Aveline ran through the halls, until she arrived in her room, and dashed inside.
She shut the door behind her, buried her back on it, and let out a satisfied smile.
The euphoric thrill that followed right after was so warm, she slipped right to the ground, and surrendered herself to its embrace.
"So this is what it feels like?" She whispered.
To play the victim and villain at the same time. It was the best she had felt in weeks.
For once, she hoped Nadia would actually see that she wasn't messing with her anymore.
The battle line had been drawn, and above everything else, she was ready to play.
A giant breath slipped out of her parted lips.
But not long after, she grew somber. "I did it," she said, joining her knees together, and resting her head on them. "I'm finally going to clear the debts. And in one year, I'll be free. I did it," she sniffled.
Her thoughts shifted from the joy of her win, to her parents.
