Atlas slowly turned to see Landon smiling with a mischievous glint in his eyes.
"Why are you here?" He wasted no time in asking.
"To see Aveline, of course. I figured when I received the invite for the event, Aveline would be attending, considering she's an artist herself. I had to be here by all means. And I'm glad I did–" his gaze shifted to Aveline, taking her all in. "You look stunning, Vee."
Atlas instinctively held Aveline's hands. "Are you not tired of being humiliated? She doesn't want you around."
"Is that so, Vee? I'd like to hear it from her myself. Do you not want to see me? Or is that something you say to soothe the man child's overblown ego?"
Atlas' other hand folded into a fist as he inhaled sharply.
"Stop it, Lan. This is not the time or place for petty nonsense. You shouldn't be here."
Landon kept smiling. "I know you're just saying that because of him. Tell me, when—"
"Landon Lyon, I heard you're suing my family," Yasmin said, as she walked over.
