Wand!!
Henry's eyes lit up.
He had been locked in this cell for so long, but he had never seen this young man before.
Moreover, the stranger hadn't brought one with him either.
He must be the rescue sent by the wizards!!
Henry said excitedly, "Where are the others? Have the wizards already broken in?!"
At those words,
Ethan paused to think for a moment, then shook his head and replied, "No. I'm the only one who was teleported here."
The other students should have been sent to the opposite side by that silver key.
Professor Lupin and Professor Snape were both skilled fighters.
He could trust them to handle the students without worry.
As he spoke,
Ethan glanced around curiously, his relaxed and easygoing manner making it seem like he was wandering through his own backyard.
Every now and then, he let out a murmur of appreciation.
"Geometric arrangement... Hmm, very neat—it really highlights the beauty of mathematics and shapes."
Henry:
His smile froze.
He stared at Ethan in astonishment.
Buddy, you're actually admiring this place?!
In that brief instant,
His impression of the young man shifted from savior to deranged lunatic.
Moreover,
"Only you?" Henry cried out, feeling his heart sink into the pit of his stomach. "How exactly did you get here? Who sent you?"
Ethan turned his head.
Looking at the red-haired guy he'd casually rescued—who reminded him of an orangutan—he answered honestly:
"Hmm, I just Apparated here. I came on my own."
Henry's face, along with those of the other prisoners, instantly turned ashen.
To their ears, those words meant that a reckless, half-grown kid had barged alone into the goblin stronghold, basically serving himself up on a platter.
One person against an entire nest of goblins?
He had to be insane!!!
There was no chance of winning at all!!
Just then,
"Damn it! Where did you come from?!"
The goblin guard scrambled angrily to his feet.
He yanked a whistle from his pocket and blew into it with all his might!
"Whoosh—!"
A sharp, piercing whistle echoed instantly throughout the entire underground dungeon!
From the tunnels on all sides,
Chaotic footsteps immediately thundered in response!
Oh no! He's called all the guards!!
Ethan nodded in satisfaction: "Good. Saves me the trouble of hunting them down."
The little monsters are even gathering themselves. Excellent.
Henry:
What the hell kind of "others' fear is my excitement" attitude is this?!
He stared dumbfounded at the calm and composed Ethan.
He felt that beneath that handsome exterior
lurked a new species utterly incomprehensible to humans!
Seeing the goblins already starting to "hehe" as they surrounded them,
Henry said urgently, "Quick! Do you know Alohomora or any cutting spells? Hurry and unlock these for me!"
"Then give me your wand!"
Let me fight them!!
Ethan: ?
Ethan said mildly, "Get lost, you idiot."
As he spoke, he waved his wand lightly.
And sent the noisy red-haired guy tumbling to the ground.
Annoying.
With that red hair and freckles, is he a Weasley?
That would explain it.
Henry: ???
He looked up sharply from the ground.
However,
Before he could speak again,
The goblin who had blown the whistle had already pulled an axe from behind his back.
Runes were etched into it, powered by magic.
A dangerous red light gleamed along its edge.
It could slice through magical barriers with ease and carve through flesh and bone like a hot knife through butter.
The goblin glared at Ethan, sneering viciously:
"Die, you fool."
The next second,
With a sharp whooshing sound, the heavy axe flew from his hand!
Spinning through the air, it hurtled toward Ethan!!
"Ah!"
Henry instinctively squeezed his eyes shut.
He couldn't bear to watch this eccentric "young master" get cleaved in two.
"—Ah!!!"
A scream rang out.
But it was deep and hoarse, coming from ahead.
A drop of hot liquid splashed onto Henry's face.
Henry opened his eyes.
What he saw was a scene he would never forget for the rest of his life.
The goblin's body lay limp on the ground, neatly bisected at the waist.
Its muscles were still twitching uncontrollably.
Like a fish on a chopping block.
Its eyes bulged wide, staring incredulously at Ethan before it.
As if it had witnessed something beyond all understanding.
From its mouth came its final words:
"Impossible... How could you... control a goblin's axe..."
The goblin battle-axe, which had been meant to strike Ethan, was now embedded in the ground behind the goblin.
As the words faded,
The goblin breathed its last.
Dying with eyes wide open.
Time seemed to freeze.
Henry stared blankly at the scene.
Splashes of crimson blood dotted the pale face of the black-haired youth,
Making that pure and innocent smile seem somehow warped and terrifying.
Ethan raised his hand.
Red magic swirled around it.
The goblin battle-axe not far away trembled.
Obediently, it rose into the air and flew into Ethan's grasp.
"It's simple, really. Just tune the magic to match the goblin's frequency."
Ethan murmured.
These self-righteous modern folk had long since cracked all the goblins' alchemical weapons!
Then,
Under countless stunned gazes,
Ethan turned to face the goblin guards roaring and surging toward them.
A card appeared in his hand.
"Roar—!!!"
An earth-shattering bellow!
A massive shadow suddenly loomed over the goblins' heads!
Goblins: "Kill them—Ah??!"
They skidded to an abrupt halt.
Terrified, they looked up at the three colossal heads, each as large as a carriage canopy, hovering above them.
Their dark manes flowed like rolling flames, and their six orange-yellow eyes gleamed like lanterns.
Each fang was as sharp as a dagger.
They stared down at them, hungry and bloodthirsty.
What in the world is this?
The goblins froze in place.
A chill raced from their feet to the tops of their heads,
Instantly snuffing out their arrogance.
From behind this terrifying three-headed beast, a blood-smeared face emerged.
Cobalt-blue eyes, clear as water, sparkled like a galaxy.
Ethan gazed at the now-silent goblins, his lips slowly curling into a grin.
He asked cheerfully:
"Little goblin, do I look more like a human or a demon?"
Immediately after,
Screams erupted one after another.
Blood soaked the ground. But this time,
It was the goblins' own blood staining the dungeon they had once used to imprison and dominate others.
[You have killed all Goblin guards!]
[Affected by the skill "Fear Harvest," you absorbed a large amount of magic.]
[You obtained item: Goblin Fortress Map!]
"Clatter."
Leather boots stepped over mangled flesh.
Ethan bent down and picked up a parchment scroll from the blood-soaked guard uniform.
It detailed the fortress's layout with precision.
A route leading to the underground [Furnace] was marked in red ink.
It seemed that
The Furnace not only smelted minerals but also drew power from flesh and life.
It supplied energy ceaselessly to this massive, living fortress, day and night.
A complete fortress design plan. Ethan's eyes gleamed.
A spark of inspiration flickered faintly in his mind.
He memorized the route, cast a Cleaning Charm on the bloodstained map, and then tucked it contentedly into his robes.
With the skill Fear Harvest,
Ethan's magic reserves were still plentiful.
Enough to handle a major battle.
Just as Ethan was about to follow the route to the underground Furnace,
A trembling voice suddenly sounded from behind him:
"You, who exactly are you...?"
Ethan turned around.
He saw the red-haired youth rooted to the spot, and the prisoners who had already huddled together in terror.
Before Ethan could reply,
Henry stumbled forward, his steps uneven, as if in a trance.
He muttered:
"I was such a fool, truly."
"I only knew he could break through layers of wards and appear in the goblin fortress without detection."
"But I never imagined he could single-handedly slaughter the goblins like that!"
With a thud,
Henry's knees buckled, and he dropped straight to the ground before Ethan!
He clutched Ethan's leg with his right hand, shouting emotionally:
"Dad!"
