In the temporary ward, a disheveled young woman lay on the bed, groaning in pain.
The young nurse said, "You must be the patient's family. We're about to take her for a CT scan and an MRI. Please go pay the fee bill first."
"Alright, alright!"
Logan immediately picked up the bill and ran off to pay.
Under the nurse's guidance, Cedric and Eloise wheeled the hospital bed to conduct the examinations. Logan paid the fees and rushed right back.
"It would be better if you lifted her up onto it like this!"
The young nurse instructed from the side.
Logan stepped forward to help. Embarrassingly, the old fellow was physically weak to begin with and never did any manual labor in his daily life.
The saying "a scholar is utterly useless" was perfectly embodied in him. His face turned pale as he exerted some force, but he stumbled and nearly dropped his sister Serena onto the floor.
"Uh, let's do it together!"
Logan said awkwardly. Just that single effort had him panting heavily.
