On Kushina's third birthday, she was sat down in her room, as her grandfather walked towards her, "such chakra?, it's incredible, she's so young too, it always surprises me every time I see it", he muttered to himself before kneeling down before her.
"Sweetie, you're Grandpa Ashina wants you to go somewhere soon, just five years to prepare, so you have to train hard okay, over in Konoha, you're Grandma is nearing her end, she needs a strong and wise child to take her spot, can you do it?".
"Grandma is.., is she sick?".
"Something like that sweetie, she can train you herself when you go to see her, isn't that exciting?".
"Okay, I'll keep her company, but do I really need to leave, I don't want too".
"You do I'm afraid, we have made arrangements, that village wants you to be their weapon, but mark my words, I'll make you the strongest, so they don't dare to do anything to you".

Ashina felt his heart stinging, but he nodded anyway, and left the room for just Kushina to be alone.
Being left alone, she cuddled herself into a corner, while crying to herself.
Over the years however, she got out of the feeling of being forced to do something she didn't want to do.
Now at seven years old, just the right measurement for Hiruzen's expected age limit for brainwashing his targeted victims, he'd either send to the battlefield for himself or to work themselves to death for him in the village.
Due to his own impatience, he had given Danzo the go ahead, to tell the other villages of the Uzumaki being compromised, that their sealing dome had been destroyed from within, and it was time to act.
Inside the Uzumaki village, Kushina was learning the sealing arts of low level, meaning she was only learning how they work.
"If I do this, will there be a problem later?..", she murmured to herself as she started forming a sealing art, until she heard a loud thunderous blast, that rattled the entire village.
"What?..", falling to her knees, she looked around confused as to what just happened, soon after, several red haired people ran into her room, alongside the grey haired Ashina.
"Sweetie!, you need to come with me now!, it's not safe!, you!, pick her up quickly!, take her to the docks, put her on a ship and leave!".
"Wait!, what's happening?!, tell me what's going on?!", Ashina simply smiled and walked over to her and kissed her forehead, "just know, I'll always watch over you".
He turned and left, leaving five Uzumaki clansmen alone and a struggling and shocked Kushina.
"Let me go!, I said let..", one of the Uzumaki members knocked her unconscious, and next thing Kushina woke up too, was several looking men in black uniforms and green.
The two appeared to be arguing on who should take the girl, "enough!, lord Danzo will take her!, we brought her this far ourselves, damnit!..".
The captain of the Root, looked extremely angry under his mask, he looked at his fellow Root men and nodded.
"We can only silence you and take the girl back in secret, kill them!, for lord Danzo!".
"Raghh!".
Kushina had no idea what was happening, she looked around trying to find her people, weren't she supposed to be on a ship with her fellow people, why was she here with these strangers.
The Root had managed to kill everyone there, only two of them remained, until a streak of white slashed their necks.
Kushina saw their quick end, and she started backing away, when the person who just arrived started walking towards her.
"Stay away!, aghh!, stay away!".
"Ugh..", the man scratched his head and looked around while frowning, "I'm with Konoha, Lord Hokage has sent me here for a girl named Kushina, is that you by chance?..".
The white haired man just stood there watching the little girl backing away until she hit a tree.
"I'm gonna be honest with you, you're already in the land of fire, so it's best to answer me, once I leave, that's the end of it, you'll be all alone, do you want that, just tell me if your name is Kushina?".
Kushina's skin was white as snow, pale from all the blood everywhere, feeling an overwhelming pressure from all of it, she passed out.
Seeing this, the man felt his temples throbbing for a moment, "hah, screw it, judging how those guys were acting just now, she must be the target".
As he picked her up and left the area, in the distance, several women with red hair watched the entire thing, from start to finish, they heard that those men were all from Konoho.
Just a moment ago, those Konoha ninja had just slaughtered all their Uzumaki men, both old and young.
Feeling an intense rage, they decided to flee into some distant mountains, over the years, these women had kidnapped men in those mountains and eventually had children, all of which were girls, eventually they even moved to another area, very close to the Waterfall village.
Once Kushina was near the entrance of Konoha, she slowly woke up on the man's back, in her panic, she tried to forcibly shake away.
"Don't do that, we're going quite fast, you'll get injured if you fall, just relax, we're almost there anyway".
"Put me down!".
The white haired man completely ignored her and continued to run, eventually arriving in front of the gates.
Only to see Uzumaki Mito who was already standing in front of them, "Sakumo, give her to me".
"But, I'm supposed to take her straight to the Hokage..".

A violent aura spread throughout the area, Sakumo instantly caved in and nodded, then he ran away after handing her over, heading straight to see Hiruzen.
"I see, you did well in bringing her back safely, leave it be, Lady Mito will guide her anyway".

Once Sakumo left, Hiruzen looked gloomy, his failed preaching was close at hand, but Mito had snuffed the girl out first.
"Well played, well played indeed, it's a shame, but I can only wait until she enters the academy now".
Inside the Senju residence, after a few days, with only two people, and occasionally a blonde haired heavy drinker, Mito was steadily guiding Kushina.
"Yes, you must find love to handle the power of the tailed beast, only love can help you in taming the power of their malicious chakra".
"Find love?, but.., I'm so young, isn't that too soon?", Kushina's little face flushed from hearing this and Mito gave her strange face.
"What are you thinking!, I'm talking about love, not that!".
Seeing the girl flinching away from her, Mito's expression softened, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to yell, I can't help it when I'm always with that trouble maker, can you forgive me?".
With a gentle nod, Kushina sat obediently, no longer daring to anger her in the future, [that chakra was so scary just now, it was like a monster raging to be set free.]
A few more days of settling down inside the Senju residence, it was time for Kushina to enter the academy.
With reluctance, she eventually agreed and went to the place, "alright come in", standing outside of the classroom, Kushina with a shy expression, slowly walked in.
"Okay, go on, introduce yourself to the other's and tell them what your dream is".
"That hair is so weird, how did it get so red?", that's all she heard after walking inside the room.
Hearing this, Kushina looked around the classroom and yelled out in panic, while bowing slightly, "my name is Kushina Uzumaki, and I.., I will become this village's first female Hokage!".
Yes, Kushina wanted to be Hokage after learning about what the second and first had done, after hearing about their great deeds, her impression of the Hokage was a great and powerful figure, that inspired others from a fairytale.
Exactly, Kushina didn't really have any good feelings for the third, he had no outstanding glory to show for it, even after twenty years in office.
The classroom was silent for a moment, until a chorus of people started complaining to eachother, alongside a blonde haired kid standing up.
Kushina upon spotting the blondie, closed her eyes in response, [so bright, what the hell, why's his hair so shiny.]
"I also want to become a great Hokage, respected by all the villagers".
With a defiant face, Kushina just stared intently at him, [why's he smiling?, is he on those drugs sister Tsunade spoke about, I heard they smile when they start to see things.]
After the classes ended, she was surrounded by a group of young boys.
"hey!, from today, you'll be known as Tomato, with a fat round face and red hair, you're just like a tomato!, if you're a hated tomato, then there's no way that the people of the village will ever acknowledge you!, hahahaha!".
"Gugghh", Kushina trembled in rage, her face becoming redder by the second, and in the corner of her eye, she saw that blondie just staring at her.

And just after school, she was intercepted by one the older brothers of the person she beat up, that brother constantly grabbed her red hair as he fought against her.
In the end, hearing her speech of hating her own hair, he thought she was crazy, so he decided to just leave.
Just as the fight ended, she saw that blondie standing on a branch, just watching the entire thing like it was a great show.
Seeing this, Kushina yelled at him, "so, you won't help me, cause I'm an outsider?!..".

Eventually she ran away and arrived home, then cried herself bitterly in her room, "why, why did I have to have red hair?, I've already tried to make this place my home, and everyone hates me because of it, where's the hero that saves the one in distress".
Kushina had heard many stories over the days from Mito, that every Senju in their past was a hero that united everyone together, she too wanted a Senju to appear out of the sky, just like Hashirama did for her Grandma.
Over the days, she was looking through the Senju archives, and came across something strange, "what is this?, Kishirama?, the founder of the school and dissolution of the Senju?, has a weak body, but has chakra higher than a tailed beast?, impossible!, such a person couldn't survive with that much inside themselves without a second source to contain it safely".
"I see you're probing the Senju bloodline, care to tell me why?".
Kushina rapidly threw everything aside and stood up, Mito raised her eyebrows and saw a picture of Kishirama and her expression softened, though a slight mocking smile appeared on her face.
"Are you trying to search for a hero?, I'm sorry dear, but they won't be coming, only the females are alive now, the males all died in the line of duty".
"Impossible!, such a thing is impossible!, how can they all die under the watch of the third Hokage!".
Mito frowned upon hearing this, and she slowly walked over to her and knelt down, "you're smart, so when you think it through, you'll understand why, go get some sleep okay, I'll clean up the mess you made".
Kushina was about to ask why, but seeing Mito's flat face, she shrunk back and nodded, once she left, Mito picked up the Senju archives and stopped when she picked up the last one.
"If you brother's saw what has happened to your clan, would you be able to stay sane, I know you two won't, you'd probably wipe out everyone involved, even if those who weren't, you'd probably go after their entire family as well".
She stared intently at Tobirama and Kishirama's photos, both of them showing an arrogant and ruthless expression, while she was showing a thoughtful one herself.
With a sigh, she put them away, "I was so close, I almost killed Hiruzen, when I found out about my clans unfortunate accident".

Inside Kushina's room, she was rethinking about what Mito had just said, "think it through, is there someone behind it, but the only person who could do that..".
Yes, even now, Kushina believed in justice, a warrior strong enough to end all problems, she really did respect the Senju family.
When she was inside that room, she was indeed looking for someone from that clan, to find that warrior of justice, but she had just found out, that just a few years ago, Tsunade's brother had died, the last heir to the Senju clan.

Outside the room, at some point, Mito had intended to enter, but upon hearing this, she just muttered under her breath, "silly little girl".
Over the following year's, Kushina lived happily, until Mito had at some point told her about transferring the tailed beast.
At twelve years, just nearing her graduation and hearing this, she just stood at the door and saw Mito's weak hand reaching out for her.
"Silly girl, don't cry, I'm going to see my Hashirama, be strong little one, the fox inside me is just as pitiful as you, a caged bird, unable to truly fly, I'll be transferring him tomorrow my... Haaah..".
Mito had gone into a short sleep, unable to hold on much longer, the next day however, she was kidnapped by cloud ninja and saved by Minato.
After that was over, the transfer was a success, but after Mito passed on, Tsunade had left the village, barely even staying inside it now.
So Kushina was practically alone everyday, to grieve on her own and no shoulder to lean on.
Several years passed since then, now at sixteen years old, to mask up her sadness, she put on a fierce font, just like Tsunade had, to keep people away.
Each year started flying by quickly, until she eventually gave birth to Naruto and perished trying to save his life.
Even before her death, she still felt unwilling to be a caged bird and since she was already dying from the extraction of the tailed beast, she chose to sacrifice herself and be a hero she wanted to be.
Just as darkness took her vision, 'boom', her eyes shot open again, she could feel everything, the cold, yet warm air, the bindings of rope and a mischievous smile from a man, she had never seen before.
