Lu Ting shook her head blankly.
Wei Lai looked at her, somewhat puzzled, and said, "Sorry, I wasn't paying much attention just now. Are you really okay?"
Lu Ting showed a sweet smile, her voice catching slightly, "I'm fine."
"That's good."
"Wei Lai, what are you standing there for? Hurry up." Someone ahead called out Wei Lai's name.
Wei Lai was having a meal with some old friends at a restaurant today, and a small misstep led to this embarrassing incident.
"Well, comrade, since you're okay, I'll be on my way then," Wei Lai said.
Lu Ting nodded dazedly.
It wasn't until Wei Lai left that Lu Ting reluctantly withdrew her gaze, feeling her heart flutter.
Lu Ting clutched her chest, her cheeks slightly flushed.
"Wei Lai, who was that woman just now? Your girlfriend?" Wei Lai's friends teased.
Wei Lai frowned, "Don't talk nonsense. It's not nice to speak about the lady like that."
"Alright, alright, just joking." The men linked arms and left.
