The emperor was reading through the reports and using his mana to directly write on paper his orders as he had no time to waste in writing by using his hands. Queen Elena was making a new tea for him. After the tea was made and it was cooled down, she could only take a basin and threw it away. She made another tea.
The emperor kept going through the papers before he wanted to drink something. He took the tea and drank it. He sighed as the tea was cold. The queen made a fresh tea and gave it to him and the Emperor took it and drank it.
He smiled as he felt the contract seal give him the mental message that Nathaniel had come. He waved his hands and the queen could only stand and leave.
He waited for some time before Nathaniel entered the room. He walked for ten minutes before he could come from the door to his side. He bowed to him.
Nathaniel who was shivering due to fear, now no longer had any fear as this Emperor with the best bloodline in the Empire and a strong archmage was not strong enough to kill him. He could not even feel any fear when seeing this emperor. Sages were indeed different.
Emperor Nero smiled and asked, "Did he accept the offer? What kind of enthronement ceremony does he want?"
Nathaniel who had returned to his normal self, seeing that the best human that he could see was this man in front of him who was a weakling in strength as he had seen dragons and fairies and in mind as this man let his wife sleep around, let him stop worry about his lack of strength when facing Dominic.
Nero had a doubt as he saw a lack of respect in this man. He was psychic rather than a mage walking on the path of god. Nathaniel who had calmed himself down by now spoke, "Lord Dominic the white is a sage level strongman in terms of mystery and a king level strongman in terms of energy and strength. His strength is surely dragon level and above but I am not strong enough to use appraisal skill on him."
Nero nodded. Seeing that Nathaniel did not continue speaking, he said, "What else? He should have accepted it given that he has no nation now and he has no national level contract supporting him."
Nathaniel shook his head and said, "He speaks of the fact that he can indeed gain 20% shares or more even if he is not a king and does not plan to become a king as the Roman Empire does not have enough strength to keep the dragons away. He speaks that as he was a king level mage, any empire will make enthrone him as a king. Nero thought for some time and then asked, "Does it have to do with the fact that we have not given him any territory? But the right to conquer and claim any territory is good enough. Other kings will have to give the conquered territory to the empire and then get the gift for their action for the empire."
Nathaniel shook his head and said, "The fact is he is a king level powerhouse. Any knight will have his lifespan increased to 500 years for having mana. An archmage can forge his body using attributes increasing it further. I have found that he had forged his body using a different kind of mystery but it does increase the lifespan further. Unlike archmages who just have 800 years of life and king level mages having lifespan of 3000 years, he has a lifespan of 70,000 years. I have verified it." He thought about whether he should speak about the king level powerhouses who worked as his maids and they too had such long lifespan but planned to not be the one to snitch out the truth as he does not plan to make Dominic an enemy.
Nero asked, "Is it a law fragment blessed from god or the internal rule particles from the planar controller? Or is it some kind of intent as recorded in the Holy history books?"
Nathaniel spoke, "I do not know what kind of mystery he does have but isn't the Holy History books nothing more than childhood stories."
Nero shook his head and said, "Those are true history books passed as stories. When the history is too weird as to be not believed, when humans itself cannot believe that dragons were nothing more than our pets and gods were toys, we can only let it pass down as stories so as to ensure that it will not be forgotten in some corner by some self-righteous scholar."
Nathaniel asked, "How to verify?"
Nero spoke, "Any person having law fragment will be creating energy every second? There is a reason why they are worshipped by many mages. You can find it if he does not care about energy and keeps emanating it. Another point to note is that his servants will be full of energy and will also have higher level mystery similar to him. Why else do you think that humanity has very few archmages but has more archbishops? As for to test if he has rule fragments, you just need to note that you would be dead the moment you had looked at him using your eyes. Nero smiled and said, "That does make it interesting. So, what do you suppose I should grant him. Granting him more territory would not be the right method. I cannot call upon the empire to just get another territory for him. I seriously doubt he would need anything special."
Nathaniel spoke, "He was searching for different attributes. The imperial family should be having some special attribute gems and law gems that has to be used for forging divine artifacts. If he already has a law fragment, giving him more law fragments will help him."
Nero shook his head and said, "Every one of the humans who had tried to fuse themselves with the laws had died. Immortality does sound good but what does it matter when fusing would cause in real death."
Nathaniel spoke, "We can just send it to him. It is up to him whether he wants it or not. It will be okay if he dies as we will not have to be bothered by someone really stronger than us."
Nero nodded. He said, "Send him the CE-regiment. Also give him a salary of 20 million gold every year. Do you think I should send one of my princesses to him?"
Nathaniel nodded and said, "That might or might not work as he is disgusted by the very fact that you allow your concubines to sleep with others. One such concubine went behind him and he had spoken against you in public. You should work hard on taking care of your image."
Nero smiled and said, "There is a common misconception. Those concubines who sleep with others were never my women to begin with. My personal wives are made queens and seven or eight wives are enough for me. As for the rest, they are named concubines and not once had I touched them. Nero's smile woke him up. He found that he had accidentally walked far behind in fear. Nero took a contract paper and wrote something. He smiled and said, "Sign the contract to keep the secret."
