Chapter 274: Wind Style Mode
A shrill alarm sounded, breaking the silence without warning. Countless sensors embedded in the walls instantly burst with a blinding red light.
Ebizō and Arashi sensed that something was wrong and tried to evade the attack, but it was too late. With a soft "poof!", Ebizō dodged a fatal blow, but the high-pressure water line cut him diagonally, piercing his shoulder, chest, and finally his waist. Half of his body, including his left arm, had been severed, exposing his modified internal organs. Despite his serious injuries, he barely staggered, insensitive to the pain.
"Water Cutting Wave? White-Haired Demon!", Ebizō's face reflected caution and twitched with anger.
"Old man, you're really tough!", Sasuke appeared, watching coldly. Most of Ebizō's organs had been modified, but his heart, enclosed in an alloy casing, was still beating hard.
Meanwhile, faced with Sakumo's surprise attack, although Arashi reacted quickly, blocking his vital organs with a mechanical arm, the lightning-fast White Fang Sword cut most of his alloy bones. The immense impact sent him flying backward.
"Konoha's White Fang?!", Arashi stabilized; his face did not show fear, but a horrible twisted smile. "You're the perfect place to test my new powers!"
Standing, Ruriyu watched her husband's frantic behavior and her uncle's horrible injuries. A flash of pain shone in her eyes, then it gave way to determination. She formed seals and unleashed a wind jutsu. "Wind Style: Great Net!"
A layer of chakra emerged from Sakumo's body. He moved freely through the net and pursued Arashi. Energized by the layer, his speed was unpredictable, and the attacks of his White Fang Sword were fierce. Even with the perfect coordination of the couple, they were overwhelmed.
Compared to the couple's situation, Ebizō's was no better. Besieged by the mecha puppets, he could only dodge. The newly recreated Ten Chikamatsu puppets were reduced to pieces.
"Furious Wind Cut!"
One of the puppets finally broke the blockade and reached Ebizō. Unable to evade, he raised his right fist to resist. With a dull thump, the ground beneath his feet cracked, but with a single punch, he managed to resist.
"Alloy skeleton?!", Sasuke's gaze shone. Ebizō not only underwent organ reconstruction but also replaced all the bones in his body with high-strength alloys, giving him a terrifying strength.
"Wind Breath: Explosive Step!"
Sasuke attacked instantly, piercing the interception of the Ten Chikamatsu. Ebizō controlled a puppet to resist, while his main body moved away, but it was too late. "Monstrous Strength!"
Sasuke struck hard, and under the blessing of the Heavy Rock Technique, it was like the power of a mountain.
"Ha!", Ebizō struck back with all his might. With the strength of his alloy skeleton, he believed he could face even a mecha puppet. But with a resonant crunch, his metallic right arm shattered.
"Old man, you're really tenacious," Sasuke contemplated the shattered Ebizō, impressed by his determination. He remembered that even after losing his legs, he could still control his puppets. Now, after losing his arms, he could still release chakra from his heart, persevering.
"Darkness Walking Technique!", Sasuke unleashed an illusion, trying to block Ebizō's vision. He, however, seemed unperturbed, dodging and jumping like a hunted mouse.
"Immune to genjutsu?!", Sasuke wondered.
While the mecha puppets launched their furious attacks, he noticed something unusual in Sakumo on the other side of the battlefield. "Wind Style Chakra Mode? Activated Lightning Cells!"
He clearly perceived that, as Sakumo moved, a layer of light blue chakra enveloped his body, forming an elegant barrier that reduced air resistance, giving him a speed and explosive power beyond the limits of vision.
"I see!", Sasuke's eyes lit up. His previous attempt to develop a chakra mode had been a failure. Sakumo's approach was much more effective. With his immense control, he was like the most sophisticated replication machine, constantly imitating and adjusting, trying to channel his own Wind Style chakra in a similar way.
"Instantaneous!", Sasuke's mind sped up, and an explosive power flooded his body. The world seemed to slow down.
Seeing the tremendous increase in speed, Ebizō's eyes screamed with fear. "Explode!", he made a puppet explode, taking the opportunity to flee. Sasuke unleashed the kunai throwing technique, blocking his route.
Just as Ebizō was about to escape from the control tower, "Flying Thunder God Slash!"
Sasuke, holding the Thunder God Sword, with his body flooded with Wind Style chakra, disappeared. With a soft "whoosh," the sword went straight through Ebizō's heart.
