Roy Thompson's lips curled into a mocking smile. He'd known Mandy Young for who knows how much longer than Henry Lennox—Mandy was like a big sister to him.
Sure, this big sister could be a bit impulsive and reckless, but she genuinely and wholeheartedly looked out for Lily and him. Just for that, he'd rather eat that dumpling himself before letting Mandy take the fall.
"Roy, just say it, was it you or not?" Henry Lennox's hand was grabbed by Eldest Young Master Grant, and he forced himself to calm down. But the second he saw Roy's mocking face, his temper flared up again.
"Not me. I'd rather eat it myself than let Mandy take it!" Roy shot up and spit those words out one by one. He glanced dismissively at the fuming Henry Lennox, "Young Master Lennox, it's just a game. And Lily always knows what she's doing—she wouldn't put anything in the dumpling that could actually cause harm."
