Chapter 402 - LOD Chapter 399 The Theater With Curtains That Never Draw

The Astral World, formed by the distortion of authority and symbols, is in some ways even more chaotic than the Spirit World. The reason Aaron was able to locate the Evernight Goddess's Divine Kingdom immediately upon entering the Astral World was by using his identity as a Follower of Evernight to reverse-locate the "Tenebrous Heaven."

Now that he knew the location of the Lord of Storms' Divine Kingdom in the Astral World, Aaron, who could roam the Astral World with the help of the "Crown of Stars," would not need to make a special trip to Pasu Island next time.

Standing above the Abyss rift, gazing at the illusory Door separating the Astral World from reality, Aaron deliberated repeatedly but did not perform the sacrifice and bestowal ritual according to the requirements given by the Lord of Storms.

A black jar emanating a rich vitality quietly appeared before Aaron. Drops of crimson blood, like fragmented jewels, floated out—these were the blood samples of Beyonders from all 22 Pathways that Aaron had prepared long ago.

Under the guidance of Aaron's will, these blood samples, preserved with their vitality, moved through the void. A few breaths later, a complex symbol composed of overlapping "Doors" sprang forth.

This was not the symbol Victor obtained from Mr. Door when he advanced to demigod, but a similar yet subtly different symbol deciphered from the Blasphemy Slate's "Door."

The overlapping Doors formed by blood trembled slightly, seemingly forming a peculiar resonance with the illusory Door in the center of the rift.

After agreeing to trade with Aaron, the Lord of Storms had never stopped Aaron's actions. Only now, seemingly having some memories stirred by that symbol, did the Tyrant's majestic voice sound again:

"Bethel..."

In the Fourth Epoch, the Lord of Storms personally exiled this King of Angels, who was closest to a True God. Although the symbol Aaron drew had some variations, the Lord of Storms still recognized the origin of this unique "Door-opening" method.

He did not intervene. Even the endlessly cycling, apocalyptic destruction scene behind the Door subsided at this moment.

The illusory Door separating the Astral World from reality was stained by the blood-colored symbol, becoming increasingly transparent, as if it had transformed into a passage. And deep within the boundless sea, a point of light suddenly flared up at this moment.

It wasn't until he was thrown out of that opened illusory Door by the surging storm tides that Aaron felt an invisible force dragging his Spirit Body.

Without even triggering the power of the Nation of Disorder, Aaron, whose essence was already that of a complete mythical creature, easily broke free from that force. The golden light in his pupils became even more intense as he looked at the human skin curtain wrapped in silver-white arcs.

Perhaps it had been suppressed by the Tyrant for too long, but the "Theater That Never Ends" began to stir as soon as it left the boundless sea.

The force that forcibly dragged Spirit Bodies had not yet receded. The normal-sized human skin suddenly began to expand, seemingly wanting to transform into a curtain to cover the "Chasm of Storms."

Illusory, unidentifiable figures began to appear on the "curtain," but as the "curtain" gradually expanded, those figures became more and more real, like silent dramas being performed at different positions on the "curtain," as if something would walk out of the "curtain" at any moment.

Aaron's eyes narrowed slightly, quietly mobilizing the power of the Sefirah. This was not to suppress this Grade 0 Sealed Artifact, but to clearly see the few figures deep within the curtain.

That seemed somewhat similar to a scene from the "War of the Four Emperors" remaining in the "Divine Kingdom Fragment." Before he could verify the idea in his mind, destructive lightning tore through the curtain that sought to cover the "Chasm of Storms."

The human skin with scorched marks fell in the storm, and the terrifying figures that were about to reveal themselves also dissipated.

At the same time, a piece of information, clearly extracted directly from the Church of the Lord of Storms's files, appeared in Aaron's mind:

"Number: 32."

"Name: The Theater That Never Ends."

"Danger Level: '0', extremely dangerous, highest priority, highest Concealment level, not to be inquired about, not to be described, not to be spied upon."

...

"Description: This Sealed Artifact is equivalent to a Beyonder characteristic of a Seer Sequence 2 Miracle Invoker."

....

"Consuming spirituality can forcibly lock onto a target and enter a recorded segment of history together, becoming the protagonist of the 'Theater' until the user's spirituality is exhausted or one party dies."

"Warning 1: Once the user of this Sealed Artifact or anyone who has been under its long-term influence dies or loses control, they will become an 'actor' within this Sealed Artifact, their Spirit Body forever confined to the time before their death."

"Warning 2: This Sealed Artifact possesses strong autonomous consciousness and is prone to unknown changes due to the influence of high-level imprints within the Theater."

After digesting the information that suddenly appeared in his mind, Aaron's expression was somewhat strange as he glanced at "0-32," which had become much more obedient after being disciplined by the Tyrant.

The internal records of the Church of the Lord of Storms mentioned at the end that after the War of the Four Emperors, a demigod who obtained this Sealed Artifact participated in a test.

However, after entering "0-32," he never came out, and only a blurry figure shrouded in storm appeared in a corner of the "Theater." Therefore, the Church of the Lord of Storms's records regarding the abilities and negative effects of this Sealed Artifact were quite vague and not specific enough.

It seems necessary to explore it later... Suppressing the surging thoughts in his mind, Aaron performed a standard Storm Ritual towards the still open illusory Door, respectfully throwing the Sequence 2 Lightseeker characteristic in his hand towards the boundless sea.

He then picked up "The Theater That Never Ends." Just as he was about to leave, he heard the majestic voice from behind the rapidly closing illusory Door:

"Stay away from Door, He has fallen..."

Looking at the Chasm of Storms, which had completely returned to calm, Aaron nodded. His figure flickered, and he left the core area of the Church of the Lord of Storms, seeing Gaard II waiting at the entrance of the Storm Corridor.

After bidding farewell to His Holiness the Pope, Aaron quickly left Pasu Island and arrived at a sea area in the Sonia Sea, where he met Bernadette, who had been waiting there since leaving Emlyn's Governor's Mansion.

Her eyes, as blue as the sea, blinked gently. Relying on her Sage's intuition, Bernadette looked at the scorched human skin, like a dead object, clutched in Aaron's hand, and spoke softly:

"Is this the Grade 0 Sealed Artifact held by the Church of the Lord of Storms?"

Aaron raised an eyebrow, not expecting Bernadette to recognize "0-32" at a glance, which only a few people, such as the Pope, knew about within the Church of the Lord of Storms.

Sensing Aaron's confusion, Bernadette explained in a calm voice:

"After he advanced to Knowledge Emperor, he secretly visited the Church of the Lord of Storms once, wanting to exchange for this Grade 0 Sealed Artifact, but he was refused."
