Chapter 154 - Chapter 152 how,do we load again?

"If you want to experiment. do it yourself, don't drag me into it," Tom said calmly.

"No way, what if something happens to me..." Li Weide said awkwardly.

"Are you deaf?

Don't you think I'm afraid of something going wrong?"

Tom's anger was rising rapidly.

Li Weide sighed and said, "Tom, I know the Shock Absorption Charm, do you?"

"Shock Absorption Charm?

I... I haven't learned it yet..."

"But I do!

Look, if you fall, I can catch you.

If I fall, you don't have the Shock Absorption Charm, you won't be able to catch me!"

Tom sneered, "What's the problem? You can just have Toby catch you down there, right?

Didn't you tell me not to underestimate the magic of house-elves?"

"Fine... if you don't want to, then forget it." Seeing that Tom wasn't falling for it at all, Li Weide had no choice but to give up.

He had tricked this kid too many times, and now he wasn't fooled anymore.

"Toby!

Stop busying yourself, help me do a magic experiment first!"

Li Weide shouted towards the kitchen.

"Okay!"

Toby replied, then turned to the dejected cat and said, "Remember, when washing the dishes, make sure to rinse them with clean water at least three times… Oh, and you don't know magic yet, so use a dishcloth…"

Tom was completely bewildered.

When had he ever seen a pet cat have to wash dishes for its owner?

After briefly instructing Tom, Toby approached Lee Wade and respectfully said, "Young Master Wade, what are your orders?"

"Toby, help me experiment with a spell… I might fly up in a bit, and if I fall…"

"Don't worry, Young Master Wade, Toby is capable of catching you," Toby said confidently.

As an experienced house-elf, he could easily handle this small task.

"Very good! I trust you, Toby!

Unlike some people, oh dear, I was even thinking of using this opportunity to get this spell as payment for the experiment. Since he doesn't want to learn, then forget it."

Lee Wade said, and then went straight out the door.

Tom curled his lip in disdain.

With such a good deal, why would you let me have it?

However, when Li Wade went out, he still chose to follow.

It wasn't that he wanted to learn or had changed his mind; he simply wanted to see that bastard fall!

That feeling would definitely be satisfying! So exhilarating!

Arriving in the yard, Li Wade looked at the greenhouse he had built and then at the open space beside it.

"This place is too small.

Is there a larger, more secluded place nearby?"

Li Wade asked.

"Yes, there's a forest east of town with a small lake in the middle.

Usually, there aren't many people there.

If it's flying magic, it might be safer near water," Toby said shrilly.

While Li Wade and Tom were at school, Toby stayed in Godric's Valley when not summoned.

As instructed by Li Wade, he would come out for a stroll whenever he had free time, to relax and avoid becoming mentally unstable, as Li Wade had said.

Because Li Wade didn't want to raise a strange house-elf like Kreacher…and therefore, Toby was already very familiar with Godric's Valley.

"Very good! Let's go!

Tom, watch the house!" said Lee Wade.

Tom frowned and said, "I'm not watching the house! I'm not your servant, it's none of your business where I go!"

"You're so strange, I didn't say you."

Lee Wade pointed to Tom, who was sneaking out of the kitchen door, "I had him watch the house… Can you not take this personally?"

"You bastard… Can you change your cat's name?"

Tom suppressed his anger.

However, all he got in response was the back of Lee Wade's head.

Tom took another deep breath in anger, "I'd like to see if I can kill you, you scoundrel!"

The location of the small lake was very good, with trees on all sides, secluded and quiet.

"Young Master Wade, if you practice flying here, even if Toby doesn't catch you, there will be trees or lake water to cushion the fall."

Toby said sincerely.

"Didn't you just say that you could catch him 100%?"

"This is also for your safety, Young Master Wade…" Toby said cautiously.

"Alright."

He glanced at Tom, who was sitting on a rock not far away, secretly watching them.

Toby immediately said, "Don't worry, Master Wade, I'll keep an eye on Master Tom and make sure he doesn't do anything bad!"

Toby's voice was loud, and Tom's face immediately darkened.

Honestly, he really hadn't intended to do anything bad!

It wasn't that he didn't have the intention… the key was that he couldn't beat Wade!

This was a ruthless character who dared to mess with Grindelwald.

If he really wanted to cause trouble, he had to think about the consequences…

Back then, Wade only retaliated slightly, and he was sorted into Azkaban by the Sorting Hat.

If he had taken revenge more seriously… he might have really been sorted into Azkaban…

Wade didn't really care about any of that.

He didn't actually need Toby and Tom's help.

In fact, he told Toby and Tom only so that they could witness him creating a new spell that had never been seen before.

How could a wizard who was skilled in Apparition be afraid of being killed by a fall?

Livander drew his wand, hesitated for a moment, then took out a worn-out one.

He'd used this very wand to devour Grindelwald's melon before.

Using this spell for the first time, Livander muttered a long incantation in a low voice.

Immediately afterward, Tom and Toby noticed black mist emanating from Livander's feet…

A moment later, Livander's entire lower body was enveloped in black fog.

Then, Livander's figure began to sway and float upwards.

After rising to the height of the treetops, it began to drift left, right, forward, and backward.

The black mist churned and surged to the sides as Livid drifted...

Watching this, Tom involuntarily gaped.

He thought Livid had just come up with a preliminary idea and was experimenting.

Now it seemed... this guy had clearly succeeded!

As Tom thought this, Livid's flying speed increased rapidly.

Finally, he transformed into a cloud of black mist, darting among the treetops...

Suddenly, several spells flew out from the black mist, accurately striking the stone next to Tom.

This startled Tom and left him utterly astonished.

"Flying so fast... and, he can cast spells while flying..."

Tom was undeniably tempted!

A flight spell that could maintain high-speed flight while casting magic was incredibly advantageous!

Thinking about how he had foolishly refused Livid's offer earlier, he couldn't help but regret it.

If he could learn this flight spell, even if he suffered a small loss, it would be worth it!

"Whoosh!"

The black mist quickly landed on the ground, and Li Weide emerged from the black fog, looking refreshed.

"It feels so good to be able to fly without a broomstick!"

Li Weide exclaimed.

Back then, his senior had suggested that he buy a broomstick before venturing into the Forbidden Forest.

That way, he wouldn't have to stumble and fall along the way.

Now that he had mastered the Flying Charm, why would he need to buy a broomstick?

"Young Master Weide!

Congratulations! You've successfully developed a new spell!" Toby squealed excitedly.

"Toby is so lucky to have a master like you!"

"Hehe, of course, of course.

Toby, do you want to learn?

I can teach you.

Although house-elves' magic is a little different from wizards', it wouldn't hurt to give it a try." Li Weide smiled.

 "Ah?

Really?

Toby can learn too?"

Of course!"

"That's great! Toby is willing to try!"

Tom, who was standing to the side, finally couldn't resist seeing that Li Weide was even willing to teach a house-elf.

"Ahem, Wade...can I learn?"

Tom asked shamelessly.

In this world, only those with thick skin can get by...

Tom had learned the principle of being flexible and adaptable long ago under Wade's pressure.

"Didn't you just say you weren't interested?"

"No, I never said I wasn't interested, Wade.

What I've been emphasizing is that my abilities are limited and I can't help you experiment with magic."

Tom said without blushing or panting.

"Hiss..." Wade looked at Tom in surprise, "Tom, your skin has gotten much thicker now!"

"No problem, no problem, it's all thanks to your excellent teaching, Professor Wade."

Tom said with a forced smile.

"Tsk tsk, since you've said so, I can't refuse to teach you. Come on, let me impart this magic to you!"

Wade said proudly.

A hint of surprise flashed in Tom's eyes. He hadn't expected Wade to actually agree to teach him.

He thought Wade would continue to make things difficult for him for a while.

Li Weide beckoned, "Come closer."

Once Tom was near, Li Weide whispered, "First do this... then this... then this... and you'll fly!"

  Tom: "?"

"You're so stupid!

I'll just tell you the spell!"

"Actually, you could have just told me the spell earlier... Professor Li."

A moment later, Tom had already memorized the spell.

When he came to his senses, he realized that a rope had been tied around his waist.

Tom asked in surprise, "What's this for?"

"The first time you cast a spell, it's easy to fly too far and then whoosh away... so I had to tie you up with this rope.

I'm not like you, watching me experiment with magic and just watching without helping at all."

Li Weide said, tying a very complicated knot in the rope.

"Is that so?"

Tom subconsciously felt something was wrong, but couldn't quite put his finger on it.

  "Of course!"

"Okay... oh, right, you just told me the takeoff spell, right?

What about the landing and movement spells?"

Tom asked.

"What was the takeoff spell I just told you?

Say it to me, let me see if I'm doing it right."

Tom had no choice but to recite it, and as soon as he finished the last syllable, he was suddenly airborne!

Li Weide shouted, "Takeoff!"

"Wait! Wait a minute! How do I land?!

Why am I flying upwards?!"

Tom was truly panicked this time.

"Don't worry, the rope's holding me up!"

Li Weide gripped the rope firmly.

Tom felt a sense of relief.

"Thank goodness… Now, please tell me how to land… Wait, what are you doing?"

Before Tom could finish speaking, he saw Li Weide grab the rope and start jogging along the lakeside.

"You… you're flying a kite?!"

Tom was filled with despair; Li Weide's traps were everywhere!

In the end… he couldn't escape after all…

So many things to do during the New Year… The next chapter won't be posted for another hour, sorry.
