Everyone gathers in the base. One month has passed since that incident.
"Don't worry. Even if we lost one scroll, we still have four," said Damian .
Nahru frowned. "Yeah, but I'm more concerned about that guy…"
Ryan: "I am too. He seems really strong…"
Juliet spoke with discomfort. "But guys, there's something strange about him… The black aura he released from his body—when it touched my skin, it felt like burning."
Isobel: "How strange…"
Nahru sat in silence, thinking deeply.
"He must be..."
Damian: "Let's think about this later. We've got another location. Let's get the scroll before that guy does."
"OK..." everyone said together.
Now everyone is sitting in a café .
Juliet: "Isn't it weird no one came to fight?"
Damian: "They must be planning something…"
Isobel: "Maybe they got the location late… and we got here before them…"
Ryan glanced around the café carefully. "Hmm… that should be the case. But I'm sure they're somewhere around us…"
Damian: "We should hurry back and place the scroll in the base."
Juliet, keeping the scroll hidden, nodded.
Juliet:"Okay…"
Meanwhile, Juliet is distracted by a baby crawling toward their table.
"HOW CUTEEE!" she squealed. Nahru was also distracted, watching the baby with a big smile.
The baby's mother quickly came and picked him up.
Baby's mother: "I'm sorry…"
Isobel: "Nope, that's fine…"
Everyone is heading back to their base while chatting...
Suddenly—
Juliet: "Wait… is he…?"
Ryan: "Oh… that mask bastard…"
The masked man is standing in front of them.
Without warning, he pulls out his sword and proceeds to attack. Ryan jumps in to fight.
Damian: "So he's a sword user."
Ryan tries to land a hit, but the man is incredibly fast. Ryan activates his lightning power, grabs the enemy's sword—then follows up with a fire punch using his other hand.
"How weird… That mask looks fixed. Or maybe he created it using his power… And also, he feels weak. Or maybe... his attack is fake…" Ryan thinks.
Isobel (shouting): "Juliet, look back!"
The masked guy charges toward Juliet—but she dodges just in time.
Nahru: "Wait… there are two masked guys here?! But how…?"
Damian: "Not so fast…" he yells, dashing in to fight alongside Juliet.
But then—another masked figure creeps up behind Damian , ready to stab.
Isobel sees it and pushes Damian aside—taking the blow herself. A sword pierces her back.
Strangely, there's no injury , no blood—but it hurts.
"ISOBEL!" everyone screams.
The attacker vanishes, taking Isobel with him.
Silence falls. Everyone stands frozen, trying to process what just happened.
A note appears on the ground.
Juliet picks it up and reads aloud:
"Bring all the scrolls to the Mid Forest by tomorrow if you want her back…"
Nahru: "What should we do now?... Isobel…"
Ryan, guilt heavy in his voice: "This all happened because we underestimated our enemy…"
Damian: "I need time to think…"
Meanwhile – Isobel in an old house...
Isobel wakes up.
"Where am I…?"She tries to get up but collapses—severely injured.
"What's happening inside my body…?"she groans, breathing heavily.
She struggles to sit again...
"There's no point in trying to escape…" says someone.
She turns her head. It's the masked guy, standing beside two identical-looking girls, but with different colored hair.
Twin 1: "I'm Nancy, and she's my sister Zoey."
Isobel stares in confusion.
Zoey: "Aww, confused little girl. Let me explain. Wondering how there were three of that mask guy? Because of us. Me and my sister can change into anyone… that's our power. And wondering how we knew you guys had the scroll…? Remember playing with a baby?"
Isobel's eyes widen in realization.
Nancy: "We turned into him and distracted your friend... So the mask guy could take one of you as a hostage. That way, we could get all the scrolls from your team. But... unfortunately, you got caught."
Zoey: "Aww, you're so pretty. I feel bad for you…"
Nancy turned to the masked guy. "Especially for you. You didn't want to take a girl as a hostage. But look…"
Mask guy: "Your work is done. Now get lost."
Zoey: "Yes, sir. As you wish "
Nancy: "Yes, yes—we're going, sir. Don't do anything dirty with that girl…"
The masked man glares at them.
They laugh and leave.
Isobel, still lying in pain, doesn't know what to do. She watches the masked man silently.
He goes and sits far away.
She feels relieved for a moment.
Her pain worsens. Blood starts coming from her mouth.
"Wait till tomorrow," says the masked guy.
Isobel passes out.
Midnight...
Isobel wakes from the pain—but is shocked.
A boy sits in the room. He has dark blue hair and deep, unreadable eyes. The moonlight from the broken window makes his face clearly visible.
"Who is he…?" Isobel wonders.
He's holding something small in his hand—she tries to look, but fails.
Then, a tear rolls down his cheek.
"Is he… crying?" she thinks.
She passes out again.
The next morning...
Isobel slowly wakes up. The mask guy is sleeping.
She sees an opportunity and tries to escape. She gets up—but collapses immediately.
He wakes up.
"Stop trying to escape and just lay down…" he says.
Isobel: "Ah… so you got all the scrolls from my friends…" she says, breathing heavily.
He doesn't reply.
Time passes...
He gets up.
"It's time," he says.
He walks over to her, grabs her—and punches her in the stomach.
"AHHHHH!" Isobel screams in agony.
Her injuries flare up even more.
She is barely conscious.
"Sorry… I have to do this so you don't try to run away," he says and walks out.
Meanwhile – At the base...
Damian: "Let's go."
Ryan: "There's no other choice…"
They're ready to hand over all the scrolls… because there's nothing else they can do.
Meanwhile – Shadow in his room...
"What a lottery I got… It's a lucky day," Shadow says, laughing maniacally
