This was not Shimo trying to alarm them without cause.
The so-called unimaginable consequences were aimed at the world itself.
Aizen's existence held an irreplaceable role in this world.
If it were merely an ordinary death, perhaps things would not escalate to such a level.
But the situation now was different.
This involved the timeline itself, the level of the world, and the proper operation of everything.
Within the Three Realms, Aizen undoubtedly played an extremely important role.
At that thought, Shimo shifted his gaze slightly and looked down at Ichigo Kurosaki, standing among the Shinigami below.
After Szayelaporro's death, the puppet replica had disappeared along with him.
Since then, Ichigo had been focused on protecting the wounded, doing everything he could to shield them from the aftershocks of battle.
And under the observation of Shimo's Eyes of Time, the timeline connected to Ichigo was even more complex.
His fate was tied to the fate of the entire world.
"Looks like I can only influence him through conventional means."
Shimo muttered to himself.
Seeing Shimo suddenly stop moving, Aizen grew suspicious. At the same time, he began mobilizing his spiritual pressure, intending to overwhelm Shimo in direct combat and continue his plan.
No matter what, the one thing that had to be done now was clear—
Kyoraku Shimo had to die.
A resolute light appeared in Aizen's strange eyes.
The butterfly wings behind him beat once, unleashing a terrifying storm above Karakura Town that swept across the entire sky.
In the next instant, several pillars of light shot upward!
Aizen spread his white butterfly wings, standing with dozens of violet pillars rising behind him.
High above, an oppressive force like divine punishment descended, crushing what little remained of Karakura Town's structures.
That act became the final straw.
The moment that pressure descended, a crisp cracking sound came from outside the dimensional transfer pillars.
Dense cracks had already begun to spread across them.
Urahara's expression turned grave as he said softly:
"Even if captain-class Shinigami pour spiritual pressure into them, they won't hold much longer."
"The materials used to build the transfer pillars have a durability limit. After enduring a battle of this intensity for so long, they've already reached the brink."
Jūshirō Ukitake's expression darkened.
"How much longer can they last?"
Urahara extended a hand and placed it gently against one of the pillars, sensing the changes in the material through his spiritual pressure.
"Thirty seconds."
"That's the limit of the transfer pillars."
He turned toward the others, his tone full of gravity.
"If the transfer pillars break, then the Karakura Town in Soul Society will be sent straight back to the Human World."
"I trust all of you understand better than I do what that means."
The Shinigami's faces grew even grimmer, yet they were powerless to do anything about it.
"What we can do now,"
Urahara turned and looked toward the distant battlefield with a deep gaze,
"is place all our hope in Shimo."
As soon as he finished speaking, he pulled a small doll from inside his robe.
Under the others' puzzled gazes, he tapped the doll's chest several times, then said into its ear:
"Moshi moshi. Can you hear me?"
Far off in the sky, Shimo suddenly heard a faint voice by his ear.
Though the voice was weak beneath the raging storm, it came through with perfect clarity.
"Kisuke?!"
A strange look crossed Shimo's face.
I'm in the middle of a final battle here. What is Urahara plotting now?
And how did he get his message through Aizen's spiritual pressure blockade?
Then again, considering who the speaker was, Shimo immediately felt that perhaps this was only natural.
After all—
He was a scientist.
At the transfer pillar site—
"Kisuke?!"
The Shinigami also heard the voice coming from the doll.
Only then did they realize that the doll looked oddly familiar.
If they ignored its crude craftsmanship, it vaguely resembled Shimo.
"Shimo-kun, the transfer pillars have thirty seconds left—no, wait."
"Now there are only twenty seconds remaining."
Urahara smiled faintly, his voice lower than usual.
"If that time is exceeded, the transfer pillars will collapse, and the real Karakura Town will descend."
As soon as he finished speaking, the connection between the doll and Shimo was severed.
Urahara patted it lightly and said in an odd tone:
"Out of spiritual pressure."
"What a shame. Shimo-kun's spiritual pressure isn't exactly easy to get now."
When he looked up, he found the others staring at him with complicated expressions.
Some of the Shinigami's looks had become unmistakably strange.
After receiving Urahara's message, Shimo's eyes darkened slightly.
His whole demeanor became noticeably more serious.
"Aizen, time is running out."
He looked at Aizen, who stood there like some divine being, and said coldly:
"It's time to bring this meaningless war to an end."
Aizen's state seemed slightly off.
The skin on his face looked as though it was beginning to crack.
"Oh?"
"It seems that Urahara Kisuke told you something very important."
Aizen's tone turned strange, while the white butterfly wings behind him beat again, making the storm in the sky even more violent.
At this point, there were no intact buildings left in Karakura Town, and even complete ruins were becoming rare.
Countless chunks of stone were crashing into one another within the storm.
Shimo raised an eyebrow, looking at Aizen with a hint of surprise.
This man…
He seemed to be evolving toward yet another stage.
The scene from before, when Shimo had severed the timeline of Goryūtenmetsu—had stimulated Aizen once more.
His hunger for power had triggered another evolution.
"This ends here."
Shimo slowly raised his hand, the tip of Akatsuki pointing at his palm.
Without hesitation, the blade pierced straight into his hand.
In the next instant, crimson and black light shot skyward, forming a massive pillar that stood in direct opposition to the pillar of light created by Aizen's spiritual pressure!
"This is your last stretch of time."
Shimo's expression remained calm as he said indifferently:
"Aizen."
At that moment, Aizen's expression froze completely. He could not understand what was happening before him.
Why can I no longer sense his spiritual pressure at all?
What happened?
And what is this oppressive force, enough to make my body tremble uncontrollably?!
Aizen's eyes burned with unwillingness as he stared at Shimo.
"What exactly happened?"
"Kyoraku Shimo… what have you done?!"
