"Nice trick," Nelson said with a smirk, his eyes crinkling with excitement. Those eyes that had been normal suddenly attained a strange glow that one would think that he had suddenly been possessed by an evil spirit.
But that is not the case. Instead he had his eyes mixed with neon, granting him extremely sharp vision so he was able to see the trap that Elias had set for him.
"Easy peasy."
His short dagger elongated, radiating a blue light which he stabbed forward, twisting reality with that strangely sharp blade.
Elias dodged, using gravity to slow Nelson down but his lightweight body suit prevented him from being affected by it. Elias tilted his body, his eyes narrowing at the fact that this guy was actually keeping up to his pace.
This back and forth wouldn't work for long… he had to change strategy. But Elias was insane, just like Nelson, so he smiled darkly, grabbing that long sword by the sharp edge, allowing it to slice through his palm, drawing blood.
Elias' defiance stunned Nelson that he grew distracted for a split second and Elias breached the distance and landed a fist on Nelson's chest, the force of impact sending him flying, completely shattering what was left of the shed, leaving both men open to the rainstorm.
"I can't believe this…" Elias chuckled, running a hand over his wet hair, slowly making his way towards Nelson sprawled on the floor. Then he stopped mid way and spat in disgust.
"You're just a nobody, you couldn't even be accepted by the people around you. Everyone detests you… from your relatives to your neighbors and even more, even the universe stripped you of the right to master its laws and yet you dare go against me? Who do you think that you are?"
Nelson chuckled softly, struggling to sit upright, still reeling in pain from that singular attack.
"Who am I? I am Nelson… the one you know of… the only one that can make you feel so wary and insecure… the Nelson that will kill you today."
Elias snickered in laughter. "And how do you intend to do that?"
Nelson smiled… three fingers in the air, he counted down. Three… two… one.
Elias suddenly felt a terrifying sense of danger from behind. He turned sharply, only to have a sword miss his heart by a hair's breadth, but he did not avoid it, stabbing into his body and shooting out from the other side.
Shocked, he spat out a mouthful of blood, staring at Nelson behind him that had stabbed him and also the Nelson he thought had been defeated.
Why were they two Nelsons?
Nelson stood up from the ground with a pained expression and said… "You have quite a strong sense of danger… a moment's delay and this blade should have stabbed into your heart but you managed to avoid it despite being stabbed, how lucky of you."
Elias sneered. "Why are there two of you?"
Nelson chuckled, spitting out his own mouthful of blood. "Oh, him? I just had him set up as a backup, you know… just in case it becomes hard to take you down alone, he will definitely be my last resort."
Elias Vorn smiled. "But you haven't killed me yet. You didn't strike my heart…"
Nelson's expression became stiff… so serious that Elias shivered slightly.
"Remind me not to make that mistake again… Now let's finish this!"
The second Nelson pulled out the sword from Elias' body, causing the man to scream out in pain… and the moment he did, he let out gravity like a storm, pushing the second Nelson away and smashing him against a nearby wall, which exploded into a rain of stones and debris.
Nelson stared at his clone without the lightweight body suit and realized that without it, how can the clone withstand such overpowering gravity.
Having gotten rid of one Nelson, Elias moved forward with inhuman speed, completely spooking Nelson but he activated his reflex actions, dodging a slap that would have shattered the bones in his chest.
A chill crawled down his spine and he tapped all of the buttons attached on his waist. They unleashed tiny swords that moved at frightening speed that Elias couldn't catch a glimpse of and they stabbed into his body and disappeared, causing the man to spit out blood again.
'Damn it.'
Reducing the weight on his feet, he appeared before Nelson in an instant, actually startling the man. What was worse is… Nelson did not have any time to create a defensive barrier or electric shields so he used his hands, putting them in an X format and a powerful force slammed into him.
His lightweight body suit cracked as open fissures appeared in them and blood dropped from his lips.
'I have to kill him… I have to kill him.'
What was clause 24.3 in the Asuras constitution? It is; kill or be killed… he had to accomplish the task to get the rewards. But if he fails to do that, he will be punished by death.
He had every right to decline the mission when it was issued to him, but he accepted it so he either had to kill Elias or be on the run because right now, Elias was already frightening.
He was trying to recover from that blow when Elias appeared before him like he had done earlier that took him by surprise but this time, he tapped on the wristwatch on his hand suddenly teleporting a few distance away.
