Now it was truly a case of waiting for the rabbit to run into the tree stump. It was just past 5,00 PM now. Given Eloise's usual habits, she wouldn't arrive until at least 8,00 PM.
Luis thought it over and called Teacher Blanche at the Store. Thinking he had nothing better to do anyway, he decided to take the car in for maintenance, or at least get it washed.
"Sure, you haven't picked up your after sales service card yet, have you? That damn Nancy mentioned it several times but never showed up. It's really something, being responsible for driving but not for maintenance."
