Chapter 29 - Our New Beginning.

- Her words, so simple yet so profound, echoed in the chambers of my mind.

- "Leon, there is something I have to tell you." Her voice, usually so vibrant and full of life, was now a mere whisper, a fragile melody in the vast silence.

- I looked at her, a genuine confusion clouding my features.

- "What is it?" I asked, my voice a soft murmur, afraid to break the delicate tension that had enveloped us.

- "I've always hidden my true feelings behind a smile," she confessed, her eyes, usually a sparkling pool of warmth, now held a deep, heavy seriousness.

- "I pretended everything was fine, in front of my family, our friends, and especially you Leon. But I can't anymore. I have to tell you how I truly feel."

- I felt a knot tighten in my stomach, a premonition of something significant about to unfold.

- Her words were a torrent, a dam breaking after years of being held back.

- "Leon, I love you."

- The world seemed to tilt on its axis. I was frozen, a statue carved out of ice, hearing her words.

- Her confession, a raw, unfiltered outpouring of her heart, had left me speechless.

- "I know you always tried to keep a distance," she continued, a tear escaping the corner of her eye.

- "But I always saw the apology in your eyes every time you did. I was so scared to tell you because I thought you hated me. I thought my feelings were a burden. But tonight, when you told me you didn't hate me, it was like the whole universe gave me permission. This is the only chance I'll ever have to tell you, and I can't let it go."

- My mind was a mess, a whirlwind of emotions—shock, disbelief, and a flicker of something I dared not name.

- I looked at her, my mouth agape, unable to form a single coherent thought, let alone a word. My words, usually a faithful servant to my thoughts, had betrayed me, refusing to come out.

- Finally, after what felt like an eternity, I managed to force some words out. "Rose... I don't hate you. I never did. I pushed you away because... because I was afraid of this."

- I reached out, my hand trembling, and gently took hers, the touch sending a jolt of electricity through me.

- The city lights seemed to blur, the moon a distant memory. - All that mattered was the girl in front of me, her confession, and the silent, overwhelming truth that had just been revealed.

- Even if it is a bad thing, I couldn't stop. I found myself drawn to her, pulled by an invisible force I couldn't comprehend.

- Rose is not a character in a game now but a girl, a human girl wanting to express her feelings to the one she loves. And I am that one.

- I thought for a moment, a whirlwind of emotions and memories flashing through my mind.

- I shifted my attention to her, my gaze softening as I took in the sight of her face.

- Her beautiful, honey-colored eyes, usually so full of life and fire, were now brimming with tears that threatened to spill over at any moment.

- Seeing her like this, so vulnerable and raw, a pang of sorrow shot through my chest. Without a second thought, I gave her a hug.

- My embrace was meant to comfort, to tell her without words that I was here, that she wasn't alone.

- But as I held her close, I felt her whole body tremble. Her eyes widened in surprise, and in an instant, she hugged me back, her arms wrapping around me tightly. The desperation in her hold was palpable, as if she was afraid that if she let go, I would disappear.

- Her tears, still flowing, were no longer from sadness. They were tears of pure, unadulterated happiness.

- I held her for what felt like an eternity, her soft sobs eventually subsiding into quiet sniffles. We stayed that way, wrapped in each other's arms, the world outside fading away until it was just the two of us.

- "I'm so sorry," she whispered, her voice muffled against my chest. "I'm just... so happy."

- "You don't need to apologise," I murmured, my hand gently stroking her hair. "Never apologise for being happy."

- After what seemed like an eternity, we finally broke apart. She looked at me, her honey-colored eyes now glistening with a mix of tears and a brilliant, hopeful light.

- The unspoken words hung in the air between us, a silent symphony of emotions. The world seemed to hold its breath as we gazed into each other's souls.

- Slowly, I reached out and cupped her face in my hands, my thumbs gently wiping away the last of her tears.

- Her breath hitched, and a faint blush colored her cheeks. Our eyes locked, and in that moment, I knew. I leaned in, our lips meeting in a soft, tender kiss.

- It was not a kiss of passion, but of promise. A promise of a future together, a promise to cherish her, to protect her, and to love her with every fiber of my being.

- It was the beginning of our story, a story that was finally real not one I had to follow.

- After that moment, I leaned back my head from hers and gave her soft smile as her face was completely red from before.

- " Don't worry, from now on I will always be there for you, Rose." Leon.

- After that, with our hearts feeling full and our minds buzzing with the promise of what was to come, we walked hand-in-hand back to our dorms, the quiet evening air a silent witness to our new beginning. :)
