"Are you regretting being my woman?" Matt asked with a blank expression but Zoe knew that it was all a pretense from him, any wrong word or expression from her would mean trouble for her.
" No, besides, you know I have no choice in this matter, so why are you bringing it up?" Zoe asked, she knew she was angry already but she has to control it after all if she says any wrong word because of this anger it would land her into trouble.
She can still remember what happened when she proposed a breakup, he dragged her to the punishment hall he created specially for her, he tortured her until she broke, until she relented, until...
She does not want to remember that unpleasant
memory that is still haunting her.
She would not dare bring up the topic again either on this life or the next after the punishment she received the previous time .
Just then Zoe stood up," I better get going" Zoe said as she made way to leave.
Though, another person might think that she is doing this to get the deal over with but Matt knows that she is doing this to avoid both him and the topic they were discussing but he did not say anything, he chuckled inwardly because he knows that no matter how hard she tries to leave him or how bad she wants to leave him she can not say anything because of the punishment.
" Hmm...make sure you get the job, hon," Matt said but it sounded more like an order than a sentence.
"Okay" Zoe replied, for some reasons, she felt irked when she heard him calling her hon.
She does not understand her feelings anymore

Previously she used to think that she loved him, in fact she still think so too, however, she is not as sure as she was before. On her first meeting with Phil, she felt connected to him like they were meant to be together but she just pushed that thought aside because she can not be with him. He is Matt's enemy and she is Matt's fiance, besides, she is so damn sure that Matt would not let her go so easily, he would definitely hunt her down, punish her and guess what?
She will still have to marry him, it is just that this time, he would not care about how she feels about their marriage, it is not like he cares but there is a difference here.
In addition she will lose her freedom totally because she is sure that Matt will lock her up until she gets the fact that she is his woman straight to her head, it's not like he has not done it before, and even when she does he's movements will be restricted because she will need to uphold her dignity as the Young Miss of the Wellingtons'. Not just because she got married into the Wellingtons' but because Matt would not want her to flee with someone else next time. She is so sure that Matt would pour his seeds into her with the hopes of making her carry his babies, though, he hates the sound of them but that is the only way capable of tying her to him. She is not ready to be a mother yet so she has to stick to him, at least for now until she figures out what to do.
Zoe arrived at Moon Styles Café within ten minutes, she saw Phil seating beside the window, she walked in and went to join him.
"Hey Phil, I'm sorry for keeping you waiting" Zoe greeted.
"No, it's okay, I haven't been here for so long" Phil replied but Zoe knew he was lying she could tell it was one of the skills she honed apart from her listening skills after many years of training.
She replied by smiling, she did not want the air around them to be awkward so she did not reply and she simply changed the topic.
"Uh, I've sent my resume, have you seen it? What did you think about it?" Zoe asked Phil hoping to hear his comments, funnily enough, it is a fake report she designed.
"I think, you're talented, Bianca" Phil replied, he was amazed when he read her résumé he could not believe that he was in love with an awesome and talented person.
"Thanks, your opinion about my résumé really matters to me" Zoe flashed a bright smile.
"You are welcome, you can resume work next week Monday, instructions will be given to my secretaries, but, do you want to stay in my office or you want to have an office of your own" Phil asked as he really wanted to spend every moment with her if he had the chance he will lock her up.
He is scared that someone will snatch her away but he knows that his train of thought is really strange and weird because they are not even officially friends and he cannot afford to scare her away before she develops feelings for him.
"Sure, I could make use of your office too, that is, if you don't mind us sharing one office together" Zoe replied she wanted to get close to Phil as fast as possible so she decided to make use of the opportunity.
"Okay, I'll arrange for you to have your desk in my office" Phil said as he revealed a grin.
"So what would you like to have" Phil asked, as he wanted to make an order
"I'm so sorry, I can't, I need to go, my sister will feel really lonely if I wait here for long" Zoe replied faking a sad face.
Phil nodded in understanding, he could not expect her to leave her sister indoor while talking to him, "Okay, so I guess I'll see you on Monday"
"I'll get going now," Zoe said as she stood up ready to leave.
"Should I drop you off" Phil stood up right after his word
"Uh, if you don't mind",
"Sure I don't mind dropping you off" Phil said as they walked to the parking lot. On getting to the parking lot, Phil opened the passenger's sit for Zoe while he sat on the driver's sit.
After ten minutes, Phil dropped Zoe off right in front of her apartment before zooming off in his car
Zoe entered her apartment just to see Matt sitting majestically on the sofa in the sitting room. She rolled her eyes whilst feeling his aura though his presence intimidates her. His presence still irked her.
