Chapter 262 - Chapter 261: Operation Network Cleanup

Chapter 261: Operation Network Cleanup

After leaving Orochimaru's lab, Sasuke arrived at the underground Lab Zero and sealed away one of Son Goku's tails, the Four-Tails, which he had finally obtained.

It must be said that the Jinchuriki, Roshi, was indeed extremely powerful. While not as powerful as Mito or Bunpuku, he shouldn't be underestimated. His capture by Akatsuki was not due to Roshi's weakness; it was simply because Itachi and Kisame were more formidable. With Roshi's terrifying power, combined with Sasuke's, Shun's, and Duy's strength, and the effects of Samehada and Water Style, they were barely able to match him. If Duy hadn't unleashed his Seventh Gate at the critical moment, temporarily containing the beast, they would have been doomed.

Now, after the Five, Eight, and Nine-Tails, he had finally captured the Four-Tails' chakra. Having obtained it, he didn't use it to create pseudo-jinchuriki. He discovered that the chakra from the Four and Five-Tails, due to quality issues, was completely unusable for that purpose. The Nine-Tails' chakra, on the other hand, proved to be highly effective, although the physical fitness requirements were also higher.

To date, he had only created three truly successful pseudo-jinchuriki: Natsuhi, from the Nine-Tails; and Yotaka and Sosuke, from the Eight-Tails. The others were simply disposable test subjects.

Kakuzu trained the three, but their progress was slow. "Boss, training ninjas like this is too slow. Why don't you let me go to the black market and recruit a group of rogue ninjas?"

"Forget it, let's train them ourselves," Sasuke rejected the proposal. Seeing Kakuzu's disappointment, he took out a tube of potion. "This is Life's Star No. 1, developed by Hiruko. It can quickly breed ninjas. While it can only train them to chunin, it's enough for our Land of Waves."

"Life's Star No. 1?" Kakuzu's emerald eyes shone with a golden light.

"It's a secret elixir formulated with meteorite dust and the flesh of the Five-Tails," Sasuke explained. "Once consumed, it can fully unleash a ninja's potential, bringing them to their maximum, which is currently chunin."

"Doesn't that mean a single tube can quickly produce an elite ninja?" Kakuzu realized.

"This elixir can only be supplied ten times every two weeks. Ninjas with the potential to become jonin shouldn't use it for now."

Sasuke left ten tubes, gave some instructions, and headed to the Angkor Fortress modification room. After some time, the nine mecha puppets were almost assembled, using energy storage systems and chakra cannons brought directly from the fortress.

"First, let's test the defensive power of the chakra shield," he said. "Rasengan!"

He condensed a Rasengan and launched a blow at the mecha puppet's chest. Boom! A chakra shield emerged, easily blocking the attack.

"As for energy defense, it can easily withstand A-rank ninjutsu. As for physical defense, the mirror puppet is reliable. It has basically maximized its defenses."

The mecha puppet was practically flawless; its only flaw was its relatively high energy consumption.

After arriving at the dungeon and allowing Samehada to absorb a portion of chakra, he immediately left and returned to the Land of Rivers front. Upon his return, Kōjin gave him good news: the manufacturing technology for the Hidden Mist Village's detonating plates had finally significantly improved the markings on the plates used in the Shibuki sword.

"Shizuka, keep working hard to achieve genuine copying technology, not just counterfeits."

"Aren't you satisfied yet, Clan Leader? You're very good at giving orders," she rolled her eyes.

"Are you satisfied with Iwagakure's sealing technique?" he handed her a scroll he had prepared.

"Wow! It's real!" she was stunned upon opening it.

After leaving the lab, he went to the command post. "Vice-Commander!" Shikaku stepped forward, handing him a scroll. "This is the supply loss report. At the transit station, another batch is missing."

Sasuke's gaze hardened, and a familiar, repugnant smell came to mind. That putrid smell again!

"Leave this to Aoi, so that little Morino Ibiki can get some practice," Sasuke ordered.

A few days later, under the pretext of inspecting the warehouse, he arrived at the location. "Sound Release: Sonic Radar Technique!" he whispered. Invisible waves spread, covering the entire warehouse.

As each Suna spy was identified, a shocking case was revealed.

"Did you hear? The Mitokado clan is smuggling again with the Sand ninjas." The rumors spread quickly throughout the front.

To avoid suspicion, Sasuke immediately handed over the collected evidence to Choza, who acted decisively, condemning all those involved for treason in wartime. The remaining forces of the Mitokado clan on the front were completely wiped out, and the Suna intelligence network suffered a devastating blow.

Taking advantage of this lapse, Sasuke, disguised as a Mitokado clan smuggling team, reached a final agreement with the Sunataki clan. They, euphoric upon receiving the premium detonating talismans, transported them to the front line.

"Elder! These talismans are of the highest quality and in sufficient quantity!" the jonin in charge reported.

Ebizo personally examined several of them, and the sadness that had accumulated for days finally dissipated. "Great! Excellent!" he laughed, clutching the talismans. "White Blood Demon, just you wait! This time I'll use the weapons that Konoha sent me to destroy you and your troops!"
