"The soul becomes extremely unstable..." Wizette murmured, still unable to suppress his curiosity. He asked another question. "Headmaster Slytherin, what consequences does this cause?"
Salazar Slytherin asked back, "Ever read a story called 'The Warlock's Hairy Heart'?"
"'The Warlock's Hairy Heart'?" Wizette thought briefly. "If it's The Warlock's Hairy Heart... I've read it."
Salazar Slytherin nodded. "Yes, that story."
Letting Wizette speak and think could effectively extend his waking time.
Wizette understood this. He immediately searched his mind and read The Warlock's Hairy Heart again, trying to understand Horcrux side effects through reading and summarizing.
The warlock in the story believed emotions were fragile, so he used Dark Magic to separate emotions, stored them in his heart, and locked it in a crystal casket.
This was extremely similar to Horcruxes. Voldemort probably wanted to avoid death, so through Dark Magic he tore his soul apart, stored it in some magical device, and created a Horcrux.
The warlock in the story lost the heart that anchored emotions, became cold and ruthless, could trample others' lives at will—that's why he killed his fiancée.
Voldemort was equally cold and ruthless, even carried a mad quality. He blamed everything on Dumbledore, believed Dumbledore made him that way.
He was just using Quirrell, didn't care about Quirrell's life or death, wouldn't hesitate to drain Quirrell's life force to give himself more mobility.
After analyzing these two key points, Wizette spoke. "Headmaster Slytherin, that means... after creating a Horcrux..."
"Their humanity or emotions are stripped away. They become numb, even show madness. Right?"
"Yes!" Salazar Slytherin confirmed. "You extracted the most important points. Seems the person you mentioned indeed created a Horcrux. Any other questions?"
Wizette took notes while asking. "Headmaster Slytherin, I don't know how similar Horcruxes are to The Warlock's Hairy Heart..."
"But I see one point that seems to deviate considerably from my current situation."
"Oh?" Salazar Slytherin raised an eyebrow. "Tell me!"
"Headmaster Slytherin..." Wizette drew a few strokes in his notebook. "Considering Horcruxes based on The Warlock's Hairy Heart... Normally, they lack autonomous mobility."
"Only when sensing danger would they resist, like the story said—the hairy heart wouldn't return to the crystal casket. Right?"
Salazar Slytherin raised an eyebrow, his tone carrying mockery. "You're saying... you encountered a Horcrux that acts autonomously?"
"I'm afraid so." Wizette nodded. "Compared to the person I met last year, the one now... seems more calculating."
He recalled his conversation with Dumbledore. "According to Headmaster Dumbledore, there might be a second soul... A younger, more cunning soul."
"There's such a fool?" Salazar Slytherin's mockery grew more obvious. "Looks like when creating the Horcrux, he didn't grasp the measure."
Wizette followed Slytherin's words and asked tentatively, "So this happens because he tore too much soul?"
Salazar Slytherin waved his hand. "If this person won't die no matter what, he most likely created a Horcrux."
"If a soul is acting with obvious differences, he most likely tore too much soul."
"Of course, this is based on your description. I can't guarantee absolute accuracy. You must understand this."
"Because magic has many types... Many special cases." Wizette nodded in understanding. "Headmaster Slytherin, how should I deal with this soul?"
Since Voldemort's situation was clarified, time to consider solutions.
Though he was interested in Horcruxes, now wasn't the time for deep study. Salazar Slytherin obviously didn't have that much energy.
"Use a Geis..." Salazar Slytherin murmured. "Plus a container similar to a soul..."
"Patronus Charm?" Wizette raised his wand. "Expecto Patronum!"
The Obscurus-form Patronus leaped from his wand tip and radiated warmth around.
"Hm..." Salazar Slytherin took a deep breath, like enjoying this warmth.
His spirit seemed somewhat revived. "Very powerful Patronus. Emotions more abundant than I imagined... Indeed a container similar to a soul. Who taught you this?"
Wizette replied, "Professor Snape. He comprehensively taught me to master the Patronus Charm... Different from normal Patronus casting methods."
"Oh! You mentioned this wizard." Salazar Slytherin recalled. "He's Slytherin House's Potions professor. Seems proficient in Defense Against the Dark Arts too..."
"This is what Slytherin students should be!" He nodded with satisfaction. "But your Patronus... Why hasn't it condensed into corporeal form?"
"Actually it's already corporeal." Wizette said truthfully. "But now in Obscurus form."
"Now in Obscurus form?" Salazar Slytherin's tone revealed surprise.
He narrowed his eyes slightly, examined carefully, and nodded. "Very deceptive. Based on what you said... You have other corporeal Patronus forms?"
Wizette nodded. "Two other forms."
"Mm..." Salazar Slytherin hesitated, finally rubbed his temples. "Let's begin!"
"Maintain the corporeal Patronus. Through the incantation, release your Geis and apply it to the corporeal Patronus..."
The Geis was somewhat similar to Ancient Magic power. Driving the Geis during casting could give magic related characteristics.
Wizette understood this well. After patiently listening to the entire process, he cast the Geis without hesitation.
"Nauthiz!"
His eyes emitted gray light, forming a shape like "ᚾ" that lunged at the corporeal Patronus floating in midair.
A gray shell appeared and quickly covered the corporeal Patronus completely. The Obscurus-like smoke-phantom waves solidified, becoming statue-like.
"This is a 'Spirit Lure'..." Salazar Slytherin's lips curved up. "Compared to Horcruxes, Spirit Lures have unique attraction for souls torn too much."
