Chapter 200 - Allen, the Professor Wants You to Work

Although Allen had been daydreaming about killing the boss, looting epic gear, gaining endless advantages, rising smoothly to the top, founding a guild, dominating the entire server, then marrying a rich and beautiful woman and reaching the peak of his dreams, his fantasy was suddenly shattered. It wasn't that Allen dared to complain, even though the person standing before him wasn't the God of Thunder, this matter right now was even scarier than the God of Thunder.

Dumbledore was kind and gentle. Even if a student messed up, he was willing to give them another chance, except for a certain guy named Tom Riddle.

Dumbledore had already taken down the first Dark Lord, almost killed the second, but he didn't have the energy left to deal with the third.

At first, Allen thought about hunting down that white wizard in the Dark Lord's squad, but he gave up. Besides, Dumbledore himself had fought Voldemort.

It was hard to imagine Dumbledore would let him take back the legacy, he'd probably slice him up for research if he tried.

Dumbledore wouldn't care if Allen said it was his legacy or not. Thinking from Dumbledore's point of view, Allen agreed: after all the trouble killing the Dark Lord, having some kid say the legacy was theirs sounded totally unreliable. If anyone claimed Allen's loot was theirs, Allen swore he'd beat them senseless!

So, dear Dumbledore, instead of sticking together through thick and thin, maybe it's better we just forget each other.

But at this moment, Dumbledore wasn't here to chat with Allen, he had discovered a problem: his warrior training plan was hijacked!

And not only that, it was hijacked by someone who was basically paying him to do it...

He'd been sending money and gear all along, but Harry passed the money right back to Allen.

What could Dumbledore do? Forgive him, of course.

Actually, it was all a joke, Dumbledore was happy Harry was seeking knowledge on his own.

Even as headmaster, he couldn't force professors to reveal their secret knowledge to Harry, the professors had a heavy teaching load, after all, managing seven senior classes!

And don't get him started on exploitation. Honestly, Dumbledore was so busy analyzing intel to finish off his long-overdue-to-be-dead student, handling school affairs, and arguing with the board of governors...

At this time, a coach Harry had found himself appeared before him, and fortunately, this guy was very strong.

So after a confused and almost nonsensical conversation, Allen's weekly punishment was suddenly lifted, though it hadn't even been a few days.

During the talk, Dumbledore highly praised Allen for helping fellow students, encouraged him to keep it up, and hoped he would contribute to friendly exchanges between houses, though he didn't give a single extra point to Slytherin or Hufflepuff...

But whatever. Allen wasn't in class much anyway, just pay the fee. Even if it felt like he and some unscrupulous old man were conspiring to swindle orphans...

As Allen left the headmaster's office, a Slytherin kid suddenly popped out. Just as Allen casually drew his wand, debating whether to cast a stunning spell or a vomiting curse, the Slytherin shouted loudly:

"Stop! Stop! I'm not here to fight!"

Taking him at his word, Allen noticed three classmates nearby, and they didn't usually deliver "gifts" like this. He paused his spell and waited for them to speak.

"Haha, Allen, you're doomed. Professor Snape told us to tell you that the bucket of horned toads must be dealt with today, it's a valuable school asset. If you waste it, Hufflepuff will lose thirty points! By the way, do you guys even have that many points to lose?"

All three Slytherins burst into laughter, thirty points! They'd been bullied by a Hufflepuff kid for thirty whole points!

They'd woken up in the hospital so many times, but today was finally their comeback!

Allen, you got yours!

When Snape called them, they sensed something was off, and hearing his orders almost made them cry, he wanted them to find Allen!

"Dear Professor, do you really think that demon guy with two horns missing hasn't reached god mode or gotten five kills yet? And you want us to just run and die for him?!"

But soon they cheered because Snape told them what to do, wait outside the headmaster's office and make Allen come back to deal with the toads!

Even though they knew revenge was coming, the three accepted happily, eager to see Allen's despairing face.

However, no revenge attack came, and Allen never showed that despairing look.

He calmly looked at them and said softly, "Sorry, the headmaster said I performed outstandingly, so today's detention was specially canceled."

Boom, like thunder on a clear day, a wave of crushing emotions spread through them.

Then Allen added gently, "Please remember to report back to the professor, oh, and I'm sure he won't let the materials go to waste, so this won't be a bother for the house leaders."

Cue the sound of a dagger plunging into their hearts.

Allen turned and walked away without looking back.

A few days before Christmas, during breakfast, a flock of owls swept over the dining table, delivering letters and newspapers to many students.

Well-trained, they never dropped anything on the table, but today, this particular flock was a bit unusual.

Among the owls, a huge, indescribable bird stood out, it was pure white with a ring of pale yellow feathers around its neck.

After searching the sky for a while, it surprisingly landed on Allen's shoulder, it was no easy feat; this bird's head was bigger than Allen's.

It glanced at Allen's plate, snatched a piece of fish he had just picked up with his fork, then gracefully stretched out its right leg.
