Ziyue saw the strike and moved at the same time she would have earlier, but the expanding reach covered space that had previously been safe. She twisted under the center of the blow, and the outer pressure still caught her side and drove her several steps away.
Haotian corrected his own distance immediately.
The Demon God was still growing.
Another wave of essence entered.
Its height increased visibly now, the legs lengthening beneath the heavier torso while the shoulders rose above the level Haotian had been reading throughout the previous fight. The expansion added mass without slowing the circulation. If anything, the renewed energy made each movement cleaner as damaged Immortal Emperor pathways refilled and the sacrificial power braced fractures that had previously interfered with them.
The old scar stretched across the growing chest.
Abyssal essence flooded the wound faster than the expanding tissue could pull it apart, layering itself over the tear until the dark blood almost stopped. From outside, the injury looked as though it were healing beneath the sacrifice.
Haotian saw otherwise.
The broken spiritual structures remained underneath.
The damaged pathways surrounding the demon core were still cracked.
Alter's crimson lightning remained threaded through the old Sky Piercer route.
The sacrifice had packed power around the damage so densely that the fractures could no longer shift easily, but none of the relationships inside them had returned to their original state.
Lianhua moved near enough to Haotian during the next exchange to see where his attention remained. "Is the wound healing?"
"No." Haotian slipped outside the Demon God's enlarged reach as another hand came down through the space he had occupied. "It's forcing the damage together with the energy it's taking from them."
Lianhua looked once toward the dark layer covering the scar and returned to the fight.
The Demon God's next step drove a crater into the ground. Its larger body crossed more distance without requiring a greater number of movements, and the higher mass behind the strike that followed turned the pressure around its fist into a broad wave before the hand reached Haotian. He shifted with Cloud-Sundering Steps, but the widened attack still reached the edge of his guard.
Haotian turned with it.
The blow threw him farther than before.
He landed near Yinxue, who had already moved away from the Demon God's new line rather than standing where Haotian's body might collide with her. Haotian used the landing to change direction and returned while the Demon God's attention moved toward Xiangyin.
Its foot came down near her spear.
Xiangyin withdrew the weapon before the enlarged leg could trap the head beneath it, but the Demon God changed the step into a kick and sent a wall of pressure across the ground. Xiangyin rotated the spear instead of bracing it, letting the shaft guide part of the force away from her torso while Yanfei hardened the ground behind her next step.
The pressure still drove Xiangyin backward.
She landed on Yanfei's prepared surface and used the stable footing to keep her damaged palms from tightening reflexively around the spear.
Yanfei moved immediately after. Frostfire rose around the Demon God's lower leg and climbed toward the knee, contracting the outer protection before heat followed through the same path. The larger body gave her more surface to attack, but the sacrificial reinforcement gave the Demon God more power with which to answer.
It stepped through the Frostfire.
The technique broke around the leg before the alternating temperatures could penetrate deeply enough to matter.

The increased reach and mass changed the geometry of the response. The defensive pulse filled enough of the nearby battlefield that all three women had to change direction at once. Lianhua cleared most of it, Ziyue crossed the sword in front of her body and allowed the remaining pressure to carry her outward, and Yinxue stayed farther away and yielded before the Dao collision could travel fully through her injured arm.
Yueru used the disruption to approach the chest.
Lightning gathered along the blade.
The Demon God turned toward her immediately.
Its body had grown large enough that the movement of one shoulder alone covered more of the scar than its entire earlier guard. Abyssal essence rushed toward the chest and built another layer over the old wound while the Demon God reached for her with an arm that now extended much farther than before.
Yueru stopped outside the hand and changed direction.
The Demon God followed.
Ziyue intercepted from the side with a narrowed Severing Arc. The elemental edge struck the enlarged forearm and opened a shallow wound through the outer reinforcement before the Demon God could fully redirect power there. The injury bled once before sacrificial essence filled it and slowed the flow almost immediately.

The technique fractured a section of defense near the elbow, and Fist of Ruin followed against the same region before the Demon God could restore it. The top of its body rose farther above them, the shoulders broad enough now that the scar stretched across a chest substantially wider than when the battle began. Each arm carried greater mass, and the lengthening legs changed the distances Xiangyin and Yanfei had been using to anticipate its steps.
The spearwoman adjusted first. Instead of placing the spearhead where the foot itself would land, Xiangyin began threatening the path of the knee and hip so the larger stride could not simply step beyond the weapon. Yanfei changed with her, abandoning some of the shorter Frostfire placements she had used earlier and preparing farther landing points instead.
The Demon God saw the adjustment.
Its next step shortened deliberately.
Xiangyin's spear passed beyond the leg.
Yanfei's altered ground waited too far ahead.
The Demon God struck downward between them.
The impact shattered the stone and sent both women in different directions before their techniques could recover.
Haotian moved toward Yanfei's side while Lianhua moved toward Xiangyin's. Haotian caught the edge of another strike before it reached Yanfei and redirected enough of the force that she could leave the line. The Demon God's larger hand still clipped his forearm as he withdrew, sending numbness through fingers already affected by repeated impacts.
Lianhua reached Xiangyin at nearly the same time and used Voidpierce Sword Sutra against the Demon God's approaching arm. The spatial edge cut the outer reinforcement and forced the limb to change angle, giving Xiangyin enough room to regain the spear.
The Demon God turned between them.

The larger frame accelerated under the same Immortal Emperor cultivation, and the added sacrificial energy allowed the body to carry its increased mass without the delay Haotian might have expected from ordinary physical growth. The Demon God caught her blade with one enlarged hand.
Ziyue released before the grip could trap her wrist and drove a kick against the forearm, using the contact to throw herself away. The sword remained in the Demon God's hand for only an instant before Yinxue's Sword Dao struck the fingers and forced the grip to loosen.
Ziyue recovered the falling weapon with her other hand and changed grips once she was outside reach.

Voidpierce Sword Sutra drove toward the shoulder.
Xiangyin's spear came low while Yanfei sent Frostfire across the opposite leg.

The Demon God answered all of them with a single step and turn. Its foot crushed Yanfei's altered ground before the Frostfire could deepen, the movement carried the leg beyond Xiangyin's spear line, and the shoulder turned enough to push Lianhua's blade away from the angle she wanted. The enlarged forearm crossed the chest before Haotian could reach the scar.

The Demon God's other hand came down toward him.
Haotian shifted through several false continuations, but the Demon God's perception corrected quickly enough for the larger hand to reach him. He crossed both forearms, took the impact, and was driven into the ground hard enough to break stone beneath his back before rolling away from the next descending strike.
Heaven-Piercer Step carried him out from beneath the enlarged reach just as the Demon God's palm hit the ground and shattered the area where he had landed.

Across the stronghold, the remaining demonic signatures were disappearing rapidly now. Whole groups vanished from the Eyes of the Universe as their cores collapsed and their essence joined the streams converging on the Demon God. The surviving army was no longer an army in any meaningful sense; each remaining demon existed only until the sacrificial relationship reached deeply enough to tear out whatever power remained.
The coalition farther from the battlefield could do little to stop it. Killing the demons first only released the same essence into a network already drawing everything toward the Demon God, while breaking isolated currents did nothing to sever the larger relationship spanning the stronghold.
Haotian saw the final clusters being consumed.

The release was not merely a defensive pulse. The sacrificial essence surrounding the Demon God moved with it, forming a thick expanding pressure that struck their techniques before they reached the body. Lianhua's spatial edge broke apart against the wave, Yinxue's Sword Dao folded backward under the heavier pressure, Ziyue's Severing Arc cut partway into the expansion before losing cohesion, and Xiangyin pulled the spear away rather than let the force travel into her palms. Yanfei's Frostfire shattered across the ground, Yueru's Lightning scattered through the dark current before reaching the scar, and Haotian remained closest long enough to take the main pressure against his guard.
The force lifted him from the ground.
He crossed dozens of paces before landing, hit once, rolled, and drove one hand into the stone to stop himself before the momentum carried him farther. His forearms burned from wrist to elbow, and the injured ribs tightened under the force of his breathing as he rose.

The body had grown substantially beyond the size it possessed when the battle began. Its shoulders were broad enough to change the space around every arm movement, its reach had lengthened, and the heavier torso carried enough mass that each step would now bring far more physical force even before cultivation entered the strike.
The outer Sky Piercer wound was no longer visibly open.
Sacrificial Abyssal power covered the scar in a dense dark layer and held the torn tissue together beneath it. Only Haotian's Eyes of the Universe showed what remained hidden below: cracked spiritual structures, damaged pathways surrounding the demon core, and the thin crimson lightning Alter had left burning through the old wound.
The Demon God lowered its arms.
No demonic presences remained in the stronghold.
Everything that had survived the coalition assault had been consumed.
The pressure around the Demon God settled into its enlarged body. Its cultivation had not crossed into the True God Realm. The active core, meridians, and Dao circulation still belonged to an initial Immortal Emperor, but the depleted reserves from the prolonged fighting had been replenished, the damaged former True God pathways had been braced by sacrificial essence, and the larger body could carry more force through every movement without waiting for the underlying injuries to heal.
Lianhua rose from where the expanding pressure had thrown her and looked toward the Demon God's chest. "It used all of them for this."
Haotian followed the last sacrificial currents as they disappeared into the damaged foundation. "Every one that was left."

The Demon God had not finished the next step when Haotian began pushing himself free. Haotian moved inside the arc instead and drove Seraph Shatter Palm against the descending forearm, trying to change the direction before the enlarged limb settled behind its full weight. He let the force carry him, landed on the outer edge of one foot, and continued the movement instead of fighting the momentum while the Demon God followed with another step that crossed more ground than its earlier body ever could.

Voidpierce Sword Sutra drew a narrow spatial edge along her blade and cut toward the Demon God's extended arm rather than the chest. The Demon God turned the forearm into the attack, allowing the spatial edge to bite through the outer reinforcement while its other hand swept toward Lianhua's ribs.

Her footwork carried her beneath the first half of the sweep, but the enlarged reach extended farther through the turn and caught the edge of her sword before she cleared it. Lianhua let the blade rotate with the impact rather than resist, yet the force still drove through both arms and twisted her injured side hard enough to shorten her breath.

Several sword-pressure lines converged along the shoulder and upper back, not attempting to crush the stronger Dao directly but forcing the Demon God to divide its attention between different angles. Yanfei had already sent Frostfire into the landing point, contracting the stone beneath the heel just before heat expanded through the same fractures. The Demon God did not allow its full weight to settle and struck downward with Abyssal power first, pulverizing the altered surface and creating a stable crater beneath the foot before the enlarged body descended.

Severing Arc narrowed tightly around her blade, Wind carrying the cut through the disturbed air around the Demon God's body while Metal strengthened the edge against the sacrificial reinforcement. Space narrowed along the blade, slipping through the outer protection before the Demon God could thicken it completely. The cut reached flesh and opened a line along the joint.
The Demon God responded with a short-range Abyssal palm.
Lianhua had seen the shoulder gather and withdrew before the palm reached her body, but the compressed dark force released from the hand and struck across the distance that remained. Her sword absorbed part of it.

Lianhua was thrown backward, and the injured ribs tightened so sharply when she landed that she stayed lower for a fraction longer before rising again.
Yinxue moved across the open side while the Demon God's attention followed Lianhua.
