"Hello?" The courier called, ringing the door bell at the same time. "Is anyone home?"
Alessia turned around and went back to her seat. She took two of the pillows on the couch and covered her ears.
'What package is that even?' She thought with a frown. 'Can't he come back another day?'
Ding ding ding!
"Hello?" The courier called out again.
Alessia pressed the pillows against her ears harder, fighting the urge to groan. She knew it was best for her to keep quiet until the man got tired and left but she couldn't stand the continuous ringing of the doorbell.
"Yes?" She answered with exasperation in her voice as she approached the door again. "Who is it?"
"Ah…" The courier exclaimed softly. "Good afternoon, ma'am. I've come to deliver a package for Dervan Salviati."
"Oh, I see…" Alessia answered. "Mr. Salviati isn't home at the moment. Could you leave the package at the door? I'll pick it up later."
