(Time froze for long seconds on the school rooftop. Honoka was standing at the edge, her back to the void, and the wind moved her hair with a harsh lightness, as if pushing her toward the decision she had made a long time ago. Her gaze was empty, no fear in it... only a deep exhaustion.)
(Ahmed felt a sharp contraction in his chest. That emptiness in her eyes suddenly brought him back to a distant memory that had never left him—the day he saw Misaki for the first time, broken and silent, carrying the same pain without uttering it. At that moment, he no longer saw a stranger before him, but another soul on the verge of being extinguished.)
(Without thinking, his body moved before his mind. He threw the food container to the ground and rushed toward her with all the strength he possessed.)
Ahmed (screaming with a hoarse voice):
"Honoka! Nooo!"
(Honoka turned slowly. Her eyes met his for a fraction of a second—a brief look, but it was enough for Ahmed to feel that it was a farewell.)
(She smiled a faint smile; only one step separated her from the edge... then she let her body fall.)
(Misaki's eyes widened in horror, and she screamed his name unconsciously.)
(As for Ahmed, he did not stop. He did not hesitate. In a moment of pure instinct, he jumped after her into the void, the air slapping his face harshly. He extended his arm with all his might, his eyes fixed on her, his heart screaming before his voice.)
(And in the fall, there was only one thing in his mind:
"I will not let her fall alone.")
