Chapter 44 - Taroukasin (2)

She sprinted amongst the crowd, bumping and pushing past people's shoulders. Yet, she never dared to look back. A profound niggling teetering inside her, she shut her eyes tightly unaware what trouble that would cause her.

[Tael, how many times must I remind you to look forward!?]

She ignored Tombs warning, and obviously, she bumped face flat onto someone within seconds.

This time, I didn't groan out of pain, I could feel the touch of the person on my arms, catching me before I fell. Suddenly, the person spoke in a familiar voice. The firm and measured tone.

"Are you alright?"

My face immediately shot up, realising the person holding onto me. It was the qeue to snap out and enter into another daze.

His long ears are nowhere to see. His glamours appearance, completing the new raven black hair and the dark orbs of his, glistening against the sun rays. His lips tainted with soft rosy pink and his stare captivating.

I wasn't sure why my heart started beating uncontrollably. Time had stopped itself, and the distance seemed to have faded. It was me and him in another time-space, unaware and unfound by anyone, just each other. Soft light surrounded us, and my soul felt enchanted. I didn't know if it was the same for him, but in my gaze, it was more than appreciation. Out of the blue, his touch felt warmer, and the grip on me pushed me into comfort and canopy. Our eyes remained locked, yet I was unaware of what he was thinking behind those two beautiful eyes. My mouth was slightly open, and my eyes made sure to catch and sink into the magical sight.

He remained in his position while I remained in mine, unable to move, not because he prevented me, but because my body had become paralysed by shock. Chills ran through my spine, and my heart was beating hard, pushing me further into a vulnerable state. My hand wrenched at my chest, and a surreal lingering churned in my stomach. I could feel my cheeks burning intensely.

He looked radiant and unspoken, a man who could only appear in dreams. Everything that had taken place a while ago seemed to have disappeared into another space. My shoulders relaxed, and sparks jingled in my heart. It was as if I were in a fantasy, and my lungs had forgotten to their purpose as they kept preventing my breath. His presence felt closer than allowed. However, it was as if an invisible thread that just kept pulling us back together. The world around us reamined hushed and let the moment unwrap by itself.

A fragile opinion circled around us, an unspoken understanding between hesitation and longing. I was suspended and pressed to believe that a moment like this would never appear again. It was gonna be as short as a fleeting dream that may be forgotten and lost with time. His warmth grew, pulling me back in. His every silent breath and flickering of eyes amplified in my ears. There was honestly a comfort in being seen this way, even without knowing what he truly saw in me. It was a lie to think that I would forget this small feeling blooming in me.

To many people that appeared like a fleeting second, to me though, it was more than that....

Someplace else, Soo-Hyuk caught sight of Ororon and Tremious, and he immediately sprinted toward them.

Dammmm

A loud crash was heard, and the people around giggled at the two fallen men. It turned out Soo-Hyuk had purposefully let himself get dragged away by Tremious's mana, and that alone caused them both to clash and fall to the ground.

"What is wrong with you!?"

Tremious annoyingly shouted.

"Come on, stop it, I would actually praise him rather."

The mellow voice pronounced.

"Only you find it amusing!"

Soo-Htuk lashed at Kyoko.

Tremious dusted himself while Ororon was busy, showing off his new glasses to Kyoko.

"You look good."

"Hehe, thank you!"

"What the hell is wrong with you!?"

Soo-Hyuk screamed again, drawing attention to himself. He let go of his cane, both hands hovering over his top hat. He was frustrated and bewildered.

"What are you even taking about?"

Tremious squinted his face in disgust and pinched his nose bridge again.

"Man! Carrying child!? What can possibly make you think of that!!"

Soo-Hyuk dramatically jumped around and pressed for an answer. He was beyond disgusted and horrified with the idea.

"Don't listen to him, I thank you on his behalf."

Kyoko said, smiling and being very pleased, and Soo-Hyuk protested again, leading them to bicker. Tremious let out a heavy sigh and shouted.

"It isn't for long!!"

Both of them stopped and stared at Tremious, and Soo-Hyuk backed off while Kyoko whined.

"Huh? Why?"

"Haha! Better. Anyhow, where is my Mademoiselle?"

Soo-Hyuk pronounced, looking around while Tremious avoided his gaze and uttered casually.

"She went to look for you guys...Dermis?"

"Same as her.."

Kyoko said while brushing back her new brown hair behind her human ears, the long pair missing.
