Lily Shaw displayed the clean diamond in her palm, smiled gently at Eldest Young Master Grant, then reached out to hug his waist, sincerely thanking him again: "Husband, thank you. I love the surprise you prepared."
The couple returned to the dining table to find Henry Lennox miserably gulping down his soup, and Lily's eyes flashed with satisfaction. But since he was a guest, she couldn't take it too far, so just as Henry was about to get himself a second bowl of dumpling soup, Lily spoke up.
"Young Master Lennox, Mandy was just messing with you earlier. This pot of dumpling soup was just a smokescreen I specially prepared, all to lower your guard," Lily explained with a light laugh. She never actually intended to force everyone at the table to drink all that soup.
Everyone present had grown up with a silver spoon in their mouth; to force them to finish the dumpling soup would be a bit much.
