"Get up and speak," Sasuke nodded in a magnetic voice, with a touch of Orochimaru's style. "How is the situation at the Jinquan Oasis?"
Shigehachi respectfully stood up. "In response to the master, everything is going well. The Dawn banner has been raised. Soon the oasis will become our new fortress!"
"Very good," Sasuke comforted him. "You did a good job. Why did you come here this time?"
A flash of warmth shone in Shigehachi's eyes. He knelt down again. "Master! I have thought it through. For the sake of the Dawn cause, to be able to follow you better, I beg you to transform my body!"
"Oh?", Sasuke remained silent.
"I know that other commanders have made great progress after receiving your grace. I also long for that power. I am willing to take any risk!"
'For the sake of the Dawn cause?', Sasuke scoffed to himself. 'He has simply seen the other leaders increase their strength and feels the pressure of competition.'
But a hint of approval appeared on his face. "Chongba, you have good intentions. I'll lend you a hand!", he got up and patted him on the shoulder. "However, the operation is not without risks. "Take care of him," he instructed his clone.
The clone nodded expressionlessly and secured Shigehachi on the operating table. The mechanized transformation surgery had been performed many times before, a simplified procedure.
Sasuke's body went straight to the central area of the laboratory, where the transformation of Ruriyu's corpse had entered its final phase. Her body had undergone a profound transformation. A high-strength alloy skeleton supported the activated flesh. Complex meridians and neural networks crossed her body, glowing with the faint light of chakra.
On another table, a figure that resembled a living dead lay on a platform. Since he was captured, Dodai had gone through countless experiments in the art of spiritual transformation. Several clones surrounded him, transforming his body, seeking to create a rubber puppet with formidable defensive abilities.
Sasuke's expectant gaze swept over Dodai and finally focused on the crystal mecha girl. He walked toward an incubator, in which a strange fist-sized core was suspended, emitting emerald green light and scarlet chakra currents. This was the regeneration core he painstakingly created using Hashirama's cells, the fusion of the Nine-Tails' chakra, and the support of two technological giants, Orochimaru and Hiruko.
