[The morning before ]
[The wedding day]
Inside the ready room,
Han Jihyun sat before the mirror, still in the middle of getting dressed, while the people around him bustled with excitement.
Wonyoung and Lisa were both in charge of keeping little Hyunwon calm.
The baby was cranky, squirming in Wonyoung's arms and refusing to stop making small noises.
"Hyunwon-ah, please, we're almost done. Mama's getting ready, okay?"
Lisa said softly, patting his back.
Wonyoung sighed dramatically.
"He's not listening. Definitely inherited jihyun stubbornness."
Jihyun, standing nearby in his suit, glanced over. "I heard that."
Lisa rolled her eyes.
"Then don't act innocent."
Before Taewon could get up to take Hyunwon so he'll stop crying , Taemi walked in, arms folded and expression sharp.
"You're not touching the baby right today."
Taewon frowned. "Why not?"
"Because," Taemi snapped, pointing at him,
"if Hyunwon throws up again and you get milk stains on your suit, you'll walk out there looking like a panicked father instead of a chairman. Sit down."
Taewon blinked, slightly confused.
"I can handle"
"Sit. Down."
Even Jihyun turned around, laughing quietly.
"You should listen to her, Taewon-ah."
Taewon gave him a small glare, but he still sat obediently, looking like a scolded child.
"Can't even hold my own son on my wedding day," he muttered under his breath.
Taemi smirked.
"You can hold him after you say your vows, not before. One wrong move, and you'll have milk on your collar."
The room erupted in laughter, even Jihyun chuckling softly as he adjusted his sleeves.
Outside, the guests were already arriving.
Mrs. Kang was greeting them with her usual grace, dressed in soft lavender hanbok, her smile radiant.
Taehyun, and Jihan were by her side,
while Taesung carried dan and Sunghoon carried Haeun around to keep them from crying.
Minjoon was busy making sure everything was in order before the ceremony began.
After a few minutes,
Minjoon entered the ready room. His eyes softened instantly when he saw Jihyun fully dressed.
He stopped for a moment, his voice trembling.
"You look… perfect, Jihyun-ah."
Jihyun smiled shyly.
"Hyung, don't start or you'll make me cry before I even walk out."
Minjoon walked closer, holding out his trembling hands.
"I just I don't know what to say. But can I?" He took a breath, his voice cracking.
"Can I walk you over the venue today? Like a father would?"
The room went quiet. Jihyun blinked, emotions tightening in his chest.
"Hyung," he whispered softly,
"you're crying like a baby. How are you supposed to walk me like a father when you're shaking this much?"
Minjoon let out a small, tearful laugh.
"I guess I'm not strong enough for this."
Jihyun smiled and brushed the tears off Minjoon's cheeks with his thumb.
"You've always been strong, hyung. Let's go."
Outside, the lights dimmed slightly as music began to play a gentle piano melody echoing through the hall.
The announcer's voice came through the speakers, clear and warm.
"Please welcome the bride, Han Jihyun."
Every head turned.
Jihyun stepped forward, holding onto Minjoon's arm. His steps were calm, but his eyes were glistening.
The crowd went quiet, admiration and emotion filling the air.
At the far end of the aisle,
Taewon stood waiting, his family behind him. His hands were shaking slightly, but his
expression was full of love.
Mrs. Kang smiled proudly from behind, whispering to taemi
"Our boy finally found peace."
When Jihyun reached the end, Minjoon stopped in front of Taewon.
Minjoon voice wavered. "I promised my dad I'd look after him. But today, I'm handing that promise to you. Take care of him, Taewon-ah."
Taewon's voice soft but firm.
"I promise. For a lifetime."
Minjoon nodded, eyes red as he stepped back.
Taemi gently nudged Taewon's shoulder from behind, whispering teasingly,
"Go on. Don't just stand there staring like a statue."
Taewon smiled faintly and reached for Jihyun's hand. Their fingers met softly, trembling slightly.
The officiant stepped forward, announcing the beginning of the ceremony.
Following Korean tradition,
Taewon and Jihyun performed their vows through the three bows first to heaven and earth, second to their parents, and third to each other.
Each bow was slow and sincere, their eyes never leaving each other's.
Then came the vows.
"I, Kang Taewon, promise to hold your heart with care,"
Taewon said quietly, voice trembling.
"Even when you push me away, I'll stay beside you. I won't lose you again."
Jihyun's lips trembled.
"I, Han Jihyun, promise to believe you this time even when I'm scared. And when you stumble, I'll remind you that we've already survived the worst."
They exchanged the small silver rings matching, simple and heartfelt.
Then came the final step a traditional cup of hapgeunju, the ceremonial wine.
They each drank once, then switched cups and drank again, sealing their promise as one.
Silence lingered for a moment before the officiant smiled softly.
"You may now seal your vow with a kiss."
Taewon took a deep breath, looking into Jihyun's eyes those same eyes that had once glared, cried, and smiled for him.
He leaned forward slowly, one hand cupping Jihyun's cheek, and kissed him gently.
It wasn't rushed it was a kiss full of quiet relief, love, and forgiveness.
The hall erupted into applause.
Mrs. Kang wiped her eyes, whispering,
"He finally showed his love to the world."
Meanwhile, at the back, Taehyun wrapped an arm around Minjoon, whispering,
"See? Told you love runs in this family."
Minjoon sniffled, kicking his shin hard.
"You talk too much."
Taehyun yelped in pain, hopping on one foot. "Ow! Are you trying to kill me before dinner?"
The guests nearby burst out laughing at the sight of Taehyun trying to balance himself.
The ceremony continued with soft music and bright smiles.
And when it was all done when everyone had congratulated them and the cameras stopped flashing Jihyun looked up at Taewon under the soft lights of the stage.
"Let's make it last this time," he whispered.
Taewon smiled, brushing his lips against Jihyun's forehead.
"No more endings. Only beginnings."
