Chapter 518 - Shiroyasha’s Surprise!

Chapter 518: Doom Companion! Shiroyasha's Surprise!

Because of Rosa's transformation, the situation became tricky. But another sudden change occurred. "Ahhh!"

Nia Honjo suddenly fell to her knees, covering her head and letting out painful wails. Waves of hellish memories flooded her brain—five years of being cut open, of physical and mental torture. It made her lose control.

"Ahhh!" Accompanied by painful roars, a black and red aura was released from her body, like viscous blood surging.

Kurumi's eyelid twitched. "Spirit Inversion?" Realizing the dire situation, she immediately sought help from the Chat Group. Just as she explained it to Ren, a mission appeared.

[Doom Companion]: Four-person team

[Companion Time]: One Day

[Companions]: Ren, Tokisaki Kurumi, Tatsumaki, Shiroyasha

[Companion Mission]: Eliminate the Devourer, Rosa.

[Shiroyasha: Oh my, what is the meaning of this?]

[Ren: A mission. The selected companions can cross over to resolve the apocalypse.]

[Shiroyasha: I've become a thug?]

[Tatsumaki: Hmph, don't think you can order me around!]

[Ren: You can choose not to go. No one is forcing you.]

[Emilia: Ren-kun, are you going directly?]

[Ren: Yes. Your coronation ceremony is still being prepared. It won't take long.]

[Ren: Shiroyasha, Tatsumaki, if you're interested, you can confirm and go see.]

[Kurumi: Everyone, please hurry.] She was anxious. Her abilities were completely ineffective against Rosa, who had gained her power.

While wary of Nia, Kurumi saw a figure appear in front of her. A smile curved on her lips as she completely relaxed.

"Inverted Spirit, Demon King," Ren, who had crossed over, curiously studied Nia's state.

"The power of a Spirit! I need more!" After gaining Kurumi's power, Rosa had shifted her target to Tohka. However, her madness only lasted a few seconds; her body lost its ability to move. Not only her, but also the rampaging Nia and Ellen stood motionless.

??? Tohka stopped swinging her greatsword, confused.

Kurumi had already taken elegant steps to his side. "Ren-kun, what did you do?"

He shrugged. "Temporarily froze their actions, to facilitate observation."

Tohka also descended, curiously sizing him up.

Kurumi narrowed her eyes. "Oh my, Tohka-san, this is Ren-kun. It's because of his hints that I helped you and rescued Nia."

Tohka's ears twitched. "Why? Humans and Spirits… are enemies." Every time a Spirit appeared, it caused a Spacequake, which was harmful. So, DEM ostensibly dealt with them for this reason.

"I am not a human from this world, and I don't care. Moreover, I know a little about Spirits. Spacequakes are not caused voluntarily, are they?"

Tohka didn't understand the first part, but the latter struck a chord. She had never intended to cause one. The world always suddenly took her away and then released her. Just like now, a sense of being pulled away emerged. She still wanted to communicate with this human, but reality didn't allow it.

Ren knew what was happening. With a casual flick, the spatial fluctuations emanating from her body dissipated. "Eh?" The feeling vanished. She looked at her hands in surprise. "Did you do that?"

"Yes, a small matter." As soon as he responded, two figures appeared beside him.

"Hey, tell me, where is this?" Tatsumaki floated in mid-air with her arms crossed, as if to assert dominance.

Ren wouldn't humor her. "I don't really like looking up at people."

"Huh?" Suddenly, she felt an irresistible force press her down until she was level with him, seeing his smiling face. "This is much better. And to answer you, this is another world."

"..." Tatsumaki clenched her fists, staring at him. It's this guy again! Such a powerless feeling!

"It truly is an outlier world where the central power of Hakoniwa is unfelt. Interesting," Shiroyasha fanned her folding fan. Even her Divine Authority couldn't connect. "Young man, you are very strong."

What concerned her more was Ren's presence. Although she didn't know if he possessed Divine Authority, she could sense his essence, which transcended the universe. Even stranger, there was a faint sense of déjà vu, as if the Ren before her was the only one.
