Scene 1 – Into the Whispering Chamber
The floor of the Tower shifted beneath their boots, opening into a chamber that seemed alive. Shadows slithered along the walls, curling into shapes that almost resembled hands reaching out. The faint echoes of metal scraping stone resonated through the air, though no weapon was visible.
Jemil's chest burned—the curse marking him with molten patterns that pulsed like a heartbeat. Every pulse sent a jolt of fire through his veins, and he could feel the presence in the room reacting to it, sensing fear, hesitation, or doubt.
The swordmaster tightened her grip on her blade. Her eyes swept across the chamber, noting every ripple in the shadows. Unlike before, the darkness here wasn't static—it moved deliberately, as if the room itself had a mind, waiting to test her instincts.
"This floor… it's different," she said, voice tight. "It's not just hunting us. It's trying to teach us something."
Jemil nodded. "Then we'll learn. Together."
