jaw, sending it staggering backwards.
This enraged it the more as it charged again, with it's claws ready to rip him apart. Upon seeing this he let out an evil grin as he advanced instead of retreating. His powerful physique empowered by Myriad Arms Intent and Primordial Breath erupted with purple–golden blood Qi as his fist collided with the beast. He sent it flying backwards with a fist colliding with it's claws attack, the overbearing fist force tore it's arm apart to pieces. But He didn't stop there.
He kept landing fist attacks on the beast, shattering it's internal organs and splattering it's blood on the ground, until it was weakened, then he ended it's life with a punch to the head crushing it's skull.
He removed the beast core from its corpse and kept in his storage ring. He'd lost count of how many beasts he'd killed. Only a few beasts, comparable to middle to late stage Core Formation cultivators could pose a threat to him. Such combat power at Body Tempering Realm was too terrifying. Such are the advantages of the 11th stage Body Tempering Realm.
He had had four more days before going for assessment at the War God Sect, and he needed to breakthrough to Qi Condensation, not that his strength was insufficient but he had no interest to stand out.
As he ventured deeper into the forest he heard sounds of fighting not far from him. He moved quietly to observe the situation. And he saw two beasts, an Azure Flame Python and an Iron Scaled Tiger. Both beasts comparable to Late Core Formation Realm Cultivators clashed against each other. Not far from them, he could see a small plant with ten fruit ripening on its branches. He watched as it gathered large amounts of Heaven and Earth Qi to nourish the fruits.
'It turns out they're fighting over these Spiritual fruits,' he thought. Even he wanted to consume them. The Trinity of Primordial Breath consume vast amounts of Qi to cultivate. If he could consume those fruits, his advancement to Qi Condensation Realm won't be far away.
And so he watched as both beasts fough till exhaustion, as well as the ripening of the fruits. The Azure Flame Python was covered with claw marks that drew blood. The razor sharp claws of the Iron Scaled Tiger were no joke. He remembered the encounter he had with a weaker one. If not for his dual physiques, he would have been gravely injured. The Iron Scaled Tiger didn't go scot-free as well. The fiery breath from the Azure Flame Python had burned off majority of its scales. Now there was a stalemate between them. Both waiting for an opportunity to strike. Until they sense a dense release of Qi from the spiritual fruit. All ten fruits were jade coloured, the scent tempting both parties. Before they could rush towards it, they saw another party standing beside the plant. A Body Tempering Realm human.
Xuanyuan Zhen had already beat them to it. With a swipe of his right arm, he plucked all the fruits and placed them in his storage ring, then he let out a playful smile.
Both beasts were enraged by the sight of this and rushed towards him, wishing to tear this human before them apart. If they were in their peak he would be in a bit of trouble, but now in their weak state?
He dashed towards the Azure Flame Python first, with his right hand clenched into a fist, his skin turned bronze as he activated the Myriad Arms Intent, then gave a straight punch to the head, blasting it to crimson paste splattering on the ground. The Iron Scaled Tiger was terrified upon seeing this, as if standing face to face with death. It turned to flee, but Xuanyuan Zhen was faster. In a split second, he caught up delivering a punch to its back, shattering it's internal organs.
He stood, watching both massive corpses on the ground. What a massive luck he had today.
Two more beast cores and much more valuable harvest. He turned around to leave the forest. He's gotten about enough for his breakthrough.
