Chapter 805 – "Back to the World"
When Xue Lian's eyes opened, the first thing she felt was warmth. Not just the lingering heat of her body, but the steady, grounding warmth of Alex's arms wrapped around her. The silken sheets were tangled loosely over them, the faint light of the time-bubble painting their skin in soft silver.
For a long moment, she simply stayed there, listening to the slow, deep rhythm of his breathing, feeling the rise and fall of his chest under her cheek. After the uncountable days they had spent tangled together in every possible way, the stillness felt almost unreal.
"You're awake," Alex murmured, his voice low and smooth from sleep.
She tilted her head to look at him, her lips curving faintly. "I am… and I'm still alive." The last part came with a wry edge, though her eyes softened immediately after. "Barely."
He gave a small, knowing smile, brushing his thumb across her cheek. "You're stronger than before."
She frowned slightly, as if uncertain she'd heard him right — but when she focused inward, the truth was impossible to miss. The mana within her flowed richer, denser, steadier than she had ever felt, her core humming with a fullness that spoke of more than just recovery.
Her eyes widened. "It's… not just more. It's… different. Balanced. Stable."
Alex nodded. "Your foundation's cleaner. Your control's sharper. You could stand in front of most Level 9 cultivators now and they wouldn't be able to shake you."
A slow smile spread across her lips — not the proud, sharp expression of a sect leader, but something softer, more personal. "Then I suppose I should thank my husband for that."
"You already did," he said, leaning in to press a brief kiss to her forehead before shifting back. "But it's time we get dressed. Outside this bubble, not a second has passed."
They rose together, the cool air brushing against their bare skin. She reached for her robe, sliding it over her shoulders, the purple silk catching the light. He fastened his tunic with smooth, practiced motions, his presence steady and unhurried as always.
When she finished, she adjusted the white choker at her throat and glanced at the silver-white ring on her finger, both of them carrying the faint pulse of his aura. Her expression softened. "I'll keep these close."
Alex offered his hand, and she took it without hesitation. With a thought, he collapsed the time-bubble — the shimmer in the air breaking apart like mist in sunlight.
The frozen cavern returned around them. Fires still burned, exactly as they had when they'd stepped away. And waiting just beyond the edge of their space, Yu Mei and Shi Lian stood side by side.
Yu Mei's smirk was immediate, her gaze flicking from Alex to Xue Lian and back. "About time. I was starting to wonder if you'd try to stay in there forever."
Shi Lian's eyes were warmer, her smile subtle but genuine. "Welcome back."
Xue Lian met their gazes without flinching. There was no shame in her stance, only the quiet confidence of someone who had stepped into the bubble as a former sect master… and stepped out as something far more personal.
Yu Mei's smirk deepened as her eyes moved from Xue Lian's face to the faint glow in her aura. "Looks like you didn't just spend your time enjoying him. You're radiating stronger than when you went in."
Before Xue Lian could answer, Shi Lian stepped closer, her voice calm but laced with quiet pride. "We know the feeling. We've been with Alex many times ourselves. Each time…" she let her gaze slide toward him briefly, "…it pushes us further than any cultivation method ever could."
Yu Mei folded her arms, her smile turning sharper. "We're Level 9 now — both of us. But not just any Level 9. With what we've gained from him, we could kill a normal Level 9 in less than a minute… without even breaking a sweat."
Xue Lian blinked, taking in the weight of those words. She knew better than most how vast the gap between cultivators could be even within the same stage. The casual certainty in their voices wasn't arrogance — it was fact.
Shi Lian's tone softened, but there was steel beneath it. "It's not just raw power, either. Our mana flow is cleaner, our foundations tighter. He… refines us."
Yu Mei glanced sidelong at Xue Lian, her smirk easing into something more genuine. "So whatever you felt in there — the strength, the clarity — it's only the beginning."
Alex said nothing, letting their words stand. His eyes moved between the three women, reading their expressions — pride in Yu Mei, calm assurance in Shi Lian, and a quiet, dawning understanding in Xue Lian.
She didn't argue or question it. Instead, she stepped closer to Alex's side, her fingers brushing his briefly in silent acknowledgment. She understood now that her own gains were part of something larger — a pattern that tied them all to him in more ways than one.
Yu Mei's smirk returned, but this time it carried the glint of something deeper — not just teasing, but purpose. She stepped a little closer to Xue Lian, lowering her voice just enough to make the words feel private even though Alex could hear every one.
"Tell me, Xue Lian… did Alex tell you about our plan?"
Xue Lian raised a brow slightly. "Plan?"
Shi Lian's lips curved faintly, her gaze steady. "To turn everyone here — and I do mean everyone — into Alex's sex slaves."
The bluntness hit with the same weight it had when Yu Mei first said it to her days ago. Xue Lian searched their faces, but there was no hesitation, no shame.
Yu Mei leaned in, her tone smooth and certain. "We want you to work with us. You know what it's like now — what it feels like to have him inside you, to give yourself completely. Imagine dozens of elders and hundreds of disciples… all bound to him the same way."
Xue Lian's eyes narrowed slightly, not in refusal, but in thought.
"You've had those people following you for centuries," Shi Lian continued. "They've looked to you since you were trapped in the Ice Crystal. They trust you. They obey you. And now… after what Alex did for all of us, they already have good feelings toward him."
Yu Mei's voice sharpened, her words precise. "That makes them ripe for the taking. Seduce them. Plant the idea, soften their resistance. Bring them to him — willingly. You could turn dozens of elders and hundreds of your disciples into his sex slaves without even having to force a single one."
Xue Lian's lips parted slightly, a slow exhale leaving her as she considered the scope of it.
Shi Lian's eyes glinted. "And we're not stopping with your people. We're doing the same with the other former sect masters, their elders, and their disciples. Together, we're talking about more than fifty elders and over five hundred disciples."
Yu Mei's smile was wicked now, but there was no cruelty in it — only intent. "That's more than enough to be a good starting point for him. From there… it only grows."
For a long moment, Xue Lian didn't speak. The weight of their ambition pressed in — not as a threat, but as a vision. The image they painted was clear: an entire core of elite cultivators, all loyal to Alex not through duty, but through the same intoxicating bond she now carried in her body and mind.
Yu Mei's voice softened, though the heat behind it didn't fade. "You've felt him. You know what it does to you — not just your strength, but everything. Imagine that multiplied, woven into an entire force bound to him."
Shi Lian added quietly, "It's not just power for him. It's security for all of us. No one will be able to move against him — or us — without being crushed."
Xue Lian finally let out a quiet laugh, low and almost disbelieving. "You two are relentless."
Yu Mei's smirk widened. "We're just honest. And you'll thank us when you see what it looks like in practice."
Alex had stayed silent through their pitch, watching Xue Lian's reaction. She glanced at him now, the corner of her mouth curving slightly. "If I agree… it won't be because you've convinced me with your ambition." Her violet eyes glinted with something softer. "It will be because I can't say no to him."
Yu Mei and Shi Lian exchanged a knowing look.
"That's all we need," Shi Lian said simply.
