Chapter 163 - Chapter 163

Stark Industries' elite security teams swarmed from all directions.

In under thirty seconds, they gunned down the remaining six suicide squad members.

The seventh, barricaded in the basement, held out for a minute behind a reinforced armored door. But the guards breached it, rushing in and pinning him to the ground.

Choking under their grip, he flashed a feral grin.

We did it!

BOOM!

The admin building's six floors erupted in a massive explosion.

Every glass window shattered, flames roaring out.

A violent quake shook the entire campus.

The security chief's earpiece screeched with static. He tossed it and stepped out of the armored vehicle.

The admin building blazed, black smoke pouring from its windows.

Cracks spiderwebbed the sturdy walls, ready to collapse any second.

Clatter.

The chief stared, dazed, dropping his radio.

The admin building was gone. Tony Stark would lose it—probably drag him to a military tribunal.

Worse, over a hundred comrades he'd worked with daily were just… gone.

It was over.

Everything was over.

His mind went blank.

"Chief! Chief!" A subordinate grabbed his collar, roaring. "No time to freeze! Save who you can!"

Snapped awake, the chief grabbed the radio, ordering the remaining guards to rush in and rescue survivors.

Then he called his superior, requesting every medical chopper in L.A. through military channels.

A hundred meters above Stark Industries, Jason hovered, arms crossed, savoring the chaotic show.

Despite the odds, his suicide squad nailed the mission.

Watching the panicked, defeated guards below, he smirked.

Looks like Stark doesn't have any big guns after all.

That 12.7mm auto rifle packed a punch, but it was no threat to him—not even as dangerous as the short-barreled rockets.

Jason lowered his arms, twisting his neck with a crack.

Time to move.

He gathered energy and dove near-vertically toward Stark's core facility.

The squad targeted the admin building for two reasons: its basement server room held Stark's critical data, and it was in the opposite direction from the core facility.

The earlier chaos drew nearly all the guards away, leaving just two at the core, dumbly staring at the burning admin building.

"My God, what happened over there?" One muttered.

"No idea. Just heard it's terrorists," The other replied.

"Can't believe it. What kind of terrorists break through all that security and blow up the admin building?"

"I don't buy it either, but if I had to guess, it's gotta be Jason's Joker Organization."

BOOM!

Their words were cut off as Jason crashed down, smashing a crater into the concrete, debris flying.

He stood slowly, his expression a mocking half-smile.

The guards' faces shifted—worry to shock, then panic.

Their changing expressions were almost amusing.

"Jason! It's Jason!" They screamed, flicking off safeties, retreating while firing.

In their fear, they forgot to alert the chief.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Bullets swarmed, but the moment they touched Jason's clothes, they lost all force, falling harmlessly.

Quick-handed, he snatched a falling round, inspecting it.

"12.7mm anti-materiel round in an auto rifle, with manageable recoil," He mused, intrigued.

Whoever designed this was a genius. If his crew and elites got these, their firepower would double.

Tossing the bullet, he formed two pale blue energy orbs in his palms.

"Hadoken!" He shouted randomly, hurling the orbs at the guards' chests.

Crack!

Bones snapped as the energy sent them crashing through the bulletproof glass door, collapsing with 20cm craters in their chests.

Hands behind his back, Jason strolled into the core facility.

Inside, a six-meter-tall, twenty-meter-wide Arc Reactor dominated the room.

It hummed, blue energy rings pulsing through a transparent glass-like shell, accompanied by electromagnetic buzzes.

"So this is Stark Industries' crown jewel—the Arc Reactor," Jason said, circling it, eyes wide.

Even a roughneck like him was awed by its high-tech beauty.

Stunning.

Curious, he hopped the barrier, placing a hand on the glass.

A surge of energy flooded his body.

Before he could react, it overwhelmed him, like he was stuffed to bursting.

Crack!

Thick bolts of lightning flashed inside the reactor.

The force blasted Jason back, smashing him into the wall, leaving a human-shaped dent.

"Fuck! Overdid it!" He groaned, body sparking with currents.

Every cell screamed, like being stung by a million bees.

The currents faded. Gritting his teeth, Jason crawled up, pain searing.

Clenching his fists, he felt the energy inside—overloaded, ready to burst his body.

With a thought, he raised his hands, channeling most of it into a one-meter-wide pale blue energy ball.

"Stark! Here's your gift! Hope you like it!" He shouted, smashing the orb into the Arc Reactor.

Wind at his feet, he bolted out at top speed.
