I was told these were the sisters three. The deadly trio who have never failed the leader. The harbinger is called Kerrigan Eldritch. The closest one to us was a woman wearing a red dress with a black corset. Her sandy blonde hair was flowing to her ankles. She had a cloak that looked like it was made from smoke. On her left was a woman that was enveloped in shadows. Her entire body was hidden but her face was barely visible even though she wore a sheer veil. It looked distorted. To her right was a woman dressed in white voluminous dress with a red cloak that looked like it was bleeding. Her entire eyes were white so was her hair and her skin was pale but seemed to absorb light. Covering her entire neck was a gray choker necklace with a black teardrop shaped stone dangling in the middle. The stone flashed red every few seconds. I could have sworn that I saw someone was trapped inside it. Behind the women was a tall man with wolfish features wearing a thick black fur coat. Half his face was covered with a thick beard. He wore a black crown with spikes on them. He stood not far behind as though he was their protection. A woman sat next to him with the air of entitlement and mild interest. She must have been crying at some point because below her eyes were several lines heading towards her mouth. They were stained with black mascara. She wore a sleeveless, strapless and backless black sweetheart dress with a tight corset held with a gold cord. The silver belt was decorated with dangling trophies. A golden braided crown with the head of the minotaur in the middle and a ribbed black crescent moon half covered by black roses and three gold skulls facing in different directions. Two thorned golden halos one smaller and one larger behind her. Her cherry red hair was let loose to give a wild appearance. She was holding a gold hilted sword. When she raised her head to stare at me I realized she was blind. She touched the rows of black pearl necklaces she wore as though she was searching for a hidden surprise. Each necklace was longer than that last. She pulled out a flask and took a sip
The women stared at us for a moment and whispered something each other in a language unknown to me. I can tell that was not good news. They spoke for what felt like hours and they cast a spell which bounced off the barrier. It was a red light that seemed to pulse like a heart. It hit the barrier once and bounced off. Then hit it several more times before it flew off to hit the blind one. The sandy haired one threw off her smoke cloak and absorbed the spell. She came closer to see which enchantments prevented her spell from going through. Once she was certain she knew what she was dealing with it. She tapped her long red nails in the barrier and it sounded like she was playing music on the glass. With a snap a crack appeared on the barrier. In rapid succession a spiderweb pattern emerged and spread at lightning speed. We had no choice but to back away. With a simple knock the barrier came crashing down. She stepped back and the woman in a black veil stepped forward. She extended her hand. It was pitch black as it was dripping ink. She temporarily possessed my body. I fought as my legs obediently moved to meet her. She cruelly smiled as I was forced to extend my hand and she saw where the Talons were. She gave me a small smile and glided back to the others. The black liquid slipped off my hand and floated in the air for a second back to her finger. The red dressed one waved her hand. The wolf man fell face first as though he was shoved down hard and he extended his hand as though he was pleading for help. Then his nails turned into claws and he raked his nails on his clothes and ripped them off. His screams grew louder as his ribs began to expand. He convulsed as thick black fur grew and covered his fair skin. His eyes were searching for anything to hold on to as fear overwhelmed him. His green eyes pleaded for help before his body caught fire. As the blue flames receded he had turned into a huge wolf standing on its hind legs. The yellow eyes stared at me with intense accusations as he let out a howl. He sounded like he was screaming profanities at me. He jumped out of sight as he ran away. He barked every few feet. Soon his barking grew fainter as he got farther away. Where he went and what he was doing was anyone's guess.
The red dressed one casually waved at us as she disappeared into red mist. It swirled several times before turning into a tornado and destroyed everything on its path. The veiled one gave a crazed smile before her gaunt expression froze in pain. Shadows rose and enveloped her. She writhed as she slowly sank into the shadows. The red one wrapped her cloak around her body and she became a bunch of bats and flew at us before changing directions. I heard the women laughing maliciously. Then suddenly I heard screams of terror. Erebus laughed as the skeleton king explained that they are now trapped in a pocket dimension where their magic is siphoned to hold them as permanent prisoners. The wolf came back and tried to leave by the golden sword lady conjured chains out of nowhere and tried to hold him here. I used the stringless bow to cut the chains and he came running and sat beside me completely docile. He sat still as a corpse till the planetary alignment came to an end. Erebus sent a gust of wind to explain the danger had passed. The locals came out of hiding and we went back to the mansion. The wolf-like man introduced himself as Faust Darkstorm. Evander was his baby brother. The two hugged each other and he thanked me for the rescue. Zilmera escorted him to a guest bedroom so he could get some rest. Erebus mentioned that she owes me for rescuing her from possession.
Tiberius laughed thinking she was joking. This lasted till she gave him the death stare. He coughed several times and walked off to strengthen the wards in case someone tried to break in. I suggested quick sand as a trap. If they escaped that the dragon painting could set them on fire. Then the ghost could chase them all over before Mr. Crane shows them out. Erebus slid off her chair and had a severe seizure. She was foaming at the mouth. She froze for a moment before she gasped deeply for breath. She got up and explained what she saw. A black castle that was so tall. It has several towers taller than the castle itself. The entire building looked like it was trying to reach the sky. There were white light emanating from the slit like windows. A blonde woman wearing a backless charcoal gown with sashes tied to her upper arm and ankle made it look like wings. She raised her hands up high as though in worship and there was a deafening bang. The skeleton king promised to research it in his unworldly library. The others ran to find the secret library of Oleandra. Mom came to check on me. She saw that we were busy so she promised to visit later. I promised to see her once the problem was solved. I went upstairs to check the Grimoire. The pages had opened by itself to show a witch named Elowan Yew. A Noir user who has been trapped after a new spell she was working on backfired. She has gone mad as she tried to escape the deadly place called Helios Zenith. The towering castle is called Desiderium. A building filled to the brim with hopeful souls who are trying to escape the place only to be overwhelmed with despair at the end of each effort. The book says she was trying to be a Virulent. Otherwise known as the poison touch. Right now she is hoping to find a way out. Helios won't allow her to leave unless someone else takes her place. I explained my discovery to everyone. They promised to find a way to keep her in Helios. They wished luck as I walked out to meet my mother for dinner.
We met at the diner. She asked me what happened. I explained how the rift was opened by a witch on the other side. We managed to shut it. Only to have it open elsewhere. We had to shut several rifts as they opened at random places. Till we reached a stalemate. She asked about the laughter that turned into screaming. I explained about the sisters three. I was possessed by one and how they were duped into a prison where they won't be able to hurt anyone. They are trying to find something called The Talons. They believe it can help cover the world in eternal night. Frost covers the world as monsters roam free feeding off the life force of people. The nearest table leaned forward to eavesdrop. I explained the different types of darklings that got out. Mom wanted details about an explosion. I explained the black liquid that tried to stab us. How it was almost contained before the box went boom. The shriek wasn't us. It was a shopkeeper who was snooping around the window when went boom. She was the one who yelled out in surprise. She asked me about the cold. I explained about Hexa and how she stays hidden as she casts spells. She stays illusive so she can do more damage. The rift has closed and it won't open unless someone from this side or the other does the dark ritual. The planetary alignment had thinned the barrier between us and Yami but the barrier is thickening because the planets are going their separate ways.
The lumberjack asked me if we were thinking about going to Yami to kill Hexa and company. I explained that we never saw Hexa so she is going to walk away from punishment but the the ones we saw on the other side will face consequences. I can't just barge in and start killing people. It will violate the accords of fourteen eighty five. The agreement says Yami makes sure that its citizens don't come here. If they chose to sneak in then we can kill them only. But if we go there to kill anyone then they will use immortal magic to make a permanent door to come and go as they please. I asked him if he likes being sequestered in his house as they show up whenever they are pleased to do what they want. He took a deep breath and apologized. He asked if there was any loophole that could punish the ones who have been entering the town. I told him that the ones who came have been dealt with. I am not trying to reach the leader of the demon world Yami in the hopes to get some justice just so anyone can barge and interfere. Then whoever is in charge on the other side can easily demand anything. Then we will be knee deep in trouble. He asked what my demands would be if I do a conference call. I explained that I want the heads of the ones who are so interested in coming over here to hurt everyone. I will demand the text books that have been used to educate them be destroyed or redacted or locked away. If they cross this side again with or without the help from people on this side of society then my companions and I get to go inside Yami and kill the ones responsible. He gave me a handshake and walked back to his seat. I am guessing he was telling his buddies everything. The waitress with purple hair was eavesdropping. Mom pointed out that she is the town's most notorious gossip.
