After placing a tea set on the night table without making a sound, Agares opened his mouth with a wry smile mixed in.
"Your Majesty, I believe you should rest a little. If Lord Li Shen wakes up, would it not be troublesome if Your Majesty were the one to collapse next?"
"I am eating and sleeping."
"If those words were spoken in front of Lord Li Shen, I imagine he would reply with, 'Look in a mirror before you say that!'"
The slightly painful advice was swallowed down along with the warm tea made from tea leaves Li Shen had liked.
The chief butler did not say anything further.
With his usual gentle smile, he bowed his head once and quietly left the room.
As the presence faded away, he felt a small irritation at the way the position of the sunlight that was entering the room had shifted just a little.
So today as well, would time simply pass like this?
Even though Li Shen did not wake up, why did time alone insist on moving forward?
