Chapter 388 - Chapter 388: The Overthinking Minister of Magic! A Question from Ravenclaw: Can a "God" Bleed?

"...A Dark wizard attack? Merlin! I didn't mishear that, did I? This is the Ministry of Magic!"

"It's as absurd as Dark wizards breaking into Hogwarts—which, of course, is impossible."

"Why would Harry know about this? The Department of Mysteries? What exactly is going on?!"

Then came a desperate, tearful cry: "I knew it! With Ethan around, how could there not be a disaster! Boohoo..."

Up in the viewing gallery, Ron, the Weasley twins, and Ginny's expressions changed drastically. They exchanged shocked glances, raw anxiety surfacing on their faces.

They had heard it loud and clear: the person who had been attacked was their father! Hermione was the first to react. Her face turned pale as she muttered rapidly under her breath:

"The Department of Mysteries... The Dark wizards aren't aiming for us; they're after the 'weapon' hidden in the Department of Mysteries! They'd even force their way in to get it!"

"Harry mentioned a 'prophecy', but what use is that..."

Down in the courtroom, it was pure chaos.

Even Minister Scrimgeour himself was utterly astounded, completely failing to organize the Aurors to maintain order.

—How could Dark wizards possibly break into the Ministry of Magic?

He had personally overseen the incredibly strict security deployments...

And during a crucial trial, no less!

This was a devastating blow to the Ministry's credibility!

This absolutely could not be a coincidence. There was only one logical explanation for all of this—

"Minister Scrimgeour, what are you zoning out for?"

A crisp, clear voice yanked Scrimgeour back to his senses.

He shuddered violently, shooting a deep, penetrating look at Ethan, who had just spoken. Raising his wand to his throat, Scrimgeour's magically amplified voice roared through the room:

"QUIET—!!!"

"Aurors, proceed immediately to the Department of Mysteries and verify if what our Savior, Harry Potter, says is true!"

Receiving their orders, the Aurors hurriedly sprang into action.

The chaos in the courtroom subsided slightly.

Minister Scrimgeour froze in place, his face an unprecedented shade of ashen grey!

...The only answer that could explain all of this was that someone had orchestrated this attack on the Ministry in advance!

And that person had to be the one who stood to benefit the most from this chaos—

Ethan Vincent!

Minister Scrimgeour's eyes burned like torches. Clenching his fists, he stared fixedly at the calm, dark-haired boy. Suddenly, the boy's figure seemed entirely unfathomable to him.

To be able to plan this far ahead... truly formidable, this brat.Of course, it couldn't be a coincidence. Scrimgeour scoffed inwardly; he wasn't an idiot.

On the other side of the room.

"What a coincidence," Ethan murmured softly.

His ears twitched slightly, catching the faint, hoarse panting from the floor above. Glancing up, a spreading bloodstain slowly appeared in his mind's eye. And there, weaving through the chaotic flurry of magic, was a fleeting, serpentine silhouette.

—Voldemort's most trusted partner, the former Maledictus, and one of his Horcruxes: the viper, Nagini!

What a coincidence that the Dark wizards attacked the Ministry and severely injured Arthur on the very night of my trial, Ethan thought, nodding to himself. True, all the security was concentrated down here in the Wizengamot courtroom on the tenth basement level tonight, significantly reducing patrols on the upper floors. It's the perfect time to stage an invasion. However, this Ministry of Magic was just pathetic~

Not only had it been infiltrated like a sieve in the original canon, but even now, they had let the Dark wizards succeed right under their noses.

Ethan pondered: Just like in the original story, what the Reaper wants is the prophecy sphere sealed within the Department of Mysteries. But unlike Voldemort, who just wanted to take a peek out of sheer boredom, I'm afraid He truly possesses the ability to alter future and destiny through these prophecies! As he thought about this, Ethan's eyes darkened.

This kind of power far exceeded the magical world's understanding. If the Reaper succeeded, the consequences would be unimaginable!

"...Interesting."

Ethan's eyes lit up, the corners of his mouth curling upward to reveal a very genuine, thrilling excitement!

"Will this be a frontal clash between me and the Reaper? Hehehe, I'm really looking forward to it~"

The Reaper's power seemed formidable, but paradoxically, this whole scheme exposed that He wasn't entirely omnipotent.

Even if He forcefully interfered with the mortal realm, He couldn't just directly obliterate him. He needed to rely on a prophecy to maneuver indirectly.

"Now that I know His goal, I just need to set the stage and wait for Him to fall into my trap."

Ethan's gaze shifted slightly, landing on a familiar figure up in the gallery.

—The original Savior of the magical world, Harry Potter.

At this moment, the Savior, who was currently the subject of the crowd's frantic whispers, was slumped weakly on the ground. His face was a twisted mask of pain and anxiety.

"...Little Harry, oh little Harry, I really taught you in vain," Ethan drawled slowly to himself.

"If the Reaper, fused with Voldemort, can still invade your mind and force illusions upon you, it just proves that your Occlumency is nowhere near up to par."

No matter.

It was only half a term; they still had plenty of time to "happily" learn together.

Ethan considered himself a very gentle person; he never subscribed to Professor Snape's draconian teaching methods. After all, look at the original story: Snape basically gave Harry PTSD, and the boy still hadn't learned Occlumency.

Ethan would use the gentlest, most highly efficient methods to kindly guide Harry.

"Hehehe~"

Just thinking about their upcoming lessons made Ethan chuckle out loud.

The sound caused the Auror standing guard beside him to shoot him a terrified sideways glance, subconsciously raising his wand.

...It was just professional instinct, Ethan couldn't blame him.

Besides teaching Harry Occlumency, Ethan had another brilliant idea.

"Influence goes both ways. Next time, could we let Harry influence the Reaper instead?"

It was definitely worth researching.

Just as Ethan was indulging in thoughts that absolutely warranted a stint in Azkaban, a deafening clamor erupted from the courtroom entrance!

"Weasley—Mr. Weasley is severely injured!!"

A blood-soaked Auror sprinted into the room, coming to a halt right in front of Minister Scrimgeour. He spoke in a rapid, breathless rush:

"Mr. Weasley indeed collapsed in the Department of Mysteries! We don't know why he went down there... but the situation is critical! We must send him to St Mungo's immediately—"

"What happened to my dad?!"

Fred and George charged over like two rogue Bludgers, grabbing the Auror by the shoulders and yelling their demands. Those two identical faces, usually so full of joy and wicked pranks, were now twisted with unprecedented panic and dread.

The Auror didn't answer right away; instead, a deeply troubled look crossed his face.

That look alone answered everything.

Ginny, who had chased right after her brothers, instantly turned ashen. Her body went completely rigid as raw terror spilled into her eyes.

Minister Scrimgeour's expression was just as ugly.

A Dark wizard attack inside the Ministry was already a colossal disgrace. If a Ministry employee actually died on his watch, the situation would be utterly unsalvageable.

He rapidly barked out orders: "Have the portraits notify St Mungo's immediately! Tell the Healers to prepare! Take Mr. Weasley to the emergency response team and transport him directly via Portkey—"

"No need for all that trouble."

Ethan's clear voice cut through the panic like a cool stream dousing a raging fire.

Instantly, every single pair of eyes in the room snapped toward him!

The chaotic noise instinctively died down.

Bathing in their unconsciously expectant gazes, Ethan spoke:

"Bring Mr. Weasley here."

"I will heal him."
